I agree with Nancy. You have had MAJOR surgery. Don't worry. Go at your own pace and follow dr orders. You'll be just fine.

Michigan - cloudy, threatened rain all day but didn't, about 63 degrees. How in the world are you going to get in all that protein from food....I wonder what they'll tell me tomorrow.

You girls are doing great! I did good with protein and fluids the first week (sleeved 4/23), but this second week has been a different story...I was still getting in my protein but fluids were a little rough... Puree phase starts tomorrow. will talk to NUT in the morning for instructions. Also was going to go back to work tomorrow, but taking more time because I have gotten soooo tired. Tomorrow's a new day

Ok, the darn chest worry is over. You are young and strong. You will not have complications. You will do just fine and begin a wonderful new life. Go for it!! Say your prayers and get through this preop diet. Mine was a horror, but I did it and you can too. You will feel proud and have a sense of accomplishment when it's over. Good luck to you and God bless.

Well tomorrow I start puree phase for 2 wks. NUT should be calling me tomorrow to give instructions. I've been having a hard time with getting all fluids in. Yesterday it was all I could do to get in my 3 Protein Drinks to get my Protein and lots of Water. Anything else I tried foodwise in the last few days seems like 1 teaspoon is my limit right now which seems like a ridiculous waste of time really. And I feel like I'm getting weak and even though I'm not hungry, I think my body should be starving. We'll see what NUT says tomorrow. I was going to go back to work today but called surgeon's office, and they said no problem, you can have a month off. So I'm taking it. I don't think I can sit at the computer for hours on end yet. Today I had a little bit (2 ounces) of tomato soup, and it seemed to feel okay in ms. sleevie. I have one more protein drink to get in and 30 ounces of Fluid to meet the quota. Gettin' so old. All I think about is protein and fluid ounces.........

I reported the problem first 3 days ago, and I believe it was late 2 days ago or at least yesterday early that the like button worked again. I do not see ny icon next to address bar to check for compatibility. Is there another way to check that for future reference? Thanks

Sounds like a nightmare!! I'm glad you made it back home and that you have another week. I'm 13 days postop and I've been getting that dizzy feeling and sometimes nausea which just started in the last couple days. I think you should get some extra rest now and push those fluids!! Hang in there.

Can you post your crepe recipe? I'd love to have it.

Can't Get My Damn Protein Shakes In....help
Joni replied to kmbrlycool's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some ideas to try - unjury vanilla with orange crystal light - goes down fairly smooth. the Protein shots are small, so even though they aren't great, they are 2.5 ounces, just a small amount for 26 gm of protein. I also heard A LOT of people like Premier Protein powder or RTD sold at costco and sam's. Good luck. You gotta get your protein in. Oh, and nectar Syntrax comes in a lot of flavors too. Some fruity. -
leesakake - I was sleeved on 4/23 and had been wondering the same thing. If you go to Youtube and do a search for gastric sleeve diets - you will see a lot of videos from different people giving examples of what they can eat in a day at a few months or a few years out. Hope that helps.

Funny thing arj, I was looking at some older posts and saw your picture; remembered about the bleeding and was wondering how you were doing!! I'm 12 days postop and doing good. I have been really tired the past couple days so that's kinda been a drag; but otherwise, doing well and no regrets!! How are you?

Thanks so much! I went to the website and took a look too. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm determined to make myself like it because of the high protein count!

Absolutely! I truly believe it's never too late to go for our dreams - you'll have accomplished your weight loss dream and teaching Spanish. I think that's fantastic! Hats off to you! -
notime - I tried the fage tonight. I took 1/4 cup, added a little splenda and vanilla extract. It was still too sour for me so I added a little honey, and was able to somewhat like it. What is your fav way to eat it? Sheila - I think it's going to be sorta try it and learn what works for awhile. I took a little bit of my husband's cheeseburger meat and chewed the hell out of it. It was sooo good and I had no problem with it. I also tried one bite of scrambled egg with cheese today that tasted great.

I hope yecats' words were a comfort to you because they really rang true. All these things going on in your life are not to be minimized in their importance to you, but you have to keep focused in what your ultimate goal is, especially now with surgery around the corner. Lean on those close to you if you can, or even the people here. We will support you every inch of the way. Hugs.

What To Do With All The New-Found Free Time?
Joni replied to runaroundsue's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ditto - hang out here and gonna start a gym membership! -
My husband has belonged to our local health club for some time but not me. My excuse was always, it's too expensive, we can't afford it, I can't make time, yadda yadda.....well I called them and it would be $46 more a month for me to join. They do have a $100 enrollment fee which they will run a special on and waive that starting May 30. Guess what I'm gonna do? Time to get off my butt. All that time I used to spend laying on the couch thinking about what I was gonna do and when is gonna get spent in the health club so I can get healthy and fit. I said when I started this journey, it's time for a new life and big changes. Oh and I am one lazy person!! Wish me motivation!!
