Will I Really Not Be Starving?
AllForMy4 replied to Jjen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 6 weeks out and the ONLY time I ever get hungry is if I have went a long time without sipping on my water. :/ Then when I start drinking again,it immediately goes away. I have went through the head hunger and nipped it real quick,I have no problems now with that,it is hard at first. I get up every day and have to make myself eat a good breakfast(an egg and a few bites of peaches,or a string cheese). -

Dying My Hair After The Sleeve? Will It Make Hair Loss Worse?
AllForMy4 replied to AllForMy4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you all for responding. My hair is beginning to fall out as of about 3 days ago. I have been meeting all liquids and protein requirements now,as well as taking my vitamins daily,so I am surprised it came on so quick.. =( I'm 6 weeks out...I bought some biotin today and omega 3,although I think I heard that you have to take it BEFORE hair loss for it to help prevent it,but I started it anyway. I will likely go ahead and dye my hair back to it's normal color this weekend,I'll let yall know if anything horrid happens..lol -

Pre Surgery Question...
AllForMy4 replied to bratvp63's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi,congrats on your decision to be sleeved! You will love it! =) I did not have this same plan. I had a 2 week pre-op diet,(but I have heard of alot of ppl not having to have a pre-op diet at all),I did have a catheter but they took it out before the anesthesia wore off and they did not do a leak test on me,but I stayed 2 days. -
My princesses are so so sick, especially Aaliyah. Barky cough, throwing up,lethargic,etc.. Wish it was me instead of them! I hate this for my babies! =( Kickin off today with Dr. Appts..

I can't believe they did this but I DO BELIEVE YOU. How horrible! Shame on them. You were not only fighting for your life you were fighting for your babies too. How are they? Whew... you make me feel like a sissy after hearing your horror story. Thank you so very much for sharing your story. I would love to meet you someday & the twins too. xxxoooo ---------------------- Thank you. My twins are great. I carried them full term and they were 7 pounds each! =) They are now 13 months. I'm gonna go ahead and unfollow this thread bc I don't wanna feed into any drama that may come with it,I just wanted to give my opinion on it and let you know there are ppl here that believe you. Good luck to you! -

Almost Died Fm Vsg Surgery.
AllForMy4 replied to Kim David's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Kim,I have read through this whole thread. I hope you get things figured out real soon and that justice is served. I post here alot,I always get support. I love this site. What I am struggling to wrap my head around is why some people felt the need to bash your story and point out their opinions of inconsistencies when this is supposed to be a site where you can come and tell your story and seek advise and comfort! I think ppl need to stop being so judgmental and have a little faith. If you don't believe her story, then don't comment! Yes,I understand that some of you think it may scare ppl away from having the sleeve. But if anyone has done the research that they should on the sleeve, they will see that the complication rate is low and the success rate high. I don't mean to come off rude,I guess I am a little appalled at the fact that as soon as one person said the story sounded fishy,so many other ppl just jumped on the bandwagon and started bashing this lady like she is a liar. When I tell my version of a story,it is hard to get my facts straight too. I'm not a liar,I pride myself on being honest, brutally honest in fact. When I was 19 weeks pregnant with my twin daughters just last year,I had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital bc I was in severe, excrutiating pain. I am rolled back to the e.r bed then left there crying and screaming. No one said A WORD to me. A nurse comes about 5 minutes later and doesn't even look at me,she just gets on a computer and starts typing. I am screaming for help, that I am pregnant with twins, and that I am in pain and I am afraid I am losing them, begging her to help me,to get a doctor,to give me something for pain. She looked at me and very rudely said "the doctor is handling something more important and I can't get you something for pain until he orders it,so you'll just have to wait" then she walked away. By this time I feel like I am going to pass out. I had no cell phone with me,noone came with me as it was the middle of the night and my husband had to stay with our other 2 kids bc my mother didn't wake up to her phone ringing. It took an hour,A WHOLE HOUR of me screaming and crying and feeling my babies kicking in distress for ANYONE to come in,and as they are doubting me that I am even pregnant with twins (I was so fat you couldn't tell yet but had been going to the dr since 6 weeks pregnant) I passed out! Woke right back up to them trying to start an iv and then they gave me morphine, then finally an ultrasound tech came in and gave me an ultrasound on my kidneys and saw I had an enormous amount of kidney stones, then went on to check on the babies and lo and behold, once they saw my babies in my belly they started being sooo much nicer,as if I just wasn't worth the time before. Point is,that crazy things can happen in the hospital. Noone should have made me wait that long to even come in and take my vitals or SOMETHING. I could have died in there waiting for help if it would have been something way worse than kidney stones. Sorry for the rambling story I am just saying that crazy, bizarre things do happen, and hospitals don't always give their patients the care they need/deserve. I am just surprised to get on here after the day I've had and see ppl being rude to someone that was reaching out for help and advise, and comfort. I've made some great friends here and I hope to keep them even after they read my post,I just had to get how I felt about this thread off of my chest... Kim I believe your story and I wish you all the best. I think you should start your diet over. Pretend like you are newly sleeved. Start on Clear liquids, then move up to full liquids and Protein shakes, make sure you are taking your Vitamins also. Then after a couple weeks of full liquids go to pureeds, then on to softs. Combine all this with a good 64 ozs of liquids and day,and consistent exercise, and that weight will come off girl. Also, see another bariatric surgeon,so maybe they can try to help you figure out why you are vomiting still.. Sorry you didn't have the best experience here on this site, but you can message me anytime if you need to talk. I like to help others,it makes me feel good. To always doubt would def make me feel like a bitter person, just sayin. ((HUGS)) -
Congrats on your sleeve!!! I had mine 5 weeks ago and I love it also!

