Prior to my surgery I lost 8 lbs. Since my 20 Oct surgery, I have lost 15 pounds. My surgeon has me on a step approach of 2 weeks of a thin liquid diet no more than 450 cals a day. The next 2 weeks are soft foods no more than 600 cals a day. When I enter my regular food phase it will be no more than 800-1000 cals a day.
Please do not get discouraged! Use Fitday or another weight loss/food tracker and log everything! I do this and it really keeps me in the know of how many carbs, fats, cals, and protein I have taken in for the day.
Incorporating exercise into your daily routine will make a hude difference. Start walking regularly and build your endurance.
Eat three square meals a day (no more than 3 oz). If you are eating when you are hungry throughout the day, even if it is healthy food, it may inadvertantly be sabotaging your diet plan.
I wish you good luck on your future journey! Something will break for you soon. What advice is your surgeon providing you?
