  1. I ate some twizzlers the other day and also some chocolate covered raisins. Also I have been drinking more diet pepsi than I should and not as much water. I am on a mission to do better from now on. I am starting to wonder if my back pain might actually be kidney pain from being dehydrated.

    I Hate Eating....

I hate eating too and I am 3.5 months post op. My whole day consists of 3 protein drinks, cheese sticks, and popsicles. Thats it and that all. I have tried food but it all hurt me so now I get so nervous and anxious that I refuse to eat at all. I would rather stick to the things that are safe then to venture out and hurt later. I read that Im allowed veggies now so I am going to try nibbling on some raw carrots and maybe some other raw veggies and see how it goes. Im so sick of my current diet, plus with as little as I eat I still stall! Im in a stall right now what a crock. LoL. We will get there I know it, it just takes time.

Im about 3.5 months post op Im wondering if I should try some raw veggies. I have been getting so bored with my other options lately, veggies would really spruce it up. Im just so nervous to try anything new. My day seriously consists of protein drinks, string cheese, and popsicles. Im gunna buy carrots tomorrow, im so nervous LoL

    Officially Post Op!

    Congrats and welcome !
  6. I feel that way a lot of times,, but I usually get over it pretty quickly. The thing is you already had the surgery so why not try to be positive. You can't go back now so just work with what you have and try to feel good about it. You must have had reasons you initially wanted the surgery right? Focus on those things and good luck. It will all work itself out in the end.
  7. Dooter that is about the best way I have heard to describe the whole drinking water thing. It helped me understand it a little better too. Thanks.!

    Bowel Movements

Once a week is not very healthy. I think I heard somewhere that you should go at least once a day. You should make sure you are drinking enough water, that really helps the bowels get a move on. Also take a stool softener/laxative everyday. Besides that what I do is those wax suppositories. That's only if I have gone a day or 2 and still haven't pooped. This is a common problem, your surgeon can also give you some recommendations too.

    The Scale Lies!

This is so true! Thats why I can never understand the people who weigh in multiple times in the day. They must be getting so many different numbers, I would go crazy. I weigh myself every morning. I don't get too hung up on the numbers but darn it I would like to break my stall and get under 200 pounds! Good post! Makes everyone really think about how much the scale is really telling us.
  10. I haven't had them since my surgery but I know when I used to diet before surgery I ate them a lot. I really liked them but eventually I had to give them up because they were causing me to stall in my weight loss. They are high in sodium which u can offset by drinking more fluids but what usually got me was the carbs. There were just too many carbs for my body. Everyone is different though and you may find that they work out good for you. Once or twice a week would prolly be ideal I would think.

    Head Hunger

It is totally food porn! U know what gets me so pissed is that at the gym they have "food network" as one of the presets on a Tv. I mean really we r here cuz we r fat and thats what I have to watch ... JERKS. Anywho I LOVEEE carbs and well I am 3 months out and there r still days when Im just like WTH and sit around being crappy all day cuz I am carb deprived. I am mean to the world and just plain PMS-y without the pms. LoL Usually those days I end up eating my good for me popcorn and having an extra cheesestick. Now that I am writing this I cant remember how far along u are so I am not sure if u can have those things yet or not. I wish i could say it gets easier, but I just dont think it does. Its a battle I fight everyday non-stop. I love my Pasta, my chips, my subway, MY CARBS! LoL. U arent alone though, keep up the good work and at least u can say u lost ur weight even if u did miss ur sandwiches along the way.

    Flavorless Protein?

As far as I know it is only online.

    Flavorless Protein?

In my opinoin I dont think that any unflavored protein powders actually have no flavor. If i had to pick the best one it would hands down be unjury.

    My First Nsv.....and Second!

