    Breakfast Ideas

    Refried beans on scrambeled eggs, eggs with shreaded cheese, sometimes I eat baked beans with a side of scrambeled eggs. I may make a big pot of chili and eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner some days.
  2. This is a hot topic here search around. I experienced it at around 3 months and it's not anything I worry about. I rather look hot with a wig or weave than be fat and unhealthy with a full head of lovely hair.

  4. Honestly, at one month I was not thinking about solid food and at 4 months, I still hate solid meat. I was sticking to the pre-op diet because hard solid foods did not feel good going down. I also wanted to lose the maximum weight possible so I sticked with soups and lots of protien shakes. I also made sure to exercise for at least one hour per day starting at my 2 week mark. I would recommend to get back to the basics and stay away from the solids for a while if you want to lose more. And don' t forget to crank up the intensity level while working out, you should be breathless and dripping with sweat.

    Weight Loss Stalling?!

    I had mine on 23 Jan and have lost 60 lbs to date. I work out 60-90 min per day, 6 days per week and I am happy with my wt loss. I recommend to hide your scale and take it our once per week to weigh yourself. Sometimes we get addicted to seeing a loss when we get on the scale. We will all experience stalls because our body is adjusting to the weight loss and hate to lose weight. Stalls are good and as long as you are not gaining you are doing great. Good luck to you.

  11. UMMMM, personally I would find another doctor or self pay, I would not do a GB if it was free or if they were giving it away. Only the GS for me, I have read too much negative info about rerouting your plumbing and the malabsorbtion issue.

    He sounds like a "Hater" to me. If he was a true friend and not a selfish someone he would be a little more sensitive to your feelings. I only hang around positive people so if this happened to me, I would address it and move on if the behavior dosen't change.

    Add one banana, some strawberries or kiwi. Frozen berries/peaches are also good to change up the flavor.
  16. I'm bad also because I don't track calories eventhough I know that I need to. Maybe when I reach goal weight I will start tracking to determine my optimum level to maintain. Until then I will eat until I am uncomfortable which is a few bites and exercise hard for 60-90 minutes per day and drink what I want.

    It is a fight to break up with our beloved "food" especially the unhealthy type isn't it. It takes a while to get used to this lifestyle and your new tool. I try not to think about my old love too often and found ways to replace the unhealthy with the healthy foods. Hang in there it gets better.

    My blender became my best friend during this stage. I blended bananas, strawberries, melons and made yummy sorbet and pudding. I also blended my protien shake with fruit and 1% lactose free milk which made it yummy and tolerable.

    It's all mind over matter and your choice to live healthy. So suck on your ice chips and pretend it's pizza. My hubby loves pizza but I don't eat it so when he buys it I go in the other room or I may smell it and pretend to eat it. Hang in there it will get easier just remember that slim figure and donating those clothes you currently wear.

    Started at 250 exactely 4 months ago now at 185, thirty more to go.
  24. I'm 4 months out and I can feel it slowing down. I also notice that when I crank up my intensity and work out hard for the week, I lose more weight. I don't count calories or carbs but I will start soon because I need to know the amount of calories by body needs maintain my goal weight. I like the restriction part of the sleeve because no matter how good the food looks I can only have a small amount which helps me to easily lose weight. When before, I would work out twice a day for at least 2 hours and the scale wouldn't move.
  25. Like I was hit by a mack truck. Not to scare you but nothing could have prepared me for surgery because it was the first time I was under anastesia or remaining overnight in the hospital. I was so afraid and thougt I couldn't survive but i did. Good Luck to you.
