I'm just a person who had enough of being miserable and continuing my bad habits. I learned about this surgery and took the plunge first thing in 2012. I could not be happier with my results, my life or my decision to undergo vgs surgery. It absolutely was the tool to change my life for good.
I learned how to eat properly and let go of compulsive eating. I found healthier ways to cope with rough days. I realized this was my choice and was going to require dedication to dig myself out mentally and physically.
I learned to tune out others negativity and give a hand to the next person who truly wants out of the misery of obesity. It's a struggle, but it's possible to dig out of the mess and live a happy life not focused on food or body image. Today life is good.
