Alright Jaime help me with my math! Adding in gypj and Corgi put us at 190 pounds lost since being banded in March! All we need is one more March bandster to report and we will be over 200 pounds. Oh Lindsay, thank you for the words of encouragement. Dont worry you will be on the loosing side in no time!

Kathy, I hope each biopsy goes smoothly and you have a clean bill of health! You will be in our thoughts and prayers throughout this process!

Kathy, I have had 3 different biopsies and the worst one was the needle core biopsy where you lie on the table on your stomach. I refuse to have another one of those done ever again. My breast hurt for months after the procedure. The regular biopsies where they stick the needle in first and then go and biopsy was not nearly as bad. Are they performing two diffent types of biopsies on each breast?

I know exactly where Ellisville is? My grandmother lives in Glade but has an Ellisville zip code. Do you know any McBride's they are a large group?

Rhonda has lost 23 pounds and Vinesqueen has lost 25 making the March bandsters weight loss up to 148 pounds. Guys lets give our self a pat on the back cause we are all doing great!

Ok, Jaime and Amy K do yall realize that since being banded our cumalative weight loss is 100 pounds! 40 +35+28 = 100pounds! All right all you other March Bandsters lets her it from you so we can keep a running total of weight loss ! :banana

Christina, Did your doctor give you one of the little cards with the band serial number? My sleeve contains two cards one with Medical information that states"This person has an adjustable Gastric band to assist in weight loss. Cautions should be taken when prescribing potentially ulcerogenic medications or performing any abdominal procedure" IMHO if the Ionamed does not recomend using ulcerogenic medications than I am not going to let anyone tell me otherwise because if an erosion does occur then you have essentially "voided the warranty".

Considering how serious the situation could have been you are really sitting pretty! And I know you are proud of the weight loss despite not having any fill. I am sure you will be at your goal in no time!

Ok what is your current fill level! I can tell you I did not feel restriction until I got above 6.5 cc but I have the Vangard band. Maybe it is time for a fill and a fresh start! Everytime I get a fill I feel like I am getting a fresh start. In order for the band to work properly it must provide you enough restriction. I have found that the band prohibits me from eating the wrong foods more that it does the amount of food I eat!

I was instructed not to eat for 3 - 4 hours prior to an adjustment because it would affect my level of restriction. Now I don't know how or why. BUT if you can eat all that food in less than 5 minutes something is defineatly up! What size is your band and how much fill do you have in it? I might consider going to someone for a fill that does it without flouro. When I get my fill the NP putes in the saline and takes the saline out based on how much water I can drink. Just throwing some ideas your way! But I really want to praise you for quitting smoking! I do not smoke but my mom did practically up until the day she died. She told me quitting smoking is the absolute hardest thing someone could do- but she never had a weight problem. So I think you are doing fantastic! Loosing weight and quitting smoking- you are unstoppable.

Kathy, Good luck on the shopping spree and the mammogram! By the wat I am wering a silk tank with a sheer overshirt- like everyone else!

I am still blown away by Lisa's water story! I am going to try that if I ever have another panic attack! How weird is that about the psychic telling you the same thing!

I would say not drinking during and immediatly after meals has been my hardest challenge. I try to wait at least 45 minutes after eating to drink. I should be waiting more than an hour but I am working on that! It seems like the only time I get thirsty is when I am eating and that is not when I am supposed to be drinking.

Ok Alex I still don't believe you are 43! You look fantastic in fact I think you look younger than you did in your "before pix". I think that a 120 pound weight loss is such an accomplishment and you could be the poster child for Lap Band success stories!

I had a very easy recovery with very little pain. I feel like this surgery was the best decision I have ever made. I did have my doubts during my first two or three weeks but the surgery has been such a great success so far for me. I can honestly say that I feel this surgery has enabled me to make much better food choices I can no longer eat the same foods that made me fat.

Welcome Gaynor and Congrats on that 47 pound weight loss! I think that 47 pounds is a great weight loss!

I am a Mississippi Bandster banded in Europe- how weird is that! I am going to start using Dr. Madan in Memphis for follow up. I live in Southaven also. Magnolia Miss where do you live? MSFlygirl, you will not be regretting this when you start loosing that weight! I was banded in March and have lost 40 pounds.

CONGRATS! I think a slow and steady loss is great! I am moving at about the same pace as you and I so far have no sagging skin yet but have lost nearly 40 pounds.
