I felt a little like that for the first month.

Hot liquids were much easier for me at that point. It was eat for me to drink once the swelling went down a week it so out I couldn't tell the difference from pre surgery, but my surgeon doesn't use a bougie so maybe that matters.

It will pass, I agree it's the hormones from losing so fast. It gets easier when things feel more normal. Best wishes!

I mix mine with water. They are filling and heavy and even more so after surgery. I couldn't tolerate milk at all post surgery. Sometimes if I'm low on calories I mix it with almond milk. That flavor sounds great. I add the PB2 to mine and love it.

Thank you. My surgeon allows flintstones. I got sick of the flavor and switched to gummy ones. Hope you find something that works. -

Waiting was the hardest part. Wishing you the best on your journey!

I told close family and a few friends. In the end I wish I told fewer people. I just feel like everybody is waiting and watching every pound and for me it's a slow process. I don't need the extra pressure.

Yes, thanks it's an old one. I hate having my picture taken.

I was the same way prior to surgery. I ruud read on here every night and morning. I found it hard to think about anything else. Thankfully at three months out things are much better. It's all consuming and a huge change and you want to be sure you are ready. It will get better. Best wishes!

Activity After Sleeving?
Swimmer replied to uwishtoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't see why you would have an issue. I've seen people back to riding horses within a month. I was swimming at two weeks out very hard too. I did wait until six weeks to golf because it wasn't comfortable and I worried about hurting my sleeve. Good luck to you! -

I wear mine all the time except to sleep as well. Not sure if it helps, but I like them. I started wearing mine about a week out too. -
Why Did You Choose The Sleeve Over The Others?
Swimmer replied to Amie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have heard too many horror stories with the band. Plus I didn't want something foreign in me ort have to deal with the maintence. I didn't want dumping syndrome or dealing with rerouted intestines. I am so thrilled with my choice. -

When Can I Go Swimming? Almost 4 Weeks Post Op
Swimmer replied to HadToDoIt40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As soon as your incisions are closed. My doctor released me and I started back in the water at two weeks which I think was too soon and I had a small infection. I would think at four to six weeks you should be good. -
Anyone Have This Sensation Post Op?
Swimmer replied to kellyring's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have experienced both and this seemed to be the first thing to get better. I could drink normally fairly soon after surgery. I still sometimes get that fizzy thing at three months out. Not as often though.
