Brighteyes, Your in the worse part of the whole process right now. Your banded but still hungry and can't figure out why you did this if it isn't going to work. Well it does work. You will work with the Dr by keeping track of how your eating and how you feel before during and after. He/she will then fill the band maybe several times over the next few months until you get it to the "Sweetspot". Just be mindfull of what you are eating and you will see weight lose regardless of the fact you feel full. We all went thru this...just hang in there you'll go great

I'd suggest calling your Dr and having him examine the band. The vomiting from the flu may have moved it since it was recently placed.

People who have the bypass do not process the food they take in like we do. Their stool is made up of food that are not fully digested thus the stool will have a stronger odor about it. And since flatuance is simply air passing over the stoll the odor may be a bit stronger. I have several friends who have had bypass and just standing near then they do not give off any more of an odor then anyone else in the room.

Blossom, I have trouble with meat and cured it bye changing to more fish. But when I do eat it I, like Michelle, take a veggie with it while chewing. trouble is I cut my meat into very small pieces and then chew very well. The meat tends to get cold fast like this and then I don't enjoy it....Pain nuking the meat 4 or 5 times during the meal.

Mom, PB means productive belching. When something you put in comes back out. Similar to over feeding a baby ad then burping them and getting the baby food back at you. Some people do this in a mild fashion some little harder then others. When I first went back to eating I was eating egg beaters ever morning. And every moring food was getting stuck...So since white breads are a no no on my list I started checking out different breads(toasted of course) Same thing sticking everyday. SO I figured I had to cut out the breads all together..But it doesn't happen when I eat a sandwhich. The I read on one of the treads that someone was having trouble with eggs. I coulnd't believe it. EGGS??? my how could they stick. But after every morning having pain I tried easting every thing but the eggs and no matter what breads I toast I have no trouble till I had an egg or egg beater in there. SO it was the eggs and not there on myown personal NO NO list. It is hit and miss with a lot of foods. Just experiment with very small portions and chew very good and if you can tolerate it your fine if not add to your NO NO list

Trish, As long as you don't tell the Dr you know ME you'll get thru that Physic exam ok. Your dispair is normal as you can see by everyone else telling you they went thru it...So did I and I'm probably the oldest one here (so far). I'm 54 so I went thru many more years then other trying to lose the weight. took my son's wedding, (thank God for the internet),to get me to see the light lol. Remember God Loves you and he has a plan for you as he does for all of us, And we all love ya too and count you in our family... Oh by the way Sunday dinner is at your house this week and the whole family is coming. Jammie says you and her are in the same boat rowing towards your goals... Soon your going to get a little motor and you won't have to row but motor towards that goal. Good luck and best wishes to both of you. Damn, You keep planning these bashes in Vegas over Holiday weekends... must be a conspiracey to keep Greg out of town...LOL Still to low on senority list to get this holiday weekend off just like LAbor day one. Oh Well. Day shift girl is retiring before Summer(so she says) and if she does I will be able to get some Holidays off since I will move up a notch in senority. Right now she took Memorial day weekend off and the girl just before me has LAbor Day. I got 4th of July but I'll still be recovering from the BANDSTOCK here in Michigan...lol Will be glad to chair the Pity party here on LBT

Used to getting thown out of places LOL... But I don't drive home...

Ok who snuck a holiday in here last week. LOL I picked up a pound. Go figure...Doing more exercise and watching close what I eat except salad I can't really see it well under all the croutons...Opps maybe thats it. Damn ever read the side of a croutin package, Holy cow. So this week its swear off them darn croutons. Going to have to have my salad naked. Oh well Adam and Eve didn't have croutons either. Hope to have a better week... Hope you all do too. Teresa & Michelle your doing great job....Ty michelle for starting this. It was a Godsend to get me out of the everyday scale peeking that doesn't help at all. In old days this one pound gain would have sent me on a eating spree instead made me get on treadmill and do my 5 miles first thing so its done and out of the way.. Won't spend all day trying to come up with things to do or reason not to get on the darn thing. Done, finato kaput over and out roger.

TLK Whats long term for you. Here in Michigan its only been available since 2001. Most I know haven't had it for more then a year. but even in that time everyone seems to be doing well. I have a friend who had his done Feb 2004 and he is two pounds form his goal weight. He lost somewhere around 90 pounds.

cadydid, Detroit Metro Airport DTW is close and so would be Bishop Airport in Flint Michigan. I will be scheduled off from work and at this time I will be available to make trips back and forth from airport to Hotels/Motels in the area. Just let me know flight times and sleeping locations. I have an Explorer so I can hande several people at a time. I figure if I charge $100.00 per person to shuttle you back and forth the cost of getting into the hall won't seem so bad LOL LOL.. More to come as our committee gets things lined up but anyone who wants to come just has to get to the airports we'll figure out getting you into town.
