So is anyone else experiencing hunger this close after surgery. I dont think its acid cuzz i have no heartburn at all and ate tums and nexium and didnt fix it. This is very frustrating why did i cut out my stomach if in hungary. Oh and 9 days out i ate a whole little cup of sugar free pusding in like 30 mins and was fine is that weird

tomorrow will be 1 week and i feel great. almost no pain. a little tired . and amazingly past couple days have been able to get down all the protein and fluids. oh and finally got some sleep lol.

Hi congrats when you read this you will be groggy and recovering. Lol i am just under 1 week post op and down 25,pounds ( 10 preop) tye first night was ruff but walk asap and amap. Just sleep when you can and relax as much as you can. Everyday i get a step back tov100% recovery but skinnier. Anyway good luck happy sedation dreams and keep updating

Ok so kinda been random posting since surgery on march 21, but am gonna try and give an update. Well to recap day 1 was brutal the gas pains felt like i got beat by a spiked bat. Day 2 better, and now day 3 feelin halfway hunan again. Had my first bowel movement this morning. Thank the lord it was not pleasant but glad it happened. So now im drinking all kinds of fluids trying to get to docs recommended max 8 oynces an hr but can only do 3-4 right now while trying to get down medicine. Wish me continued healing and luck thanks for all your support

Finally day 1 it been about 8 hrs since sirgery having some pain in back but its manageable. Took a walk and drinking water. No nauseia cross your fingers. Oh i only have one incision through my belly button how cool

Thanks everyone day 3 and im up and around that first night was bad pain in my back but after that not so bad. Im gettin lucky i guess prat it keeps up

Hang in there everything i have read says just hang inthere and it will all come together. That first night i almost went crazy from the pain

First night was a bear. Wow that sucked lol. Today is much better except a cough wich hursts pretty bad and kind of scares me for leaks anyone else experience a cough with some chunks in lungs

Well got my scope done today everything is a go for tomm 3/21/12 lost 10 pounds pre op and am the first surgery in the morning at 9 est so wish me luck everyone.

Sorry to be this guy but just got it done today i was out enuff were it didnt hurt but i felt the whole thing. Not pleasant but not horrible swallowing the head suckec i felt like a swagul taking down a fish the they kept saying just relax its almost over and then i watched him turn it around and felt it turning in my gut lol

So i have posted here 2 times with a surgery date in the past six months. The 1st fell through because my mom went into icu 2 days before my surgery(she came out ok). The seconf time i tried my work required me to go out of town 18 hrs away for 10 weeks for training. Now this is all out of the way and im getting the sleeve on march 21st. Im exited and nervous but this time nothing short of armagedon is going to stop me. i am having my surgery at university hospitals in cleveland ohio by dr alan saber. have been on preop for 1 week and have lost 10 pounds and am dyiong for taco bell. have followed the diet 80-90% but have had an extra shake or piece of skim milk mozerella here and there. little nervous about the first couple weeks after surgery wondering if i will be hungary and wanting to freek out lol. I have a great support system and everyone i know knows what surgery i am getting so im sure they will all be understanding. just gonna take it one step at a time. I have had no probs with insurance bcbs federal has been great. well wish me luck and ill keep posting. oh i plan on taking pics once every week or 2 in my boxers to get the full effect so if you read more of my post be prepared lol. mike w

So in getting my surgery jan 18 wish me luck. Had to cancel due to my mom in intensive care back in october

So my question is i will be having sleeve surgery on jan 18 and am going out of town around mid february for 2 months so will this be enough time to not be worried about having a complication 15 hrs from home and will this be enough time to be mentally prepared to leave friends and family

i am scheduled for oct 19th and i have been looking at this option for probably six years. i am 32 years old and about 120 lbs over weight. i have been big my whole life not just fat but big also. The older i get the more i realize how much i have missed out on in my life because of my weight. Im sure it has effected me in ways i am not even aware of , and many waqys that i am. so finally everything fell into place for me and i am getting the sleeve. this was a tough decsion because everyone i have met (because when u tell people u are having this all the wls people come out of the closet) has had rny. which i think i am better suited for the sleeve being a volume/recreational eater. But now that this is a reality i am having seriuos second thoughts i dont know if this is a defense mechanism or what but i keep telling myself just try "weight watchers or shakes or calorie restriction again u can do it", then i think wait you have been on some sort of diet all your life, food is always in the back of your mind rather it be feelings of guilt because of eating something or thinking of what my next meal will be. this is really sad. so i have to force my brain into this, because no matter what it tells me i am doing this thing. ok enuff about me, one of my greatest concerns (other than death) is severe acid refulx or gerd. i dont have an issue with this now but am afraid of this. Is this something that usualyy goes away or stays with u forever. Some of people post on here freak me out alot and it seems like acid reflux affects everyone with sleeve not rny. and some more info my surgery will be a university hospital case medical center by dr alan saber i guess he has done over 500 sleeves with no deaths and 1 leak he couldnt tell me what bougie he uses cuzz he says he just uses a platic tube wich is a bougie lol. seems like a very knowledgable man and i trust him. well thanks for listening to me and any words of encouragement will be appreciated mike w
