I made this one, out was delicious! I added some canned diced tomatoes. Next time, I'm going to add mushrooms. Baked up, then sliced into eight wedges and froze them. Reheated on the microwave for a great meal. Crustless Spinach Quiche 1 TB Olive Oil 1/2 onion 1 package frozen spinach 5 eggs beaten 3 cups muenster cheese shredded Salt & Pepper to taste Sautee onions in oil until tender, add spinach to pull out some of the moisture. Beat eggs in bowl, add cheese, salt and pepper. Then add spinach onion mixture. Pour into pie pan. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes until browned. Yummmm!

Kristin replied to Lisa821's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

4 Weeks Post-Op... What Can You Normally Eat?
Kristin replied to NJsharon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with the others...go out and enjoy your visit. I went out three weeks after surgery to Chili's and got a cup of soup. Ate only half of it. Or if they have a turkey sandwich, just pick out the meat and cheese. Our even order without the bread so you don't have the temptation. -
I had terrible gas pains in my shoulders that lasted about two weeks. I walked all the time, and it finally went away. Hang in there!
-
Sounds good! I'm going to make some tonight!

Does anyone else seem to stall for a few days before your monthly period?? I'm noticing a trend, and I'm just wondering if this is normal.
-
I wear a pedometer and set a goal for myself of at least 10000 steps a day. Keeps me motivated to get all my steps in!
-
Sounds great! Thank you!

I have been mainly walking for all my exercise. I am 5 months post op. Yesterday I took my first Zumba class, and I did it!!! 6 months ago I never would have imagined to get through that class. I feel so great I just needed to share! I might go back for another class this morning!

I have Netfix....didn't realize they has workout videos. I need to check that out! Thanks!

Lissa, I agree. It's getting easier to make myself workout, but I still struggle with excuses some days. It's just part of the process of getting healthier and forming better habits than before. I wait for the day when I just automatically come home from work and get ready for the gym instead of thinking to myself "I better go today"....lol

I took another class this morning. I little sore, but this is definetly a NSV for me. :-)

Kristin replied to Almostthere34's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I took off a little over two weeks. Surgery was on a Monday and my my post op appointment was two weeks after on a Tuesday. I went back to work on Wednesday. I if I have a desk job so I think that makes a difference, but I felt fine and my coworkers knew I had surgery and were very supportive!

Good luck you all! Pre-op diet is tough, but keep your eyes on the prize. Before long you'll be listing weight and feeling great!!!! Congrats!

Nectar chocolate truffle is my favorite. If you are looking for bottled shakes, the EAS are pretty good. You can buy them at Walmart. I'd say the Nectar is the best one I've bought. It mixes really well with water or milk, not grainy our sandy at all. Plus they are only 100 calories with no carbs or sugar.

You will very used to taking small sips. Unfortunately for me, if I take too big of a sip or sip too soon after eating, I get the dreaded "slimes". Before my surgery, I chugged water like you won't believe, and it was definetly a concern of mine too. Don't worry you'll get enough water in, it is just a change in habit. Sip sip sip all day! Good Luck!

Hello there! I am 31 yrs old, and have a six year old son. He is great and helps me out! It's funny, on Easter, I asked him if I could have a little taste of his Cadbury egg and he said "NO! Too many carbs!" It's amazing how much they understand. Good luck with your journey, and keep in touch!

I am 31 years old and my starting weight was 250. I am absolutely 100% glad I had this surgery! It is a life changer and I wish I wouldn't have waited. I also tried to lose several times, trying different things. I have little time for exercise but more that I've lost 80lbs, I look forward to squeezing in time at the gym. I can't believe the quantity of food I are before and have learned a lot! This is a great place to ask questions, and always have support from people! Good luck! You are making the right decision! Learn all you beforehand and you won't have any problems! Congratulations on your job promotion too!

Thank you all! I'm glad not to be the only one! This drives me crazy! Part of being a woman I guess. This is the first time since my surgery that I actually gained a couple pounds. My period has come and I'm back down three pounds! phew!
