Ok, you guys can stop talking about how much fun you had!!! Every time I try to plan on coming something comes up. I am still hopeful that one day, yes one day, I will make it to the support group. Dont give up on me yet. To each of my Maryland Banders, Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

The walking will help. You need to go up and down stairs if you have them. As soon as you start burping the feeling will slowly go away. Main thing here to remember is dont wait til you get really hungry to eat cause you will have a tendency to eat too fast. Chew, chew well. I've got this new thing going on, I notice I am tighter in the evening. It usually helps if I drink something warm an hour before I eat. Good luck and I sympathize with you cause it is a terrible feeling.

Last week I went to Chicago for a seminar. When I got there I could barely get anything down but it got better as the week went on. Now I have returned I am even tighter. What happened? Has anyone else experienced this or is there something else going on with me? One other thing is that I am sore where my stomach is. Not when I touch it but if I cough, laugh or hit a bump while driving. And help or info would be appreciated :cry

DJ, Just be careful when you first eat. I was so tight I had two forks full and was about to lose my mind, serious backup. Have a good trip.

Thanks for the info. I talked to my doctor yesterday and he said he had no explanation why this would have happened. Alex, I am going to take your advice and try to lose a couple of pounds.

Has anyone ever gotten filled all the way to the limit of what the band holds? What happens if it gets to this point?

Kyleighp, How many cc's are you up to with your fills?

Barbara, Try the tuna and egg salad. Mix it with low fat mayo (add a little more than you normally would) and some sweet relish, salt and pepper. You can also fix the chicken salad like that too but I had problems in the beginning eating the chicken salad cause it was a little more to consume. I didnt eat crackers at all til I went to the regular food stage. I eat the low sodium Ritz cracker and usually only 4 or 5. Good luck to you.

I took off 2 weeks but could have gone back earlier. So I think you will be ok with the 7 days. You may feel a little tired the first couple of days so I hope your boss is understanding. Your liquid diet will consist of any liquid that can go thru a straw. However, do NOT use a straw they cause air for lapbanders. You can have apple juice, cranberry juice, tea (non caffeinated), Protein shakes, lots of Water, carnation Breakfast milk. I even pureed up some of the cream of kind Soups and mixed them with the milk to thin them out. You can have sugar free popsicles. Depending on how long your dr. puts you on liquids after that you will move to the mushy stage. It gets a little better. Me and scrambled eggs with no sugar applesauce were really good friends. Also, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad with lots of mayo. Mashed potatoes with spinach in them and a sprinkle of cheese were good to. Good luck.
