Congratulations on your band. I used a small pillow and held it firmly against my stomach whenever I had to get up. That helped a lot.
-
Penni, I hope and pray your mom gets better soon. In the meantime you need to try to rest in case you have some unforseen additional tasks to do.

Oh My Goodness, DeLarla, you come up with the most hilarious stuff!!!

Hey VinesQueen, Sorry to hear you are under the weather. Take care that cellulitis is no joking matter. My mom had it and it took her for a loop. They should be giving you lots of IV antibiotics. Hope you have a speedy recovery. -
Hello, I just came back from my drs. today and he gave me kinda bad news. He is leaving the office he is with and is not sure if in his new position whether he will still do bariatric surgery. So what does this mean for me? It means that he is referring all of his patients to Dr. Brody. I have heard good things about Dr. Brody I am just use to Dr. Brodsky. I am really going to miss him. :D

I use the Centrum orange chewables. Taste good to me, almost like a sweeter baby aspirin. -
Stocky, It just seems like a long time. But in no time things will all be taken care of. Remember patience, during this time you will learn to have it as your friend.

Ok, I'm feeling that inspiration. Let me go and get me some water. In fact I am going to use small cups today which will force me to keep walking to the water cooler.

Yeah, I know. I never have been one for that sharing stuff. It started a long time ago being an only child. I definitely don't believe in sharing my man!!LOL!!! :D
-
Thanks everyone. It feels like you're getting in a new relationship. You know how it is when you have to get a new man. Does he say the right things, does it feel right and is he really all about me!!! So now I have to get to know someone all over. I am hoping Brody will be all that Brodsky has been for me.

I know the feeling. Since my fill on Nov. 28 I have been experiencing the same thing. One day you can eat ok and then the next day you go back to finish the leftovers and pow it hits you, you're stuck! I have learned not to assume every day is the same! :D -
Thanks, I need some love right now.:violin:

Lovely, looks like you're ready for some entertaining.

Yes, I have had it. It is not so much the procedure they do but afterwards your teeth are very sensitive to everything hot or cold. The procedure involved holding your mouth open with an aparatus for a long time. I think it was about an hour and not very comfortable. Also I found that afterwards you needed to continue to use the whitening stuff in a mold of your teeth. I did this for about a year but really i wish I had saved my money. The strips they sell in the stores seem to do the same. I did notice a big difference in the beginning but the teeth go back to almost the way they were.

has anyone used a surgeon who was light on band experience?
gunn4ya replied to Sunta's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yep ditto, I was my doctor's first and he had a proctor. But he has been a surgeon for a while and had done lots of gastric bypasses which is much more complicated than the lapband. -
Sending up a prayer for Burt and you. Good luck.
