    Dropping The Dairy In Desperation!

    Yes I agree, stay away from all diary for awhile, it sounds like you are extremely allergic to it. You can try lactose free milk which has helped me a lot, I also drink carnation milk powered which dosen't seem to bother me. However stay away from all milk, cheese products and see how you feel after a few days then slowly introduce maybe a small piece of cheese to see if you can consume it with no issues.     Excercise

    Around 8 weeks for me is when I restarted my spin classes, step aerobics and running. I didn't lift heavy weights (bench press) until I was 3 months out.

    Beans

    Beans are my favorite foods I started eating them two weeks after. Today, I eat them at least 3x per week, I make chili with 4 types of beans, stewed beans (new orleans style) with either red beans or black beans. I make my own refried beans with kidney beans and also scramble an egg and put some chili beans on top for extra protien. Since I am gluten free I don't know what I would do without my beans.

    Weight Gain After Exercising

    I agree with Jafter, keep up the exercise and you will eventually keep losing. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat, continue to monitor your weight and try to weigh yourself like once a week. I found that my wt fluctuates if I weigh myself daily or twice a day.

    I'm with foxbins nutritioally, cup of noodles is lacking in nutrition and this is the type of food we should stay away from. I'm sorry if this answer is not popular but this is one of the worst foods we can consume.

    I'm glad I didn't throw mine away. I would eye my levi's jeans ccasionally and say one day size nine you will fit over my hips again. Well after my surgery on 23 Jan 12, I am in a size 7 the 9s are almost too big. You will fit them again with the sleeve. Good luck to you.

    No way, I'm too scared, I saw some lady on Dr. Oz though and she looked great. They took the fat from her waist, hips and transferred to her butt. She wanted a butt like J-Lo so she purchased one.

    In The 3 Week Stall.. Any Tips?

    Yes, keep doing what you are doing, your body will catch up and start to lose again. It dosen't like to lose weight and is trying to hold on to that fat. You will see faster results and your stalls won't last as long if you crank up the exercise routine/intensity. Good luck to you and happy losing. Finally, stop weighing every day, put that scale away for a while and just weight yourself like once a week.
  15. I think you are on the right track and thinking about exercise for the long term. Since I notice that you are in NYC it will be difficult to just get up and walk with all the congestion and all. May I suggest for you to do sometype of excercise in your house or apartment. There are lots of fitness dvd's, some free from the library and you can watch them on youtube. You can buy a few small weights and work the arms, shoulders, legs simple squats and arm raises at first. You can then progress to dips on your chair or do wall pushups. You can do zumba or simple dance moves to work up a good sweat. What about walking in your hallway or some stairs if they are safe and available. Put on your music in the house or put on your Ipod and just do (10 or 15 minutes at first) then workout longer as you start to gain endurance. You can walk for two minutes, do some wall pushups, walk for two minutes stop and do some bicep curls, walk/dance for three minutes, do some squats with your small weights and do it again, this is a simple circuit training routine. This will maintain your muscle strength, mass and build your intensity, which will burn the fat and help you lose weight faster while keeping you toned. Good luck to you.

    You sound like you are ready for this journey. Like the other ladies said, this is a hard addiction to beat but with the surgery you can do it. Take things one day at a time and stick to your pre-op and post-diet you will be surprised and happy with your decision to finally beat it. Good luck to you.

    I've always been fond of NIKE sports bras. They give nice support without constricting you too much. They have good prices at the nike factory outlets too. I too am a size 36D and I wear a size large.

    Prevent Saggy Skin Befor Vsg

    Firming lotions don't work to prevent sagging skin, the important factor is to lift weights to tone up your muscles. Many of us lift weights or have some type of body toneing regimen before and most important after wt loss. You are young and at 280, your body will have time to adjust. It also depends on your body type because everyone is different. I was 250 to start and down to 190 and I don't have too much saggy skin. I have a little sagginess between my thighs but I don't care about it because I am more happy that the fat under my skin is gone. Good luck to you.
  22. Hello friends, I am currently taking B-12 sublingual 1,000 mcgs daily, I would like to switch to the 2,500 mcg per dose. Should I take one 2,500 vit two or three times per week or continue to take 2,500 daily. My lab results were good at 906 last week and the levels should be bet (211-946). I am thinking twice a week but wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks for your input.

    Wendy's Chili "copy Cat" Recipe

    Hey friends, I know how some of us love Wendy's chili so I want to share a good copy car recipe with you. I got the recipe from food.com and slightly modified it Ingredients - 1 onions, chopped 1 bell peppers, chopped 1 (14 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes (I like the italian style) 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce 1 (14 ounce) cans ranch style Beans 1 (14 ounce) cans pinto beans 1 (14oz) black beans 1 (14 ounce) cans kidney beans 1 (10 ounce) cans Rotel diced tomatoes 1 (1 1/4 ounce) packages McCormick mild chili seasoning-Since I'm gluten free, I used 1 tsp chili powder and 2 tsp cumen. Black pepper and salt (around 1/2 tsp each) 2 lbs ground beef (I used ground turkey and italian chicken sausage) Directions Brown the Ground beef or ground turkey/chicken. Add onions and green pepper, (drain to remove excess oil) Add all canned items, including juice, into large pot. Cook until the onion, green pepper and beans are tender not too mushy. Serve. and enjoy Freezes nicely! ****For Breakfast I scramble an egg and put my chili on top. For extra protien I also add cheese.
