Judgement About Wls
Finding MeMe replied to Almostthere34's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lesson learned, not everyone will suport you or agree with your decision. I agree that you should be selective who you tell because there are lots of haters out there. Good Luck to you. -

Tricare Retiree Beneficiary Vs. Sleeve Gastrectomy
Finding MeMe replied to samakar1516's topic in Insurance & Financing
Here on the West coast, WA/JBLM, it was an easy process. I am retired and it was done at the MTF. Since the hospital is full on post I have a civilian provider and I went to see her first. She submitted the referral to tri-care for me, I attended the classes on post and the whole process took around 9 months. Good luck and be persistant. -

Anyone Lose 100+ & Not Need Plastics
Finding MeMe replied to ThisTimeIsIt's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm at 61 gone right now and I don't see any loose skin what so ever. I am keeping my fingers crossed, like someone said it dependds on your genes and how long you have been carrying the excess weight. I work out at least 60-90 min per day and lift heavy weights as well as cycling so we'll see how it goes. -
The More I Lose, The More I Fear...
Finding MeMe replied to Donito's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You ladies, make me thankful that I have no loose skin, down to 187 from 250 and I see no sign of the loosey goosey. I do however, workout at least 60-90 min 6 days a week, lift weights and do lots of lower body exercises as well as cycling classes 3 days per week. So I am thankful, good luck to you guys. -
Once You Lose Your Butt Is It Gone Forever!?
Finding MeMe replied to beautifuldiva's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well it depends on one's age, how long they've been fat, how much fat they need to lose and your body muscle to fat ratio. There is hope however, with exercises to build up your buns. As all the fat goes away the only thing left is mucscle and skin so if the skin shrinks well to the muscle then there shouldn't be an issue. You'll still have a butt , it just won't be fat and flabby instead it will be firm and toned once you do the hard work and exercises to tone it up. -
I say hell yeah go for it, life is too short to spend it unhealthy. If I was to die tomorrow I would be a much happier and a more content and confident person. The sleeve is a tool and it helped me reach my health and fitness goals. I am much happier today than I was yesterday or last month.

The Downside Of Weight Loss..
Finding MeMe replied to bellabbr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get angry because people treat you different when you are a certain size. When I was 250 lbs I would wait all day to cross the street now at a smoking 185, size 8 with curves and looking HOT!!! the cars stop and let me cross. I am a frequent gym goer and guys now open doors and flirt. I find it insulting and find myself angry at the discrimination but what can I do. I take it in stride and enjoy the new me. -

Finding MeMe replied to Star1221's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My military doctor sounds like him and I appreciate his frankness and no nonsense leadership style. I am motivated because of him, he did his job with the surgery now it's time for me to do my part which is to work hard and keep it off. -

Weight Training Until You Lose All The Excess Weight? Please Help!
Finding MeMe replied to Anna L.'s topic in Fitness & Exercise
I think he eas talking about heavy, powertype lifting. There is nothing wrong with using light wights or even using your own bodyweight, dips, pushups, lunges, squats, etc. Good luck to you. -
I don't have celiac but I am extremely allergic to gluten. I survive on lots of beans, corn, rice, chicken and vegges. I also do a lot of juicing for my nutrients. For example for breakfast I would have a protien shake, lunch homemade chili with 5 types of beans made with ground turkey, dinner maybe several deli sliced turkey with cheese. It takes some getting used to but so worth it.

What Is A "normal" Weight?
Finding MeMe replied to CRANBERRY31's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I plan to stop losing when I hit a normal/healthy BMI, I am now overweight at 29% BMI at 189 lbs, started at 250 also and plan to go down to 21 or 22% body fat. I no longer focus on the scale but instead look at my BMI. But, I will see how I feel and how I look at 22% body fat and decide. I am wearing size 7 jeans now so it just depends because I don't want to shrink down to a size 1 or 2 but again I will see as the weight comes down. Take Care. -
They are going away slowly but surely and almost flat as a pancake from 38D and I lost 60 lbs.
