I have a treadmill but, am interested in treadclimber when my treadmill dies but, I'm kinda clumsy. Titania, do you think I'd be ok? I read while on the treadmill and think I'd probably fall off the treadclimber if I weren't paying attention. What do you think?

I had the band because I was to scared to get the sleeve. At first I lost 80 lbs but then I started to gain it all back. There were so many things I couldnt eat, veggies, salad, chicken, turkey... I was vomiting & slimming multiple times a day. I couldnt wait to get it out and I didnt have have any major complications but knew it was just a matter of time. Having the band first put me at a higher risk for leaks. The band eas a huge waste of time & money. Check ou lapband talk site & check out cinplications there. I finally feel normal again. Good luck and ((hugs)) to you.

Is "banding" The Sleeve A Common Practice?
carbgrl replied to Estrovan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm with the ex-bandsters. With all the problems I had with vomiting, sliming and not being able to eat certain foods (veggies, salad, chicken, turkey...) I'd be worried about any type of band on my stomach too and of course erosion is a given. I wish you the best. Ask about the risks and the complications. One thing I wish they had told me when I got the band is that I'd have a higher risk for leaks if I were to have a revision. -
I think you'll be ok. Good for you for quitting smoking. I quit 7 years ago. Best decision I ever made.

Not Trying To Be Grose But...
carbgrl replied to weight_no_longer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm almost 4 mos out and I've only vomited twice. Both times was because I tried to eat re-heated meat that was too dry. My tummy can't handle it. It was the same with the band and dry meat. Now, with the band, I was vomiting daily sometimes multiple times a day. It was awful. Like Excorist all over the place. Yes, very easy to vomit with the band. Blah, there it goes. Just like that. -
I've been using Mederma stretch mark cream on old (20+ yrs) and new ones and they are looking alot better.

I've been feeling the same way. I've been losing about 1 lb per wk since the beginning.

Feb Sleevers 2012 How Much Have You Loss/ Any Concerns
carbgrl replied to andkel30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Y'all are doing really great. I definitely can eat more than 3 spoonfuls and never lost my hunger. : ( Every pound is a struggle. Surgery 02/09/12 lost 36 lbs since preop diet. I can still wear the same jeans frim b4 surgery but they are loose. Dr was happy because I'm halfway to goal but I feel like I'm spinning my wheels. I exercise daily at least 1 hr per day. -

I had the band removed and sleeve done in one operation. Except for those two instances, I haven't vomited, slimed or had terrible stuck feeling in the chest. Drinking with meals is a no- no. I didn't have my band doctor do my sleeve surgery. He's kinda jerk in my opinion. Before I got the band I asked what foods I wouldn't be able to eat after the band and he said, I would be able to eat everything just in smaller quantities. That was a lie. I couldn't eat chicken, turkey, veggies, salads...When I gave him the list of the things I couldn't eat he actually said " I don't care if you can't eat those things". Then were like well do you want the sleeve. At that time, I upset and wanted the band to work. That's what I'd paid $10K for. Now, I'm just happy to have the band out and I just didn't want to pay him another $15K to do it. Another thing, after the surgery, I never saw him again. All followups were scheduled with the PA. I finally demanded to see him. Ugh, don't get me started.

12 Year Old Gastric Sleeve Patient

I definitely think an overweight child at 4 years old is the parents' fault. I think 12 is to young for the surgery. Maybe 16. -

Oh my gosh, these posts made me laugh with tears in my eyes. I needed that!!! It'll be over before you know it. Hang in there. The sugarfree popsicles helped me a lot during the liquid stage. I still eat them alot.

A few days after surgery my husband ate big cookies with icing in them next to me but since then he's jumped on the band wagon and lost 20+ lbs.
