November Sleevers 2011 Roll Call Shoutouts
biggestloser replied to 100%Sleeved's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey Banana Babes, Its good to hear everyone is doing great at this stage in the game. My doctor said unfortunately after 6 months the 'golden period' for weight loss tends to slow down considerably. I have definitely felt the effects of it and haven't really lost as quickly as before. But i haven't let it get me down, it just means its time to kick the exercise and strength training into overdrive. It's hard to believe i'm so close to my initial goal but i don't plan to stop there. Then it will be a whole new adventure of being in the promised onederland! Best wishes and love to all the banana babers, keep up the good fight! -

Hey guys! I thought i would check in with you guys also and let you know how my progress has been going. Tuesday marked my 3 month post op day, and i must say things are been going great. I feel like i have a good handle of things now and my body has adjusted well to sleeve. I can eat now and know exactly when i've had just enough and not feel overly full and uncomfortable, which is awesome. Energy levels are up and i feel like i haven't had any operation done to me at all! well of course besides losing the weight and looking better and healthier than i ever have before. lol well onto the best part of this whole thing, i have lost 74 pounds to date since the operation. And i couldn't be more happy and thankful to have had this surgery. I too am enjoying this journey and its great to hear that everyone of you guys are too! -
Hey guys! So glad to hear everyones surgery went well and good luck to all those about to have it done. I am 1 week post op now and feel pretty great and back to normal. I am starting to get really tired of the protein shakes tho! Can't wait another week until my doc lets me go onto the mushies! I keep watching the food network channel and salivating at how good all the food looks lol. i know i'm a sucker for self infliction. i call it my food porn channel now hahaha. I did order some unjury chicken soup so i can change it up from time to time with all the protein shakes. Also, good news i did my 1 week weigh in and i lost 19 pounds since surgery! I'm overly happy and now the protein shakes don't seem as bad lol.

Hello Banana Babes! where to begin... I'm Alive! lol I thought i would check in and share with you guys how my surgery went. I went to the hospital at 5:30, checked in, and right away the nurses started taking my temperature and blood pressure and what not. I changed into the hospital gown and the nurses proceeded to go over my charts followed by administering the iv, antibiotics, acid reducer and some kind of fluid to swallow to stop gastric juices. Yuck! Waited for a bit longer, followed by a visit from my surgeon and anesthesiologist. Then they started i'm guessing the anesthesia in my iv and rolled me into the busy OR and placed a mask lightly over my mouth and nose. Then BAM i wake up in the recovery room and my stomach was killing me from the gas so i quickly asked for the drugs! haha. I fell back alseep to wake up to minor pain my in upper stomach but the nurse reassured me it was just the gas and once it was gone i would feel a lot better. The nurse monitored my oxygen levels for awhile telling me to take deeper breaths which was a little hard since i was trying to deal with the gas pain. Honestly, it felt like i had eaten a whole bunch of cheese(i'm lactose intolerant) and my stomach was hurting from the doo doos lol. Once my oxygen levels were ok, i was sent back to my regular room for short while. Then off the radiology where they took xrays of my stomach and had me do the leak test. Once everything checked out fine i was sent back to my room where i was monitored for a couple of hours and then released around 1. So here i am back home sip sip sipping on water and taking some pain meds but all in all. i feel much much better now at 5pm. Sorry for the long post! will update later on my progress! BANANA BABES!
