Candice glad you enjoyed your gig. Wish I was there. Hopefully no word on a job yet means they are trying to find something I want. I have been a disciplinarian too long! Think we'll be staying home tomorrow, swimming with my puppy again. Happy 4th Everyone!

Hi Everybody, 100 degrees in the city today. The humidity is not too high, so it's not that bad, and there was a strong breeze today. Almost finished finding the clothes I need for Mexico. Still no word on a job yet. No plans for the 4th. I think we will just stay home.DH has to work. My friend that lost over 100 lbs with her lap band just taught me something. Sometimes I can't swallow anything. Now I know it's because I am wearing tight jeans. If I have buckle up, zipper pants on, I can't eat. So, I guess this means I am staying in my night gown from now on.

Hi Everyone, I talked to someone today who may help. So hopefully she can do something about the job. Went shopping with DD yesterday. I need clothes for vacation. We are going to Mexico in July. Got DD a darling dress. I got a dress too, and I am NOT a dress person. We are packing very light for the trip. I have been shopping for excursions this weekend. I have to go make the schedules for the summer camp kids. Have a nice rest of the weekend everyone!

Hi everybody, I'm drunk posting, and I think my blood pressure is ok. IDK, and I don't give a crap. I feel OK, and I'm not hot, so it must be good. I interviewed on 6/13, and I STILL have not been notified if I have a freakin job. Everyone else at the school has been notified. I emailed some people today, and tomorrow I will make phone calls. Seriously!!!! What the freakin hell???? Oh, and one of the principals of one of the schools taken over must have backed out, cause the website posted an opening for her job today. What the freakin hell????? This is chaos!!!!! To hell with it, get me a damn margarita!!!!! This school system is a hot mess!

Talking to some people from work, they have gotten notification if they are going back to our school or not. I still haven't heard, they were supposed to tell us today. Say more prayers please, I can't go back.

Hi Everyone, I found out tomorrow if I keep my same job. I have decided I DON"T want it!!!!! Please say I prayer that I don't get it. They will just move me to another school if I don't. I can't work with the new principal. She is everything we were taught NOT to be in Ed Leadership. But she doesn't have a masters in ED, so she wouldn't know that. She was really qualified to be a principal though, cause she taught in a classroom for 3 years, she said dripping sarcasm. Her leadership style is dictator. No one is allowed to have opinions, and if you dare have one, she gets you, cause it pisses her off. If I get the job, I have to sign a contract for 3 years, and I ain't doing it! I already had this job for 5 years, and that's 4 too damn many! I also have a funeral this Sat. DH's aunt died. She was very lucid to the end. DH came home last Sat, and said they thought she was getting better. She is 90. She has been paralyzed for about a year, because she tripped getting on an airplane, on that ramp thing, and they moved her off, so the plane could go. Phyl- congrats on the weight loss. I am so hungry, I am going to bed.

I just deleted my whole post. OMG!!!!!!!!!! I am preparing my resume' and a portfolio to interview for a job I have already had for 5 years with a principal that hasn't talked to me in over 2 weeks. It's gonna be a damn hoot!!! We boiled crawfish yesterday then went to Bourbon. DD is a secret shopper and she had to valet park at a hotel, then go get Daiquiris at a Daiquiri shop, then we had to eat at a restaurant. We ate late. French Quarter restaurants stay open very late. I thought DH had a hangover, but he is sick. Fever, throwing up, and D, he's been throwing up since 4 am

Hi Everyone, DH's sister is in town to see his Aunt. She is in the hospital, may be dying, she's 90, and it looks like her kidney's are shutting down. We are gonna boil crawfish when they get back, it's getting too hot, so it's end of crawfish season (spring) We are already up to 90's. We are in the 90s in May, which usually does not happen, It's gonna be a HOT summer, maybe bad with hurricanes, I hope not. Karla, I forgot the initials you asked about the school, I don't know what that means, our area wrote a grant, and they are using the grant money to take over 7 low performing schools, mine is one. Every school in our area will soon be the same, You just can't reach the scores the government sets, and of course the teachers will be blamed for it, God knows the parents won't be blamed because their kids come to school with nothing, and do nothing in class, it's got to be the lazy ass teacher's fault. Phyl- glad your back is feeling better Candice- I'm sticking with my Ideal Protien, I can't eat carbs, because I am always hungry, if I get them out my system, I can diet Janet is my idol I'm am going see my Mom, and DD wants to go to NO tonight for Zydeco festival, NO has 3 festivals at once this weekend, Zydeco, Seafood, and Creole Tomato. IDK if we go, it may be too damn hot. But that's just gonna be an excuse because I'm worried about interviewing for my job. The prin is pissed at me, cause I didn't give her buddy a job, I think, I really don't know why she's pissed at me, she hasn't talked to me in 2 weeks, so interviewing is gonna be quite interesting, I may take a xanex, However, she knows I do a fab job, and has sung my praises to high ups, so we'll see. Monday is gonna be really, really stressful.

