Body Dysmorphia In Reverse
Finding MeMe replied to Christine1322's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I feel the same even when working out everyday and hanging in with the class of skinny girls I thought I was good and in shape, just a little fluffy. Well my picture that someone from the gym took of me finally made me face the truth. I was fat not simply fluffy so I got my sleeve and there is no turning back. I am not nothing short of fabulous now. -
Would Love To Hear From All Of The Sleevers On What Worked For Them To Help Lose Weight Faster : )
Finding MeMe commented on baseballmom02's blog entry in baseballmom02's Blog
For me it's exercise. The more I exercise the faster I lose so I try to work out at least 5 days per week for an hour. -
I am right here feeling the same way. Currently as I type this, I am eating my breakfast of two eggs and cheese to get my nutrients in. I don't feel like eating but know I have to or I will lose my last 20 lbs too fast. I now eat to live not live to eat which is a good thing.

But I Do Wanna Be A Size 6
Finding MeMe replied to Texarkolina's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey BETSY, nothing wrong with your dreams/goals and with this surgery "short term goals". I am just about at a size 6 and seeing bones. Posted a pic on fb and a friend called me "skinny". At first the goal was for me to get to a healthy size maybe a 9/10 again. I looked great at 9 but want to get down to 24% BMI so I have around 20 more lbs to go. I don't know about a 4 yet but it depends on how I look and feel at really skinny. I could now wear those revealing clothes/super hot clothes here in Vegas (currently on vacation) but I am too modest and can' only show all my goods to my hubby. I do wear cute shoulder revealing dresses/tops and shorts however. Good luck to you. -
Ready To Get This Surgery!
Finding MeMe replied to cjloveydovey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Issues such as full feeling in the chest and throat until the food goes down and if I get really greedy and eat too much at once it will come back up. I now have to eat very slowly which is hard to get used to especially when eating out with friends and such. I don't regret it but it takes some getting used to. -
Ready To Get This Surgery!
Finding MeMe replied to cjloveydovey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good for you to seek an alternitive, I tell you this is a life long battle. I got the sleeve which was the only option for me. I thought about the bypass but didn't want the absorbtion issues. I can eat all foods only in small amounts. If I get greedy and eat too much or too fast then I will have issues. Good luck to you. -

Will I Ever Enjoy Eating Again?
Finding MeMe replied to ShouldBlittler's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It depends on the density of the food. At 6 months I eat to live not live to eat. I know what my tummy likes which is everything in sometimes small amounts and that is how it likes it. If I am too greedy, it will let me know. Good luck to you. -
What Have I Done To Myself?
Finding MeMe replied to aldmb2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like my first post after surgery, it will get better I promise. Keep in mind that your body just went through some major trauma and 80% of your tummy is gone. Give your body time to heal and continue to sip your fluids. The pain decreases daily and you should feel 100% in around two or 3 weeks. Good luck to you, when you lose the wt you will feel like this. :D and you won't be feeling like this  :o for long. -
Yes it's normal those muscles are sore from your intense workout. The next time it won't hurt as bad, it may last a week or so. When I get back to lifting heavy I always feel that pain.

I always split my hubby's meal which is usually HUGE so I am now a very cheap dinner date. Or if going out will friends we will order a platter where everyone serves themselves. This works out good because then, they won't notice how little I eat. I participate more in conversation now instead of shoveling food in my mouth.

Why Won't My Brain Let Me See The Loss?
Finding MeMe replied to Dooter's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I feel the same way, I see the loss in pictures but when I look at my reflection its the same fat me looking back. I hope my brain and eyes agree one day.. -
I do a little of all types exercises for variety and I vary the intensity. I do Zumba, step-aerobics, boot camp type class, body pump, spin, hiking, hill training (walk/run up and down the hill), and I will do the threadmill or eliptical, if a class isn't available at my gym. If on the threadmill, I will try to run and walk at different speeds and increase/decrease the incline.

My Face Has A Shape!
Finding MeMe replied to chitowngirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
:D All smiles here, I didn't know I had a neck either or shoulder bones or a waist. Congrats and happy losing. -
I try to workout at least 60 min per day. I may take a spin class, or step aerobics class or zumba class or take an urban hike with my husband. In addition, I may run on the thread mill for 30 min and free wts for 30 min. To really burn calories I find that I have to work out at an intense level for at least 4 days per week. Of course like all others said take it easy at first and build up gradually.
