  1. I am writing this for someone who is considering Lap Band and is doing her research. She has had some problems accessing the site after I referred her so I am asking this question for her. She is going to had the procedure done by Dr. Joya in PV Mexico so she needs somebody who is OK :-) If you know someone please give me location and cost if you know it. :help: Thanks!! -Jann
  2. It's pretty easy to call that Lakisha is going down next. She is good but not against those who are left but who do you all think will WIN at this point. Pick ONE not two. That's too easy. Even though Melinda is the best singer I think BLAKE will take it.
  3. Hi gang, I didn't say Jordan should win because her father was famous. I said he could buy her a career 'cause he is rich. He is Phillipi Sparks who played for the NY Giants and the Dallas Cowboys for 9 years. I think she could win on her own merits easily. She has already recorded an album and has a career as a plus sized model. That is why she is so "put together" and confident. She would have made it without American Idol. Melinda and Blake are also very accomplished professionals. Blake's group also recorded an album before he left and went on his own but he needed Idol to "hit the big time". Lakisha is the real underachiever (read no self confidence) here. Her mother was a teacher, she was home schooled and attended college majoring in music. She never followed through and just sang in gospel choirs. No offence to bank tellers but she could be a pro singer. Even Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson were college music majors. There are no amateurs who make it to this level of American Idol these days. I don't think a waitress will ever win again. -Jann
  4. Thanks for the quick response Gayle. Do you have any idea if he has any problem with taking on patients who had their bands done in Mexico? I can always tell her to check it out herself but she may be a little shy at this point. -Jann P.S. Great quote.
  5. Hello Texas, I am communicating with a future bandster from Texas who is doing her research and having problems accessing this wonderful LapBandTalk site. She lives in Raton, Texas and is looking for a fill Doctor so I told her I would try to help by asking if there is anyone out there with a good resource. Can anyone help?:help: Thanks from Cleveland, Ohio -Jann
  6. It's too bad Lakeisha didn't get banded at the beginning of the show. Talk about a dramatic makeover! She has the best background story but her weight is costing her votes and we all know about that kind of descrimination. Jordin is awesome but her famous father can buy her a career. Although Melinda is the best she already was a professional. I don't think pros should be allowed to compete. Blake is also unique and may make it all the way beause he completely restyles all the songs he does. Next to go should be Phil but it might be Chris although I think he is really talented. He is a little one dimensional but fits the "idol" title better than Phil. I also agree that inspirational is soooo wrong. Didn't they just do that for "Idol Gives Back". Jazz or Blues would be a nice change. -Jann

    Breasts (women only)

Hi All, I am going to have Lap Band Surgery soon and know I will be needing a breast lift/reduction. I was under the impression the port is placed right under the breast. Is this true and if so doesn't this interfere with a breast reduction? Thanks -Jann
