Tina, Not to clutter this thread I have sent you a PM.

It is a very good documentary. The name of it is FAT: What No One Is Telling You Search your cable listing for it, I am going to copy it when it comes on again next week. This is worth seeing and keeping. They talk about pyschological, genetic and other reasons for why folks get fat. Go to: http://www.pbs.org/tvschedules/?edit_st=y Put your zip in and select a channel, when you do the search for the show just type in the word fat and it will float up to the top. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Look at it like this --- I dont think there is too much that a doctor hasn't already seen!!!! -
Not sure if this is the Deep Creek Lake you are talking about but this is in Garrett County Maryland http://rentals.deepcreek.com/

Donna, Congratulations on your band!!! I too love geocashing. It is in some cases truly a workout. Take care and keep us posted.

I love my band not only because of the weight loss but also because before banding I was taking 4 pills for diabetese and 3 for high blood pressure. Today I only take 1 for diabetese and 1 for high blood pressure. I feel like me and my band are saving my life!!!
-
Oh my that is funny!!!

Look on the bright side at least you have lost!!! Perhaps its time for you to get another fill that might help. Good luck to you.

Thoughts and Prayers for Marz88 and family
gunn4ya replied to kim2bhealthy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. -
What if the band doesn't work? Keep in mind the band is a tool, it works with you so it will work if you let it. Do you still have food cravings? I will bet that all of us have cravings of some kind. The band doesn't make your stomach change or your mind which I believe is the real culprit of cravings. What if there are complications? You will probably have to have the doctor spell this out for you, what he is including in your price and what's not. What do you tell people? If you dont want a whole lot of input from folks only tell those that you feel will give you sound and reasonable advice. I only told my immediate family (husband & kids) and about 4 close friends. Good luck to you.

Yep, no joke about the runny nose. When mine start to go athletic it's time to push back from the table otherwise it will be time to run down the hall to visiti the porcelain crown.

:lost1.5lbs: Ok now I got that out the way! Since I like you I am just gonna give you a gentle:boink: But somebody sure as heck needs to throw a brick at me:brick:Ouch did I say that?

So how do you exercise when you have multiple physical problems
gunn4ya replied to bitteroldhag's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Bitteroldhag, Ok here comes hopefully some helpful persuasion. Do you like living???? You might not like hearing this but you're not helping yourself. Give up the cigarettes, go to the doctor to get on a patch or something. My mother had 5 bypass Heart surgery and I forbid her to smoke when she came home. I know it was hard but she did it cold turkey no patch or nothing. Then we started doing walks around the block. My mom was about your age then and lived to be 82. So get off that couch and go walk the pooches. And remember you are not alone in this struggle. -
T, I am over here losing my mind with you. Why in the heck did I think I could eat a one slice of French toast. Now I am feeling that golf ball effect slowly but I know its coming!!!! Can someone just call me a glut for punishment!!!:faint: :help:
-
Marys, Dont give up yet perhaps its time for a fill. I noticed you were banded in 2005 and I was also banded that year. What me and my doc found out was that some of the fills we thought were going in didnt go in, he completely missed the port. So I would suggest talking to the doctor. I have a new doctor now and believe me he does not miss the port and I am really tight, since June I have continuously lost. And then you have to admit some of us are just slow losers. Are you excersing? I know when I was exercising at least 4 times a week the weight always dropped a pound or two. I have been lazy lately and am trying to get out of this no exercise rut. Stay with it, your band will work with you, give it time.
