About Me
I'm a 50-something, married mom and grandmother. I'm also a fiercely independent disabled woman, a workaholic professional and a proud geek. I didn't have a weight problem until I was pregnant with my son in the '80s, but I have been slowing putting on the pounds since then. Being confined to a power wheelchair, I find it incredibly difficult to lose weight, which led me to the decision to have VSG surgery. I was 'sleeved' Nov 21, 2011 by Dr. Jin Yoo at the Duke Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery.