How Many Carbs Do You Eat Daily?
AllForMy4 replied to kayte819's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How far out are you? I am 5 weeks out and honestly I haven't kept a strict count on anything bc I know I'm not eating near enough to do any damage. I am pretty much living on protein drink and water. :/ Sorry I couldn't be of much help,I would ask your nutritionist how many carbs you should be having. -
3 1/2 Weeks Out And Stalled Again
AllForMy4 replied to lovePINK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
20 pounds is awesome in a month! I lost 20 pounds in my first month(24 now,at 5 weeks out) and it feels great! If you lose another 20 every month, your excess weight will be gone in no time girl!! Just have to give it time, and let your body take it's own course. And yes, those pounds are never coming back,it's not like those yo-yo diets we've all done before where we lose a bit, stall, then give up and gain the weight back and then some, our sleeves will keep working as long as we utilize them right, they will get us through the stall and probably lose a couple extra pounds after. Even if you do lose the weight slower than others, you're still gonna lose it. ((HUGS)) -
Wow,I know that must feel awesome! CONGRATS!!! Cannot wait to check this off my list of nsv's!

Looking to make the 20 somethings forum active
AllForMy4 replied to ATLGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know how you feel girl! Just think about your health and the rest of your life. Carrying extra weight now while we're young may or may not do too much to our health, but carry it for 20 more years and it will likely do alot. One of the main reaosns I had the sleeve done was to give me a better chance at being here longer for my 4 children, and to set a great example of health and fitness for them,in hopes that they won't grow up and be overweight like I have been since the age of 10. I def think you're making the right decision, just hang in there, you'll be on the loser's bench in no time! =)) We're all here to support you. -
There is hope! You are so young and didn't get too awfully big so I would think there is some serious hope you won't have many problems with skin at all. Just keep hydrated, keep up with your Vitamins, get a good compression garment, and invest in some great oils and lotions. Oh and exercise your butt of. =)

It is going great actually. I thought I would still wanna eat the same things like I used to but I truly don't. I am never hungry, and I get full wayyy fast when I actually eat solids. lol. It is hard at first to get in all the liquids and Protein. Ask away girl,we're here to help! I don't regret my surgery at all,I would do it again in a second actually! It is truly the best thing that has happened to me aside from my children of course. =) Oh and yes I am used to my sleeve already, and not bein able to eat much. I love it so much.