Round up is toxic? OMG, we use it all the time. They market it as being safe. We really have no chance, we are all gonna die, literally. Candice, we drove by Monsanto on our way to the plantation. My Dad had a friend at Monsanto that gave him a bucket of very very concentrated Round Up years age. DH just finished using the last of it this year. That's why cancer is the highest around here, the Mississippi washes everyone's poison straight down to us. I can't stop thinking about Phyl saying her friend had to take a pill she couldn't touch. That is soooo horrifying to me. Another thing about poison, I have a rose garden, roses get diseases, black spot, bugs, powdery mildew, they must be sprayed with poison, Mine don't look too hot, cause I don't want DH spray them, it scares me. My uncle died in his late 60, early 70, and they brought him back. Heart stopped. The doctors said it was because he was spraying his roses and he stayed in the clothes all day with the poison on them. The rose spray stopped his heart. He really died in his 80s with NO heart disease. If you are gonna get roses, research ones with high disease resistance, and research organic sprays. Barbara Streisand, lavender with fabulous smell, high resistance School is really stressful right now. I have to interview for my job on Monday. It's a job I have had for 5 years already. Our school is being reorganized because of a grant. But, it is way more than that. The stress is really bad. I can't eat. I throw up everything I try to eat. Today, I realized, hey maybe it is stress. I don't admit or notice that stress gets to me, but maybe it is. IDK, Many teachers are leaving our school, they do not like our new principal, but she has to interview for her job too. But, it's pretty much a given, she will get it. People way more qualified than her will apply, but she will get it. Our area is REALLY REALLY corrupt, it's just disgusting.

Hi Everyone, I'm having a hard time staying awake right now. Sooooo tired. I need caffiene! Phyl- Hope your knee and back get better soon. Candice-got your emails, beautiful voice, Love the songs, especially Autumn Leaves We went to Baton Rouge Country Fest yesterday, didn't get out the parking lot till after 12, didn't get home till after 2 am. Going back today, leaving in a few minutes at 2. Yesterday we saw Sugarland, and Tim McCraw. Today DH is coming with me, yesterday was DD. Today we will see Zack Brown then Kenny Chesney. It's the first time I have ever been to LSU stadium so I did not know what the seats I purchased were. We have to sit on bleachers in the freakin sun! The sun didn't go down till after 7 pm. YUCK!!!! I am sooooo sleepy, and I can't eat, don't know why my band is suddenly soooo tight, but every time I try to eat I puke. Fun, fun, fun! The river here is still high. Opening the spillway did not cause the flooding in the south that was expected. Unless the water just didn't get there yet, but I think it did. They have already started closing the spillway. Yesterday on the way to baton rouge we passed over the bonne carre' spillway where you can see the water from the river rushing into Lake Pontchartrain. It is fierce! and they opened it weeks ago! I am already sweating like a Heffer sitting in the house with the AC on, and I have to got back to bleachers in the sun. WTH was I thinking!!!!! Plus they search our damn bags to get in. A beer is 7 dollars!!! Margarita 15 dollars!!!!! A cold drink 5 dollars!!!! My lap band buddy came with me ( Candice u met her) she had food in her bag, and she told them she has medical problems, and the boy let her in. So today we take what the hell we want and we say, "We have medical problems" I'm taking water and protien shakes. I gotta go find my LB card in case they want proof. I will not get home till after 2 am, and I go gotta go to work tomorrow!!!!! I'm the only one not off, DAG NABBIT!!!!! We have some drama going on at work with some hateful people, Oh Lord I hate hateful people. TTFN I'm HUNGRY!!!!!! Maybe I can get my loving DH to chew some food for me. LOL

Hi Everybody, We're still dry here, the levees are holding. They say we are at our crest now, because the Morganza Spillway was opened up river. Copper is getting fixed tomorrow morning. We just took his food and water away. We haven't told him yet. Candice, good job only gaining 2 lbs. We have 4 more full days left, and exams next week. We had RIF (reduction in force) last year and will also have it this year. Plus my school is being reorganized due to poor test scores. Everyone has to reaply for their jobs. IDK what the hell will happen to me.

