I have been having the same problems. My doc said I have "sludge". It soundsbad. I was in a lot of pain this past weekend. I felt as if I had done a million sit ups. I couldn't bend over, lay on my side, back, much less on my stomach. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello. Just a quick check in. I am down 1.5 pounds. I'm at 242. The water is still a huge problem. :bananajump:

This week I was down 1.5 pounds ~ 242 NSV - I was able to raise the speed on the treadmill a little. -
I am at 244. I am walking one hour five days a week. I have stopped the junk food and I am drinking 32 ounces of water. Maybe I need to inccrease the H2O intake. :cake:

Hi! +1 pound on the scale this week ~ 244 NSV - I walked four days out of the week for one hour each day. I also finished all of the laundry during the weekend! -
Update: -.5 (243) I need to drink more water. I did exercise four times last week. Boy I could feel a difference in energy.

Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge
vtobon replied to It's me-Debbydo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Count me in! I wasn't successful in the last challenge. Maybe I'l do better this time around. Weigh in - 243.5 Goal: 234 NSV - I was finally able to walk for one hour on the treadmill! -
Carrie, I have come to not trust any form of birth control. My first child was "planned." With the other three I have a birth control pill baby, an IUD baby and a condom baby. The last was after the band surgery. I had a tubal after the last one was born. With my luck I'll still become pregnant somehow. I know some people really want to have children but I have definitely reached my limit. Good luck!

I second Betty on Michelle for most inspirational.

I agree with the "Do-Over Club" thing. I think Shell was right in one of her posts when she found out her band awas eroded "We need to get our heads out of our butt and start losing." I swear, I keep playing that comment in my head over and over.

The time I missed a period, a baby came out nine months later!

Well, put. I see myself one way and when I look in the mirror, I look totally different. It is depressing though.

Alright, I : - sip on water with my meals - have a 24 oz. cappuccino every morning - was having a coke at lunch (I stopped only this week) - don't exercise (there are a million excuses but no actions) - eat way more than the 1/2 cup limit - although I sip on water during my meals, I don't drink it at any other time No wonder I haven't lost weight! I just widh I could stop feeling sooooo hungry!

I have decided to face the truth about my weight

Becky, You have done an amazing job! Never be ashamed of where you started. Keep up the good work! -
:cry I had a fill on October 14, 2004 and two weeks later found out I was pregnant. Well, the baby is here and now I should be losing weight, right? Wrong! I am gaining weight! I never had the fill taken out. When I first had my baby I lost everything from the pregnancy within two weeks. Now I have already gained 10 pounds. I must admit that I haven't had a lot of time to exercise. I have found myself starving to the point that my stomach is really hurting! People keep telling me "Give yourself some time. You had a baby only two months ago." Well, I understand that but I shouldn't be GAINING weight. I could understand not losing but this is ridiculous. I have even thought about buying some appetite suppresants. There was also a high protein diet that includes some carbs that I was thinking about doing. What do you guys think?

Am I a bad girl or do I really need a fill?
vtobon replied to vtobon's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I am not nursing. I am to the point where I could even eat bread and not feel a thing. Yesterday, I did PB when I ate a breadstick too fast but that has been the only time.I guess I will call my doctor. What do most of you eat on a "regular" basis? -
I was also banded in Mexcio with Drs. Ortiz and Martinez. Does anyone know if there is a doctor that will fill their patients? I would hate to fly to Mexico for a fill.
-
Thanks! It feels great to be back. I have to get some pics. I had no problems with the band. In fact, I was never "unfilled". I was at my pre-pregnancy weight one week after delivery! Amazing! The band was the a great help during the pregnancy. I always find something "special" about each of my FOUR boys. This morning I realized that Christian Ryan is my "bandster baby". If anyone has any questins I will do my best to answer any questions.

Hi! It's been a while since I posted. I stopped posting because I was pregnant. Now, I am back and ready to continue losing weight.

Hi guys. Looks like you all have been doing a wonderful job. Well, I contacted my doctor about my pregnancy and he is going to leave the fillin until mid-Jan. unless I can't keep anything down. Both my ob/gyn an "regular" doctor want me to keep a close eye on my weight. The more I gain the worse my diabetes will be. My ob/gyn asked if the entire fill could stay in to control my weight.
-
Greg!!!!! I Will Never Use Your Name And Pregnant In The Same Sentence If You Don't Use My Name And Twins In The Same One!!!!!! On another note, I have to call Dr. Ortiz about my fill level.
-
Greg, Thank you for the "pick-me-up"! I didn't lose any weight this week either but I have found out why, I'm pregnant. Well, that is what two home pregnancy tests showed. Now I guess I have to get unfilled. I am so afraid. I know I will immediately gain the 31 pounds I have lost. I have found comfort in knowing that I can get a fill after my child is born. I am mostly afraid of having problems with my baby. I have diabeters and I am sure I have to do major controlling now. Well, I will see my doctor later today.

I know there was no gain but I can't help to feel sorry for myself. I thought the fill would help me lose steadily for weeks. This stall just brings my hopes down. My husband asks me once in a while how much more I have lost I always say 1/2 pound but those 1/2 pounds are starting to add up. I am thinking about telling him that I do lose the 1/2 pound but I gain it back too. He yells at me if I eat too much and feel sick afterwards. I know he tells me for my own good but sometimes the truth hurts.
