What Did You Wish You Knew Before Surgery
Swimmer replied to Almostthere34's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I hadn't been so excited to tell people. Now I feel the pressure when the process slows to a halt for weeks as happens to me. Now that I'm through the toughest part I realize I should have kept it to myself. It's a slow emotional process. I now have a very different relationship with food. That was my main goal, but it doesn't happen overnight. I also didn't realize how sensitive I would become about watching people eating huge portions. It literally makes me a little sick to see portions at restaurants. It's a great journey and I have been enjoying the process. -

I was given these shots in the hospital the entire time I was there, and they give them in the stomach but it isn't that bad. I have never given myself shots. -

Writing A Report For School ... Opinions Please
Swimmer replied to Lauranbob Mc's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Whether or not it's more beneficial for insurance companies to cover surgery proactively rather than dealing with the costs of obesity related complications. It seems like common sense, but not all insurance believe the same thing. Or where to start coverage, would it be more beneficial to cover starting at a lower BMI? Goods luck -
Can You Drink Milk Post-Op?
Swimmer replied to NJsharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Waving hi Sharon! I can't because I was a little lactose intolerant before and now well yeah I don't go there. I would stick to Water just because of the calories unless you just can't stand it and then you do what you have to do to get your Protein in. I prefer the RTD ones just less hassle. Swimmy -

Mine rose a but too, but because I went off BP meds that were causing it to go too low. That's not something I've heard happen before. Best wishes. -