Hi Everybody, Janet- You are my idol! Linda- What accent, Ey? Ya'll all are welcome to come here, that's off course if we don't wash away. Which I pray we won't. The water is serious high in the river! They say it has not been this high since 1927. That is before my Mom was born. If's that's true, that have NO clue what it will be like, or if the levees are high enough. They will open the Morganza spillway maybe tomorrow. They just said on the news it hasn't been open in 45 years. Imagine the people that have moved in that area in 45 years, having no clue they were in harm's way. That spillway will be opened to avoid flooding New Orleans. That will let the river north of us empty some into the gulf which will flood the Houma area, so if this happens Monday we will start hearing about people close to home flooding. Houma is only an hour away. We have family and friends there.

Hi All, Congratulations Linda!! Janet, I'm not a Kid fan, well I wasn't before I saw him, but I was told he does a great show, and he DOES!!! He wasn't nasty. He asked us if he could say a curse word. He doesn't sing the FU song, that's Cee Lo Green. I love that song. If you haven't seen the video, look at it on utube, it's hilarious! He did sing a song about being 40 this year, it was hysterical. I'm gonna google to see if I can find it. The river is SCARY down here. It won't crest till the 23rd. I don't know how the hell they figure that out. It's gonna be bad. A lot of people are going to flood. I'm gonna get DH to go walk on the levee with me tomorrow to see it.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!!! The puppy is an Australian Terrier, I researched a lot before I got him. I wanted the same personality as my Westie, but not fur I had to cut. He is a little smaller that the Westie, and brownish red. Candice says almost the same color as my hair. Friday Jazz Fest was not the best day. Willie is getting old, 78, he doesn't really sing anymore, just talks his songs. We left early. I would have NOT walked out early on Tom. HELL NO!!! Today I went back with a friend. We were front row for Cowboy Mouth, then he had to leave to catch his flight back to Boston, so I stayed by myself at the Jazz Fest (can you believe that?) to see Kid Rock. A friend that has been to more concerts than you can count told me he was one of the best shows she's seen. He was GREAT!!!! He really put on a good show. Then I went to the gospel tent for a while, then the blue's tent for a while, then I left. I bought a bracelet with little dragonflies on it. One stabbed into my wrist, and I had to pull it out. OUCH!!! Today was a great day at the fest! I just started to go last year, and I think this is gonna be a yearly thing. I had a blast! I could not sleep last night, slept from about 2;30 To 5:30. I gotta go to bed. Back to work tomorrow. Oh, and now the puppy has diareha (I can't spell that shit, no pun intended) Lord knows what he ate this time. I have been walking all day, and jumping up and down, and rocking, I am sore!!!! But it was worth it!!!!

Hi Everyone, Janet- glad your test came out OK. Puppy still putting everything in his mouth. He pooped a wad of chewed up towel. I hope it all came out OK. I may have to make him stay in his kennel with no towel when I put him in there. What else can I put that he won't chew up? He's loco! ( It's Cinco de mayo) Saw Karri's post on FB, sounds like she's doing well. Candice- are you seeing any flooding? Record highs on the Mississippi, we have to open our spillway to avoid flooding. Predicting crest at 19 with spillway open. Our levees are built to protect to 20 feet. Going to Jazz Fest tomorrow to see Willie Nelson. I was gonna take a 1/2 day, but my boss asked me to go on a field trip to the fest with some students. So I'll go with them, and just stay there when they leave. A lot of schools are taking kids tomorrow. I hope they don't tick me off. Kids everywhere, yuck! I'll just hide under a tree till they leave. Willie comes on after 5. That dude that sings that country song, You shoulda seen it in color, comes on before Willie. I wanna see him too. I thought Montgomery Gentry sang that. But it's Jamey Johnson. I checked out some of his songs, he's good! I typed a message last night, but I couldn't finish cause bookit.com called me. I was waiting for a call, cause they screwed up my booking. They also charged me 417.00 for a booking modication. I said, "Ahhh What?????"nnI didn't modify my booking, you made my booking." I did it over the phone. WTH They said they will have to investigate that. So we'll see if they fixed it, or they can investigate me telling credit card company to deny payment. I was on the phone Sat. for 1 hour making the reservation. Last night, over 1 hour, trying to fix it. So I gotta go call them again, and see if they fixed it. Talk about a damn hot mess! Dis is Loco!

