Just Got Home From Surgery And I Am A Crying Mess! Up 5Lbs!
want2bhealthy replied to DanityChai's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I felt the same way. It's been 5 months since my surgery and I have lost 38 lbs. I am still always hungry. I go to the gym and walk the treadmill 30 min 3 days a week and do some abs and bicycle. It is taking forever for me but I can't quit eating. I crave sugar. I had heard that when you have the sleeve they take out the part of your stomach that tells you when you are hungry but I think he forgot and left mine in. Anyway, I too take it one day at a time. -

Still Hungry.....wth?!?

I stay hungry too. I get full when eating and then 1 hour later I am hungry again. My dr said it is because I don't eat breakfast and I am fooling my body into thinking I am starving it so when I do ea my body grabs the food and uses it up. He told me not to skip a meal. I just can't make myself eat breakfast. I was a big breakfast eater before the surgery but now I just can't eat until around 1:00 every day. Then I feel like I graze all afternoon and even into the night. My surgery was in December 2011. I have lost 35 lbs but feel like I should have lost more. -
I am 2 weeks post op and my doctor told me Thursday that I can pretty much do any exercise except situps and heavy lifting. I am still having a problem getting the fluids down that is needed. He said I must drink 64oz. per day. I do good to get 20 oz. a day so I stay dehydrated.

New To Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Thank Ya'll so much, I needed a little encouragement. I have never been able to stand Gatoraide because of the salty taste. I love water it is just hard to get the amount I need. But if it is the swelling then I feel better about not getting the amount I need. That too will pass. -
Hello Everyone, I am new to the gastric sleeve surgery and I was wanting to talk to some people that have already had this. I am 1 week post surgery. I am so hungry sometimes but they told me I wouldn't be. I am on the 3-15 day diet so there isn't much I can have.I can't seem to get the 64 oz. of Water that is required daily. I can barely get 20 oz. I think I am staying dehydrated so it makes my heart race which in turn makes me feel lousy. When does this go away or does it go away. I am 57 years old so I am older than the normal age to have this surgery. I had a heart attack in March 2009, pulmonary embolisim in Jan.2010 and had a bad car wreck May 2010. It seems I am suppose to be here so I decided to get healthy. I don't need any more hints. I am 5" 240Lbs. with a BMI of 47. I had to do something or die. My goal is to lose 100 lbs.
