I booked thru Dr Kelly personally. My surgery was 12-28-11. No problems or complications. I had a wonderful experience. He is a great and caring doctor. I cannot speak for the other doctors, but Dr Kelly was wonderful.

Hi Kelly!! So many of your posts encouraged me to look into Dr Kelly for my sleeve. Yes... I went directly thru him. I called a # I thought was for Trish, but Dr Kelly himself answered the phone. I communicated thru a lot of e-mails and as I got closer to my surgery date (12/28/11) Dr Kelly also called me. I was hoping to meet Trish because I had read so many great things about her but honestly I was so happy that everything went so smoothly and I really enjoyed resting and reading that I forgot to ask Dr Kelly about meeting her! He is a great doctor and other than being a slow loser I have no complaints!

I was sleeved by Dr Kelly 12/28/11 and had a great experience. No pain, no nausea. Excellent care. I used Florence hospital and stayed at the Lucerna hotel after. I think the issue is with the coordinators. I'm sure they don't like the fact that he is scheduling his own surgeries and taking money out of their pockets! I think it is sad that his reputation is being questioned.

I had my surgery @ Florence Hospital 12-28-2011 and have nothing but good things to say about the hospital, doctors and staff. I was on a floor with one other patient and we had two nurses and a hospitalist at all times. My room had a hospital bed and a double bed. I had a private bathroom also. Nothing fancy, but nice and clean. I had a great experience with Dr Kelly. I did not use a coordinator, I went directly thru Dr Kelly. I paid $5500 directly to him by way of cashiers check. His e-mail is jrkelly45@hotmail.com. My friends tried to dissuade me from going to Mexico alone, but I had absolutely zero problems. I was never afraid or felt threatened. I was also a "low BMIer" and had no problems at the hospital. I was worried because of things I had read here but Dr Kelly must have gotten everything straightened out. After two days in the hospital I had my leak test and then Dr Kelly himself checked me into the hotel Lucerna. The hotel was WONDERFUL!!! I only wish I had gone during warmer weather so I could have enjoyed the pool!! Go back and check out a post titled,"Body by Vi." I had responded to it a while back. Another member stated that it contained soy protein vs whey protein. WLS patients are supposed to stick to whey protein sources. (I think...... I have not been sleeved...yet!) Check it out, I hope this helps! Oh, and I really like those shakes!!!

Omg! The same thing happened to me Tuesday (11/1/11). I called with some questions for Trish and the gentleman that answered asked me "would you like to speak to Trish or a doctor?" I replied, "well I don't know, I guess if a doctor knows the answers that would be fine!" Well, it was Dr Kelly! I was a little flustered, but very impressed. He answered my questions, gave me his e-mail and told me to call with any additional questions or concerns. I am torn between staying in Texas or traveling to Mexico. As I am self pay, Mexico is cheaper. But I worry about complications and aftercare. That would be easier here in the Dallas area. Still researching.

I am curious about Dr Victor Gonzalez. Did you use him or find any info on him? Thanks!

I mix my breakfast shake with almond milk. I had not used almond milk before, and I find that I really like it. Sometimes I'll mix in sugar-free syrup. It's really good also. I want to try the coffee shake mix. It sounds good. You are doing great HDubsleevery!!

I live south of Dallas and these shakes are very popular. I tried them just to get something easy for breakfasts. They taste good but @ 12 grams of Protein, they may need protein supplementation. I have not been sleeved, just used them for weight loss.
