Just investigated meetup and found no other groups.

I have never heard of meet-up so would need additional infor. But right now there are three of us. Belton, Pleasant Hill and Lee's Summit, we could find a meeting spot....maybe in Greenwood? See if we get any more responses coming and then try to set something up???

Oh good heavens, you have every right to vent! I am hoping your Doctor can get you in a better place with some relief! Please know that we are rooting for you feeling better and please post what you find out.

I go to a meeting once a month at my surgeons office, but it would be great to meet and visit if there were a few of us on the Missouri side. I live in Pleasant Hill, just south of Blue Springs. Anyone interested?

Sleeved Feb. 1. Have lost 50 and would also love to be included in closed fb group or whatever. Having hunger issues I am not handling well yet. Still trying to manage my system more effectively.

Hi, you are so excited and full of anticipation. We had Dr. Hoehn from Shawnee Mission Bariatrics. We feel that he was a wonderful choice for us. Husband has lost about 60 and me 45. Next week will be 2 months out. Are you having the sleeve?

Surgery Feb. 1. Feeling great except for bouts of burping. Husband has lost 54 and I have lost 35. Awesome!! I slipped on my wedding ring I have not worn for years and it fit!

Surgery on Feb. 1. Husband and I both on the same day. He is feeling no hunger, I am. Today's meals; 2T cream of wheat and 2T Greek yogurt, unjury chicken soup 3T and 1T unsweetened applesauce, dinner was 2T oatmeal with protein powder and 1T applesauce, 3T yogurt for snack, 4 sugar free popsicles. 1 Gatorade G2. 45 ounces of water minimum. What am I doing wrong. This is what our NUT suggests but I am having a hell of a mental game here. Suggestions???

Maybe the carbs in cream of wheat and oatmeal driving me crazy???

I have read all kinds of different things here too. On the 8th day after surgery, the NUT has us on eggs, cottage cheese, baby bell, deli meat etc...this is from week two through eight. Then start introducing new items one at a time.

I had read this could help when feeling weak. Anyone any advice on this Gatorade product?

Husband and I had our surgery yesterday morning. 2week pre-op liquid diet gave us incredible results. He was down 27 lbs and me, 20. I had them double check because I thought the scale was off. It was perfect. So, we both felt very encouraged going in to the surgery. We are on liquids for 3 days, then purée for 4 days, then mushies. Super Bowl feast at our house will be cream of wheat and strained cream soups and yogurt. Sounds wonderful to me!!! Surgery, a bit of nausea but very little, some pain but never over a six..we had good drugs. First shower tomorrow!!! How are the other Feb. sleevers that had surgery this week??

Yea, great news for you! I am taking mouth moisturizing mouth wash, toothbrush and paste, brush, lotion and chapstick. Also sweat pants so I can stroll the halls.

My husband has surgery in the morning and is totally shot. Had really hard time getting through work the last few days. Is this normal? Getting protein and liquids, so not deficient.

Husband and I go in the morning. Me 7:30, hub at 8:45. Soooooo excited! Good thoughts to all of us February sleevers! Better health awaits!

I just found this KC group, but sure not much active posts as yet. Husband and I are both getting sleeved by Dr. Hoehn on Feb. 1. Everyone here is way ahead of us. Anyone willing to share stories, progress, tips, products etc??? We are both doing the 2 week liquid diet right now.

I also have thyroid issue and am fearful it will make things not work as well. You may be prepping now!!! I have my surgery February 1. Positive thoughts!

We are both having surgery on Feb. 1. Taking care of ourselves, but can call friends if needed. How did you two do?