Tom looked great. In the words of my mother, " I wouldn't kick him outta bed." The AC was broken at school today. Thank god for windows and a small fan. I say good riddance to Osama. His sole purpose in life was, Death to Americans. He was PURE evil, and he spread it around as much as he could. He preached hate. He should be enjoying his virgins about now. Which goes to show you how asinine those people are. Virgins are not enjoyable, they don't know how to do anything. I'm going see my Mom. TTFN

Hi Everyone, We just got back from the Jazz Fest seeing Tom Jones. He is Awesome!!!!!! The weather was great, lots of big clouds, and wind so 87 didn't feel like 87. Serious detox, and diet starts tomorrow. I been partying all week. Karla- you have to google for the hats Fergie's daughter wore to the wedding. The laugh will get you through the day. Janet- we are staying at an all inclusive The Reef Playacar. The Riu Yucatan was another choice, but we went with smaller. I am looking at tours that go to Cenotes, the underground caves that you can snorkle in. I think we will also go to Coco Bongo, and some ruins. My friend went to Cancun last July, and she said the humidity was horrible. Oh well, that means no make up to have to deal with. I have to go force myself to go to sleep so I can make it back to work tomorrow. I have stayed up past 1 every night this week, which is usual for non work days. I am a night owl. I'm gonna have to take a xanex, or I'll be up all night. The puppy has pooped 3 times since we walked through the door, I hope he didn't eat something he shouldn't have. I did not have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn, the wedding played all day on every channel. It's still playing now. Alabama blew away, but the wedding is on every channel. Janet- I like the hats with brims too. Some of those hats, OMG what the hell were they thinking???? Fergie's daughter's hats, OMG they will never live that down. They looked like baffoons. Candice- YOU GOTTA COME BACK! You forgot a towel. I am going to the Jazz Fest tomorrow to see Tom Jones. It's my last day of vacation. I am very depressed about going back to work. Tom has a lot of cheering up to do. I hope his pipes are up to it. I just booked my family vacation for July. We are gonna go to Playa del Carmen.

I would like to get up to see the Royal Wedding. I am googled for the time, and it said, "At the buttcrack of dawn." Anyone know what time that is? Central time? I need to set my alarm clock. I miss Candice! Took DS to take his senior pics today. I get the proofs Wed. Janet- I just talked to a friend a few hours ago. He was in the hospital for 5 days, and they couldn't find what was wrong. He said his shins hurt first, then on to his joints, everything hurt, he was getting fever everynight to 103. They said his liver was also enlarged, but can't find what caused anything. He said he feels better, but his liver is still enlarged.

Hi Everyone, Candice and Peter left about an hour ago. They are headed west towards Baton Rouge. We had a FABULOUS time, and are partied out. They picked a great time to come, because I am off this week. DH was off Monday. Monday we went walk the trail in Jean Lafitte park, so they could see some of the swamp/ bayou land. Then we went to Oak Alley Plantation, then the French Quarter to Cafe Du Monde, then bar hopping and ate at Oceana Grill. Tuesday we went drive around the city a little to see the beautiful houses, then back to the Quarter bar hopping and ate at a hole in the wall that we love, Coops. We got to see numerous great bands. Every other bar on Bourbon had a great band playing. DD and her boyfriend met up with us Monday night, and DD came out with us last night. We danced, partied, drank, and had fabulous food. That's why it's so hard to diet around here. We always have a party somewhere. This weekend starts the Jazz Fest. The wind is also fierce here. This month has been terrible with the wind here. I was worried about Candice and Peter driving the camper in it. It really is blowing bad today with tornado watches north of us. They said they would take it slow. All of you are welcome to come on down any time you want, we have room! Karla sorry about your grade, I'd be P Oed too. I think I'm gonna take a nap, then begin detoxing.

Hi Everyone, It's been a long long time since I've posted. CANDICE IS HERE!!!!! We went to a crawfish boil at my friend's house today. The crawfish were great. We are going to see Oak Alley Plantation tomorrow. It was in the movie Interview with a Vampire. Then we will go to the French Quarter. Happy Easter Everyone. Linda, I hope you are feeling better.
