Hmmm...I wonder if anyone has tried the Emerald forest xylitol brand? I heard that some bakers even use it for people who can't have real suger.

Ok, it been a year and I lost 107 pounds which I am now 147 pounds. I been wondering if anyone has tried real sweets that not sugar free? I know that everyone is different but I have been really wondering about it. In my note book (which I was given before the day for my VS) It said, In low sugar that your allowed to have is 3 - 4 gms of sugar, no sugar added, or sugar free. I always do a check to see how many gms of sugar it has, and most of the time it's very high in sugar which I have to go 'Ah, guess that means that I can't have that' which search thought everything, trying to find something that low in sugar or no sugar added. Now, there are somethings that do I miss. Specially, asian bakery which is one of the parts that I like to go to in the asian stores, and is one of my favorite places that I like to go, (H-mart or other good asian stores)

Thank you. I can eat almost anything. Just not spicy foods and yogurt that is high in sugar. I still wonder if it ok to have real sugar? The only sweetener that made me feel sick is sweet and low. That was the only kind that my body didn't agree with. Other sweeteners that I had for coffee and tea are splenda and trunva. They both work fine for me, but another sweetener that I thinking about trying is Emerald forest xylitol. There some at amazon website, and is a good 5 pound bag. I'll maybe give it a try for baking a cake and see how that turns out. A lot of people had mention not to get brand from china and make sure that you had it ordered that made in the U.S. only.

Thanks you everyone for your answers. I really feel a lot better after reading your post. I'm planning on making an appointment to see my doctor and make sure that everything is fine before I move back to washington state. My uncle is going to help me with college. I live in Iowa for a good two years now, but I wasn't happy in hearing the news that 'we might move back to washington' when my mother mention it. We had a long talk about it and when I asked her 'why were we moving back to washington', she explain to me. I was pretty upset and didn't want to move back, but I tried not to make my mom feel like a bad guy. After cooling myself off, getting rid of my anger, and stress. I realized that maybe we were met to go back, and maybe it was met to happen for a reasons. -

Thanks you everyone for your answers. I feel a lot better of seeing all your guys posts. Junior Guru, the person was jealous. I think it's someone I knew back in middle school or high school. I really don't know her name and didn't like her that much. She heard about me having the sleeve. I guess she just wanted to mess with me for fun. My brother didn't like that one bit, and gotten anger. He pretty said some words to her, which put her in her place. I'm just glad that my brother shut up cause I was about to lose it. I was this close to kicking her ass, but my brother stepped in just in the nick of time. I am planning on changing, and I'm looking for some recipes for healthy dishes to make when I get back home. I spending the holidays with my father and his wife. I know there going to be a lot of food for Christmas dinner. Anyway, My father is happy for my weight loss and that all that counts. Including, my other family members that are happy for me too. -
How Can You Stretch Your Gastric Sleeve?
Katrina Huxley posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been wondering about it for a while now and wanted to know of how can you stretch your sleeve? I'm asking cause someone scared. I had some fried foods which I know it's bad, but I didn't eat a lot of it or having been throwing up. Plus, there nothing wrong with me, and I feel fine, but thanks to that person I can't get it out of my mind. Can someone help? -
I hadn't tried this recipe yet. I stumble upon this on foodnetwork and find this chef named Ellie Krieger. Though, I don't know very much about her, but her recipes are healthy cooking. I might give this a try at my dad place when I go up to Washington state during the holidays. I can't have mayonnaise or other stuff cause all the brands in store have corn syrup and sugar. It just taste awful and too sweet. I can understand why people make there own mayonnaise and ketup. I hope you guys like sea food. Specially, lobsters. Ingredients 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek-style yogurt or 2/3 cup regular, plain nonfat yogurt 3 tablespoons juice 1 pound cooked meat or cooked Protein 29 g; Carb 25 g; Fiber 3 g; Cholesterol 85 mg; Sodium 720 mg Excellent source of: Protein, Niacin, Vitamin B12, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Selenium, Zinc Good source of: Fiber, Vitamin B6, Calcium, Iron, Potassium

Katrina Huxley replied to Katrina Huxley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on July and I should be fine. If I start to feel anything wrong then I'll stop taking it and get the liquid Maalox at the drug store. -

Thanks for the help. I think I'll get that at the store before I leave to Washington state to visit my dad. Also, I decide to do some searching for home natural remedies for acid reflux. I found one and they one of them mention apple cider vinger (1 tsp. and 1/2 cup of water) and have 3 tsp. of honey for throughout the day. It says that the honey helps contains natural compound that can heal all types of tissue. I might give that a try and see if that helps. -
