    How long did it take?

    2-3 weeks. Good Luck.
  2. I was the same way. I'm a year out and I promise it will get so much better. Retried beans worked well for me. Good luck.
  3. I think the cup size is actually the difference in the measurement around the smaller band and the measurement around the fullest part so a 44D would not look the same as a 34D. There are bra calculators out there and you do your measurements and I also noticed if you measure like 32 you are a 34 that seemed odd to me.
  4. I felt word for word how you felt a little over a year ago. Today I slipped on a pair of size 4 jeans. I can't believe how wonderful this sleeve process can be. I'm so happy for you and wish you and everybody else the same peace I finally feel.

    No Bladder Feeling

I still never feel like I have to go and I'm a year out. I wonder if with the stomach moved if there is less pressure.
  10. I'm a year out and I eat 2 oz of solid protein and a couple of bites of green beans. I can eat 1/4 of a burger no bun. Things like soup is a different story I can easily eat a cup. I cannot tolerate bread, buns, pasta or rice which is ok with me.

    Will I be normal?

At a year out and a size four I can tell you that you will be perfectly normal and happier than ever. I admit the first three months were not so great, but really it's a small price to pay for an amazing future. By 6-8 months I barely remembered the rough part. Now everything feels very normal only I don't crave or want anything. I don't eat much, but I'm very used to it and think in general portions are crazy huge. Best wishes, hang in there. Not only does it get better it gets amazing.
  12. At a year out I feel I can eat like a normal thin person if I wanted. I seem to have much more restriction than many I know at a similar point. If it's Soup, yogurt or soft food like that I can eat a single serving now. I still can only eat 2 oz of meat or solid Protein. I can now eat almost an entire Protein Bar those most can eat it all at this point. I can't have bread, Pasta or tortillas without feeling super uncomfortable. I don't eat it often but I can eat half a piece of pizza. It just makes me sick so I don't. I can easily eat a small piece of fruit or a string cheese for a snack. It just feels normal. I eat slow and it's a much better life.

    no weight loss this week

Very normal. I hit goal by a year and had many very long frustrating stalls. I freaked each and every time for nothing. I had two six week stalls, but lost inches during this time. You'll get there. Relax and enjoy your new life.
  14. I had mine a year ago at 39. Best thing I ever did. You won't regret it and will be blown away in a year. It's rough at first and requires changing your thinking, but if you are truly motivated it will be great. Here's to healthier forties!!!
  15. I have had a quick and fairly painless route to goal. I'm a year out and if I decide to drink too soon after eating I feel like crap. I miss drinking ice tea with my meals. Small price to pay but didnt realize how much I'd miss it. I also don't like to talk about surgery and people ask how I lost and I tell them much smaller portions and swimming. Then they say oh you did it the hard way and my response is usually I don't know any easy way of losing almost 100#.

    How long until "real" food?

I can tolerate most things, but find my tastes have totally changed. Bread, pasta and anything fried make me feel awful. I steer far away, but I don't feel deprived. I love my new life and self so much it doesn't matter. I will say I wasn't really a food addict before like some. I think they struggle more than I did. I'm a year out and under goal. It's an amazing journey. Best wishes.
  17. I'm a bit over a year out. I was at goal by ten months and am now 12 pounds under. I feel 100% normal. I barely remember those first few hard months. A size 4 now and I never, ever thought that was possible my goal was ten or maybe, maybe an 8. I regret telling too many people because I feel so normal and don't want to talk about any more. I promise though it stinks now you will have no regrets soon enough. Best wishes.
  18. I'm exactly one year out started at 234 and I'm 5'6. I am currently 145 and wear some 4s but mostly 6s. My initial goal was 150 but it is now 135 as I don't have a large frame. Good luck to you.

    Blood in stool anyone?

I agree being bright red it's probably a fissure or hemorrhoids. Good luck.

    biggest regret

My only regret is telling some people. I wish I had only told my husband. Other than that I'm a year out and four pounds under my goal and 11 under my dr's. greatest thing I ever did for myself. It's been much easier than I expected.

    8 pound post-op

    That's great!
  22. Yep I was up 8 pounds after surgery because of fluids. It will come off.
