  1. I didn't use much at all. Chapstick, gas x and my phone. I wore home the same thing I did there. I brought a hat too because I hate my hair a mess. I stayed in the gown and was glad I did because an stitch popped and bled everywhere. Loose pants and a sports bra were comfortable. Best wishes.

    Ugh! Back To The Doctor.

I was going to say the same thing as Katie, feel better and praying it is minor.
  3. Great news. Feel better soon.

    By Myself For Recovery

You'll be fine. I found it a little uncomfortable driving and getting in and out of the car. But I was doing everything with the kids on my own by four days out even going to the barn and helping with the horse a bit and walking a lot. I was surprised. But I'd go to bed very early that first week.

    5 Day Post Op Journal

Hang in there I'm three weeks out too and would never know I had surgery except I'm never hungry and can eat very little. I can even drink normally except water, weird. I don't have a bougie though and no drain. Feel better soon! You'll be here soon.

    One Day Til My Sleeve!

You'll do great! I agree with everybody above the first week is tough, but I was never hungry. By the end of the second week I was feeling 100% and back to the gym like nothing happened. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Best wishes!

    Swimming...

    I swim in a 25 yard pool it's about 35 laps or 70 lengths. When I competed we did a 1650. So I count a mile every 35 laps.
  10. I'm 39 and struggled most of my life even though I'm active. I had the sleeve on the 25th and am about three weeks out now and feel amazing, swimming and walking every day. Best decision I have ever made. I had a dream recovery minimal pain and no nausea. I'm so excited to get off the sidelines of my own life. Best wishes.
  11. Welcome! I'm in the Cary area and am three weeks post op. I feel like I never had anything done already. Best wishes!

    Golf

Anybody know when we might have clearance to golf again? I'm three weeks post op and couldn't imagine now.
  13. Ok I'm just one day post three weeks post op (1/25} and at two weeks was given the clearance to work out and swim, just no weight lifting yet. I swam at least ten miles since Monday and walked more. Now I'm in pain and gained 4 pounds. I rarely eat even 400 calories so it can't be fat can it? I'm up 4 to flat for over a week. I literally cried yesterday. So frustrated and sad.

Ready To Toss The Scale Out The Window...

He briefly looked at the incisions at week two and said fine to swim. I'm really thinking it was too soon. I used to do a mile well under 19 minutes but these days it's more like 30. I've been swimming 60/70 minutes straight no beaks. Plus I walk my dog a lot. I have an appt in the am but I'm pretty sure if I go he'll say it's fine and I'll have wasted my time. I'll decide in the am.

    One Extreme To Another

I don't have help, but I'm having the same issue. I'm off my bp meds and feel strange every time I stand up. Mine is very low now and has been since right after surgery.
  16. I started swimming a couple miles a day around two weeks out and was walking about three miles a day from a couple days out. But I worked out before surgery too.

On the home tab there is a tab marked nutrition that gives the break down.

    Golf

I should never try now it seems like the worst motion. But I can't wait to get back out there. I'm hoping maybe by eight weeks. Up until yesterday I had no pain and never would have even realized I had surgery. I really have been blessed with an easy path. Now to break this stall and get this going in the right direction.

Ready To Toss The Scale Out The Window...

Thanks for the kind words. I'm down well about ten post surgery and you are right because that should have been very hard before. I actually lost through my tom then stalled and gained after. I know it's not a magic pill and don't expect miracles. I was just hoping working out would break my stall not add weight. And you are right I feel so blessed to have my new tool. I'm in pain today after having a dream survey and recovery so far. I need to be thankful for those things. Thanks for the reality check I needed it. I've had a very positive attitude until yesterday. Just frustrated. Thanks again I love this board!
  20. Congrats and feel better.

I'm swimmy18 enjoying seeing how wonderful everybody is doing. I'm in a stall and this helps me stay motivated.
  22. I would certainly be filling out that survey. Maybe it was a blessing I couldn't have it Rex. I was nervous because mine was at a very small hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
