Audrey, Wow, You have done a wonderful job. Its an inspiration to see pics. I can't believe I didn't even think about taking before pictyres. Going to have to have my son send some from his wedding. Thats when I decided I really needed to do something about my weight. Assuming Chris is your husband...He must be very proud of you. If he isn't your husband he still better be proud of you LOL

    WATER Challenge

Well just arrived at work with my Water bottles and rubber bands... Michelle even though a trainer told you that she should let your know that drinking to much water isn't good for you either. The amount 64oz of water most of our Dr's want us to drink is plenty for the flushing of our systems. Drinking water can be over done and I have done it twice since being banded. Its called over hydrating yourself and it makes you feel like your drunk. Also our water drinking needs to be stopped long enough before bedtime to prevent your sleep from being disturbed due to the manytrips to bathroom. Since I used to work swing shifts I have read alot about sleep and what is good and what is bad. Also since having sleep apnea I know about disturbed sleep(not to be confused with being a disturbed individual). If you do not get at least 2 hrs of undisturbed sleep your body will treat it as wake time..Although you may feel awake after 90 mins of sleep you will quickly tire. A 20 minute nap is healthy as it will help you rejuvinate a bit but its only a short term fix. So if your drinking too much water or drinking to close to heading to bed and you have to get up ever so many hours to unload then your body may not be getting the sleep benifits it needs and this will only cause more health problems. The water just like all other aspects of this lapband life has to be adjust to work for each of us as individuals. Good luck finding what works for you.

    WATER Challenge

Paula, I don't have a problem with the Water end of it. I work midnights and I am normally alone in the building. When I have to get rid of the water I have to call over the radio to have a car stop by the station and then everyone in all six cities on our radio system knows "Greg has to go" What I need is a big supply rubberbands.
  5. No lawsuit..Phew knew I loved ya for the right reasons

You posted here Suzette...Your already involved ...lol Stick with us and we keep you in stiches.
  7. Ok Ok Ok...Hold on right here Becky. You told me men are turned on by cimmamon and you were looking to get the old man active.lol lol. So I sent a receip that if made right would do the trick. This plan was to get husband active so you could burn off some calories Hmmmmm won't say how. YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO EAT THE CIMMAMON BARS TOO. Suppose since I didn't add the footnote to the e-mail I sent about YOU not eating any will result in me being sued for your weight gain. Ha go ahead. means you have to make a personal appearnce in court same time I do and then I can give you a big hug...lol I made them damn cimmamon bars last week for a church function and was so proud of myself that I doidn't eat a single one while at home. Got to church and couldn't stay out of them. Wife said looks like you eat three pounds of them. Damn thats what I gained this week. She is good.

    1st annual BANDSTOCK

June 25th is fine with me and Kelly it is 4 days before my 55th birthday. Lyle I'll be calling you next day or two and get my feet wet. Looking forward to helping to make Woodstock a forgotten thing...lol
  9. Damn Battery still had juice. Oh well. First time since I have been banded I have gained. BUT I know the reason and I can't blame anyone else but the following people: Next door neighboors for sending over One of thier famous Desserts, My sister for bringing another pumpkin pie to the house, fellow workers for loading the work place up with chocolates, cakes and Cookies, Krogers, Farmer Jacks, Meijer and all the other stores that sell food for being open last week. And lastly Home Depot for being out of duct tape so I couldn't keep my mouth shut. Now I have to work extra hard to get off the three pounds I picked up. But I will do it.
  10. Well I don't know about all of you but I'm praying that when I wake up in the morning the 9 volt battery in my scale is dead and a state wide search for a fresh battery results in none available due to the large volumn of toys sold requiring this battery. I'm also hoping not one single family member purchased one of these toys and will offer me the battery. Further more I am hoping the stores have a one month delivery date for replacement batteries. I know what you are all saying....Dummy take one out of the several smoke alarms in the house..put it in the scale and then after getting the reading replace it in the smoke alarm. I have thought about that but here is my problem. I have 4 smoke alarms in the house each placed in an important area of the home. Which one do I choose and what do I do if for that brief moment the battery is out that smoke alarm. What if there is an undetected need for that alarm to sound and I have the battery in my hand. I could suffer severe damage to my home and property. the resulting fire could spread to my neighbors and they could lose their homes and then several near by business could also be involved cause the lose of jobs. I'd be written up in the paper, probably with a picture of me with the battery in my hand, and scorned by the community. What all this for a reading on the scale I don't want in the first place this week. HMMMMMMMMMMM please advise. My alternative is to sleep till Tuesday and hope some of this holiday junk has past thru the old system.

    Snowing in Texas

Snow and cold is the common thing here in Detroit. We get it right after Zoe does in Chicago. Just shoveled 8" of that beautiful white stuff two days ago Tonight I left my in laws to head to church for 10pm services. Got to church at 9:30 for a short choir practice before services and then had the mass. Got out church at 11:30 and went to my car to head to work and my three bottles of Propell where frozen already. Now thats cold. Its like 5 degrees out there right now. Since being banded and lossing weight I'm cold all the time and never was before. Dr says its because when you carry that extra weight your systems are always active and that creates warmth. Used to sleep in the winter time without blankets and was always comfortable. Now its PJ's socks and two blankets and comforter. And I'm still chilled. lol Oh well I'll take this instead of the extra weight.

    1st annual BANDSTOCK

Becky, Yes I'm from the 60's (was very young then...actually still very young LOL) Was a great time for music in those days. Still cling to the radio stations that play the classics when I'm not on talk radio trying to expand my horizons. Those "Funny Brownies" would actually qualify as any meal in those days. lol Were a great side dish to prime rib. Funny how life changes...Used to take drugs to get away from reality now we take them to get back...Me I just stand up fast to get the same feeling used to get in those days. Isn't life grand. Merry Christmas all

Paula...Yes I went to Woodstock. August of 69 was a traveling month for me and my buddies. We all left in Sept of 69 for Viet Nam. We drove for several days to get to Woodstock and never did actually make it to the field as the Police had shut down the roads when we got there. But we did party just outside the main event and could hear the music. And if I could ever find my tickets (somewhere in one of these boxes of my past I have dragged with me thru my life) I could post them here. I was a Janis and Jimmie freak back in those days. And now they are both gone. I also went to See the Beatles when they first came to Detroit at the old Olympia Stadium. Now I'm a talk radio freak...lol

    Chicago bash, anyone?

LOL Becky It means "What are you doing on this fine day" I really enjoyed taking Italian and I love to listen to those who speak the romantic languages. I can read Italian and write it I just can't get my brain to formulate the words so I can speak it.( Hell I have a hard enough time duing this with the enh=glish language) I actually took it in college so I'd be able to understand what my mother in law and my wife's grandmother would say when I walked into a room. LOL they would be talking english till I showed up the switch to Italian. After I took it found out due to their Dialect I couldn't understand them anyway. I learned formal Italian.
