Still Afraid Of The Camera!
Finding MeMe replied to kcage's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Girl, star taking those pictures because you look FABULOUS!!!! I felt the same way until I got my new I-phone now I am a picture taking queen. All smiles here with my wt loss. My hubby said I've never seen so many pictures of you in my phone. Here are my poses in my phone. -
I read a lot of negatives on the malabsorbtion issue with (Rny and gastric bypass) and I did not like the fact that my plumbing/intestines were going to be forever rerouted and changed so that I could not absorb certain nutrients. When I read about night blindness and having issues with nutrition, the sleeve won.

Soooo Disappointed!
Finding MeMe replied to bnorms's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is why I love this site because we can agree to disagree. I believe that there is nothing wrong with serving in any military branch, yesterday, today and tomorrow and some believe that one should never serve or should not serve in today's military. To each his or her own right and my you make the best choice for you. Good luck to you however you serve because you are in a good profession. -
Congratulations, keep it up your look amazing. My legs is my problem area also.

Soooo Disappointed!

Heck yeah, think about the Army, go Army Beat Navy. The VA needs nurses and so does the Army so your dream of serving in the military is still possible. Hooahhhhh. -

What Do You Do While Waiting Several Months For Surgery?
Finding MeMe replied to lovex5's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would check and ask the nurse in charge of the program if you must be 40% BF and above and if you fall below that will you still qualify. I also had treatment at a Military Hospital and can't imagine that once you start the program if you lose a little wt you can't get the surgery. Most physicians want you to start losing wt and get healthy ASAP. Civilian hospitals however are different. Once you know the answer for sure, I would start a good walking/exercise program because recovery will be easier if you are more fit. -
My First Sign Of Loosing Weight. And It's Not Good.
Finding MeMe replied to Candyman's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Really, I look at it as a good sign. Nothing negitave about slimming down and no longer having fat fingers and toes. Happy losing and you can always get it resized at a jewelery shop when you find it. -
Now I see why some people go to Mexico for surgery. Our US prices are outrageousl

Feeling No Support
Finding MeMe replied to jazzyjay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there, first of all there are a lot of "I call them HATERS" mainly because WLS is misunderstood and people think it is the easy way out. Join the club, I would say that 99% of us who decided to have drastic surgery tried all the ways to lose WT. Many of us lost and gained the same 50-100 lbs over and over again. I recommend for you to be careful who you tell, because people will have a lot to say, some will be supportive and some will not. Some people like to tell the world about their procedure in order to help others, reduce the stigma, etc. However, me personally I only told a few close people, this is my medical procedure and my business and I will tell you if I know you on a personal level. Good luck to you. -
You should bring your protien with you in a small plastic bag and you can buy one of those protien shakers with the wire mesh inside. You may also want to stop by a supermarket and buy some string cheese and some roast beef or turkey to make cheese wraps. There is a 7-11 store on the strip and you can always pick up a small can of microwaveable chili or soup there is a microwave on site. Have fun, I will vacation there for 3 weeks in July.

I just discovered canned baked beans today. I now eat beans for breakfast because it is high in protien and goes down easy. Bush's baked beans is the best.

Take your time and give yourself time to heal. Also remember that exercise is not always done on the threadmill or in the gym. Chasing after the kids, cleaning the house, cooking, vacuming, cleaning the kitchen, making the beds, walking up and down the stairs, walking the dog, etc is also exercise.

Yeah, good for you!!!!!!!. I know how you feel because I brought a size 7 jeans for motivation 30 days ago and they fit this morning. Enjoy your vacation.

Lumpy Thighs And Massage
Finding MeMe replied to Knee2010's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
If it works please tell me beause I am skeptical. I think that only lots of quads and hamstring exercises will tone up those lumps. Recommend a good lowerbody program like lunges, squats, and classes like step aerobics and cycling to work those legs. I wish you luck but please let me know if the rolling pin and massage machine works for you... -

What You Wish You Had Known About The Sleeve

That I had to make time to eat because the hunger for food is just not there. Sometimes I just don't want to eat but have to eat for the nutrition not enjoyment. -
Disappointed And Discouraged..............
Finding MeMe replied to changewithin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Depending on your finance situation you should consider self-paying. Lots of people on this forum go to Mexico to get it done most of the surgeons I read about are popular. Some also get the procedure financed and pay it off monthly. Some choose to self pay because they just don't want to bother with the insurance hoops, making people wait 9 months, 2 years for the procedure, etc. I hope you don't give up because this surgery is a life changeing experience and worth every dime you will pay, if that is the way forward for you. Good luck to you. -