Thats so awesome!! I want to weigh less than my fiance too. I am about 3 pounds away from onderland and I am hitting another stall. He weighs 175 so I have a ways to go but I bet it feels so good to say that u weigh less. Congrats! Keep sheddin those pounds!
  15. I would say that since being sleeved I am overall just more happy. My life isn't that great right now. My fiance and I have a lot of financial problems as well as family issues and numerous other things. I find that with me shedding my extra weight I am able to be more positive about things even when the outlook may look grim.

    70 Lbs Gone! Pics

That is amazing! You look sooo good congrats!
  17. I love to power walk. I do anywhere from 6 to 10 miles a day. When I first started 3 months ago I was walking slowly and doing about 3 miles and using 1# weights for my arms. Now like I said I am power walking and using 3# weights for my arms. The only issue I am having is over doing it and then my body tends to build muscle instead of losing fat. Not to take away from the original post but does anyone have any ideas on how to increase my fat burn on the treadmill. Right now I am walking at a 4.0 mph for like 2 to 2.5 hours with the 3# weights.

    Putting The Scale Away

Congrats to you! I wish I could do the same thing but I just can't. I have tried many times but I have to weigh everyday. I don't get too upset if there is a small gain or anything but I do get excited for all the losses. I will keep weighing myself until I am at goal then I will try to cut back. I would love to spend everyday not worrying about my weight but I'm just not that kind of person. IT's so hard! So I can really see how hard this will be for you and how awesome it is that you are doing it. Good Luck!!
  19. I agree with both of the previous posts. You may just be trying to do too much too soon. Try slowing down a bit and going back to liquids. I know that my doc's office has always said if you throw up then you need to go back to liquids at least 24 hours and then introduce foods again slowly. I have thrown up only a handful of times but I always felt so horrible afterwards. Rest assured tho that there is prolly nothing horribly wrong with you or anything. I think many of us have been down your road before and it will be okay. Also, many many many people cannot tolerate eggs of any kind after this surgery, you may also be one of them. Anyways call your doc if you are worried but I think it will be okay. Get some rest, slow down, and dont try eggs for a couple days. Good Luck.

    Where To Shop!

I agree with Bedhead. I love Target too but their sizes run small, I don't want that negative energy holding me down. I actually had to buy a pair a leggings there the other day and was a XXL. It's crazy because I wear a Large shirt and a size 12-14 pants, it made me depressed to buy anything in XXL so Blah on Target. I'm also excited to buy stuff from Pacific Sun and really any store in the mall. Also exciting is when I am somewhere like Deb's or Sear's or even Wal-Mart and I can buy clothes in Juniors and not in Misses. Hellz YAH!
  21. Congrats! This is such a great NSV. I am super proud of you for getting out there and doing it. Many people big or small don't have the courage to get out there and do the things they want whether it be weight or other things. So good for you!
  22. I am basically going to repeat other people but I was going to say enema if it's just too much to handle. Also my BF who has this issue usually does those waxy things up the butt, they work well for him. Since having the surgery I tend to be a pooping pro, it comes when it wants and there ain't no stopping it. I also take a stool softener/laxative everyday because in my opinoin there is nothing worse than being constipated. BLAH. Good Luck!

    Thank You

Welcome Welcome! This site is SO awesome. I have been on here since way before my surgery and I still find time everyday to jump on and read the posts. I had my surgery Nov 30th and I still find there are things I dont know, plus I get to help people who may have gone thru what I went thru.

    Does Your Mirror Lie?

I have a horrible self image. I ALWAYS see a fatter girl in the mirror. I also have a hard time believing anyones compliments. I know in time I will see myself as thinner, but for now I still see a fat girl. Sometimes I do see a thinner me, but it doesn't happen very often. I guess this is due to me always being overweight and it's going to take a long time before my mind understands that I am different. If I get down to my goal weight and I am still seeing a fat girl, it's time for some professional help LoL.
  25. I'm glad you are going to get checked on, from what everyone says dehydration is a HUGE thing. It's not something I would mess around with at all. Good Luck hun, hope all turns out well.
