I will have to check that out. Thanks for the info!

    Austin, Tx Sleevers!

We should. Do you like Planet Fitness? I haven't joined a gym yet and have been thinking of doing it. I still have fears of working out around other people even with the weight I have lost.

    Birth Control Post Surgery? Nuvaring?

I have been using nuvaring for about 2 years. I was horrible at remembering to take the pill so this is better for me. It takes some getting used to putting it in and taking it out. I rarely feel it but sometimes right before it is time to take out for the week off it gets irritating.

    Wontons Vs Bread

Just my thoughts here. The Protein to carb ratio in a wonton is typically more sleeve friendly. A thin wonton wrapper stuffed with protein should fill you and you get a good amount of protein. A bowl of pasta is typically mostly carbs so you will fill up on that before you get in your protein requirements.

    Austin, Tx Sleevers!

Basically Austin, I am in Round Rock, TX. 7 months out and doing great. It is so easy to eat out here, I agree. I don't know what I would do without tacos!

    I Can Eat :)

I eat tacos all the time too, at least once a week, but often multiple times. I used to eat 2 or 3 stuffed full tacos with tortilla. Now I eat 1. At 7 months out I can finish it, but usually leave some tortilla. I love my sleeve!

    3.5 Months Out - Bleeding

Agree. Bright red typically means it is close to or at the opening it is coming out of. This happens to me when I get constipated and have to struggle to go. A lot of times I do not see the blood until the time I go after the initial BM. Calling your doctor is always a good step. You never want to take a chance.

When Can We Drink Coffee Again?

I have coffee everyday since 2 weeks out. I was ok to have it from day one. No problems with it for me. I use fat free creamer and no sugar so I am not drinking my calories though.
  9. Ha! I still surprise myself sometimes when I go to scratch an itch or something and feel a bone I forgot existed.

    Omg Help!

It should pass. Just stand or sit very straight. Walking lightly helps when I over eat too. The nosiness gets less after you are further out too.
  11. Have been in a major stall, only 3 lbs in the last month which has me feeling down. I know going from size 22 to 14 in 7 months and 72 lbs gone is a huge accomplishment but still the stall sucks. I cleaned out a drawer full of jeans today and thought for fun I would put on those 22s just to see. I couldn't believe how baggy they were! Really helped remind me of how well I am doing and made me feel good. I am going to hang on to those jeans and put them on if I start feeling down about a stall again. Just wanted to share.

    Where Is Incision?

Yes, there will be one larger than the rest because they pull the stomach out from that one.

    Where Is Incision?

I have one in the middle up high (in the picture from scorpion509 there is no instrument there but a mark), one on the far right and also far left in the middle and two just above my belly button. The one that hurts the most is one just above the belly button. Could be left or right side depending on the surgeon. After I was sleeved, any pressure on my abdomen was not pleasant. Even though the waist band was below my incision, if it was even slightly fitted it would push up when I sat down and be uncomfortable. I stuck with loose pajama pants for the better part of a week. Same issue with bras. My soft sports bra was ok, but my underwire bras were not comfortable for a little over a week.

    Liquid Laxative

For sure do it if that is what your surgeon ordered. Not everyone has to take it (I did not) but they are expecting you to have taken it and plan your surgery accordingly. I wouldn't take any chances.
  15. I thought the pureeing was so we didn't accidentally swallow something too big and hurt our healing stomachs. There seems to be a huge difference in the diets and nutritionist. I don't think it would hurt if you wanted to do purees for awhile. I know I couldn't chew up my food enough to feel comfortable for weeks. How long is your liquid phase? Maybe if they do a longer liquid phase they skip pureed? I haven't heard of the where you are at a year is where you will stay. I think there are people on here who took longer than a year to get to their goal. Sure it is faster at first but I think if you diet and exercise you can keep loosing weight after a year.
  16. I take: Vitafusion Multivites - 4 daily Coromega Omega3 Squeeze Packets - 2 daily Vitamin D (target brand) - 5000UI a day (I have a vitamin D deficiency) Bariatric Advantage cinnamon chewable Calcium - 1500mg a day (I hate these and always forget to take but have so many due to an ordering mistake on my part. I don't recommend them) Nature's Bounty Biotin 5000 mcg daily

    Incisions Are Itching

My itchiness only lasted a few days. I did use an anti itch cream one day because it got so bad I thought I would go crazy. That was a huge help!
  18. Yes I sometimes feel like I am reciting a monologue or something to order a coffee. You should try hazelnut with the soy latte if you haven't already. The soy really goes well with the nutty flavor.

    Beer

I have the occasional beer. I try to stick to less carbonated beers and always pour in a glass to get rid of some bubbles. I waited until about 3 months out. I can really only tolerate 1 because they make me so full. I can't remember what it is called but a good wheat beer cut with OJ is a refreshing treat and helps with the carbonation.

    No Hair Loss?

My hair loss didn't hit until about month 5. I feel like I will go bald any day now, but other people say they don't notice any thinning. I had really thick hair so I think that helps. I was starting to think I might not have any hair loss before it started.

    A Weird Hair Question

I think it is that the hair is just closer together so it looks like more. I am having the same experience. I saw a thread on here where a guy was saying it seemed like he had more chest hair for the same reason so I think it is common.

    Tired Of Plain Water

I have a fruit infusion pitcher. There is a basket in the center to hold the fruit in so you can keep refilling the pitcher and reuse the fruit for about a week. Cucumber is great and I also love strawberry. I want to try cucumber mint soon.
  23. Mine looks about the same. my brush is the worst so covered in hair. No one can tell my hair is thinning though. At least that is what they tell me.
