Thanks for all the posts on encouragement, they were very sweet. I am losing slow, but I am still very happy that I am losing. If I had not lost weight, I would not be getting in my pool. Even in my own backyard with a 6 foot fence, I would not have done it. Linda - Google: Ideas for wedding showers, OR, party games for wedding showers, OR, themes for wedding showers, OR use the word bridal in place of wedding. What ever you need, it's on the web for free. It's amazing! My friend liked cows when she got married, so everyone gave her cow crap. She then started to hate cows, and didn't want the crap, but felt obligated to use it. IMHO, if she has something she collects, do not let everyone know. When you collect something, the joy is in the memory of collecting it yourself. I was supposed to have surgery today. It would have been happening any minute. So I just remembered to say a little prayer for the reconstructive surgery person taking my place. As each day goes on, I am getting really nervous. I think I'm having plumbing problems, because of my nerves. Oh, whoa is me. Speaking of plumbing, The PS said that I have to take laxative after surgery because straining will cause capillaries to pop. Any brand suggestions? I'm trying stuff now. It's not working, but I'm thinking, it may be nerves.

anyone had a fill without fluroscopy?
mango24 replied to toofat4me's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The nurse does my fills. I have never had flouro. I only got a little each time. It didn't matter at first how much I wanted, the fills were set. I tell her what I can eat and she does the fill. The first few fills were like 1cc. then once it started getting tight they went down to .2 or less. Each time she filled, I would then drink water to make sure it went down properly. They are usually very careful with fills because tightness is weird. On my third fill, I could eat mushies on the 2nd day. The 3rd day it shut completely, and I couldn't swallow my spit. I had to have an unfill. By my 6th fill I was past that amount. -
Hey Everybody, CONGRATULATIONS KARRI !!!!!!! I went to get some unfill this morning before my surgery. She took out .4. I'm afraid I'll swell and won't be able to swallow. I was very tight. This month I averaged 800cals. a day, and exercised a lot. Now sit down for the rest... I lost.... Are you sitting? 3.5 pounds  Is this ridiculous slow or what? Hopefully, I'll lose at least 6lbs with surgery. Notice I took my ticker down, it depresses me.

My doctor was Thomas Lavin with Surgical Specialist. Whyweight website When I first read where your from, I was getting Larose confused with Laplace. I don't think I've ever been to Larose. My Father's family is in Thibodeaux. Mother is from Pierre Part, family now in Houma. -

Jess - my doctor gave me a diet to follow that allowed a small dinner, I think I only had to do liquids for the 2 days before surgery. I think my diet was only for 14 days. Where ya from? I'm on the Westbank. -
Top/blouse size after reduction ??
mango24 replied to maryrose's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi MaryRose, I'm scheduled for next Friday, 6/6. I am currently wearing some 1x's, but most are too big. I fit in a few extra larges, but some are too snug. It's hard to find any shirts that fit right now. I'll probably be able to buy new shirts before your surgery. I'll let you know what fits. -
Hello All, I have to share what I'm eating right now cause it's good. Shredded Romaine A scoop of Bruscetta from Sam's A little Feta A can of Bumble and Bumble Tuna with sundried tomato and basil, found at Walmart. It will probably last me all day.

Karri - If you're only eating 1800 cals a day and running as much as you do, you are going to continue losing weight. That is not enough cals to maintain. Now this is my own opinion - if you think you are supposed to live the rest of your life w/o a snickers that is not healthy. When you ate them and couldn't stop, did you also run marathons? You are not even close to the same person you were. You are now a person in complete charge of your weight. You will never be fat again. I went to my pre-op for surgery today. I told the doctor I want lipo on my love handles. I have always had them, no matter how small I get. I thought it would cost about 2500. Wrong O.K. you all are sworn to secrecy. It is almost 5000, and I paid it. I'm not telling DH. There goes our entire tax rebate. The dr's price is 2750 for an 1 1/2 of estimated work. Hospital 1500 for it, aneste..... 432.00. Everytime I fork over a cent for this body, I think look what I've done to myself. How did I let it come to this?

Janet - I opened a can this week, so if you need me to come kick some ass I'm in an ass kicking mode. Karri - Congratulations, If you are already in a four and you get a tummy tuck you're going to be invisible.

Steph - You'll feel better soon, The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow they'll be sun!! Salsa - Your going to kill yourself. I have clown clothes on today too. My shirt looks ridiculous. Peaches - Dat was a hoot!!! Janet - The dance class was so fun. It's a couple dance called the Jamaican named after a famous club that used to be in New Orleans. They teach us one new step every Thursday for 6 weeks. It's a dance club and the men dance with the girl's who come for lessons, and the ladies dance with the men taking lessons. I have BEEN wanting to do this and only did because I have lost weight. After the couple lessons, one of the ladies showed us 2 line dances. I did those too. Last year at this time, there is no way in hell I would have danced in front of people. That was hard, because I live to dance. I got the boogie fever. Here is something else I did today because I lost weight, if I was still very fat I would not have gotten out of my car. I went to pick up my son at school. As I was driving away, a truck was 2 cars in front of me. I saw a black lab puppy fall out the truck, appear to hit the back wheel, and start walking in front of CARS! The truck didn't see, the two cars in front of me had to see, almost hit the dog, and still didn't stop. I said, "Ahhhh, hell no I ain't watching this puppy die before my eyes." I stop, I am on a highway, all the cars coming out the school lined up behind me. I scream at my son to get in the back seat. I grab the dog and start shoving him in the back. Cars start honking. I don't give a crap, I've lost weight, and I'm saving a life!!!!! Thank God the dog had a tag with a number. A kid answers, I tell him the story. While I'm driving I try to flag down a truck coming back towards me that may be the truck. He doesn't see me. I bring the dog to a house with the kid. We are driving away and that truck pulls up, it was him, he was looking for his dog. Mission Accomplished, Life Safed! :cool2: However, the tension at work is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Last day he works. I won't have to see his face next week.

I just got home from work and my Wii Fitness was sitting on the front porch. In a plastic bag, ain't that sweet. Twilight- If you went to the link.....Hell Yeah I'm gonna do it, but I'm gonna do it in Mexico. On vacation, melt a bulge at a fraction of the American price then wander down to the beach and drink a artificially sweetened Pina Colada. Why don't we all go? It was on our local news last night, Weight loss Wed. Our local plastic surgeons are beginning test trails. No put to sleep, no hurt, no recover, NO WAY!!!! Yes I feel empowered, the person I called down was an ass today, and it didn't phase me. F... him, I'm the boss, and your gonna do your freakin job. I brought home work to help out the principal, so I gotta get busy, And me and hubby are beginning couple dance lessons today. Yippey! One more day with the hethens, I'm gonna miss some of my babies, well a lot. I gotta go buy a few cards. Can't find my debit card, kinda freakin out.

Yesterday was a day from hell. Remember a few days ago when I said a little prayer on here to help me keep biting my tongue until the end of school? I didn't make it. I had enough Monday, took matters into my own hands and went to speak to the top man that afternoon. Suffice it to say I wiped the word "Succor" off. I found it written across my face. Monday was the last day I will be taken advantage of on this job. So Tuesday morning the s...... hit the fan. And I didn't back down, and I won't. No more F.....ing me over. Hell NO!!!!!! I was emotionally exhausted yesterday, just physically drained and not backing down. When you right your right. The only bright spot yesterday, other than coming home to my loving family was this: UltraShape - The non-invasive fat reduction & body contouring solution Another bright spot I'm so emotional eating doesn't phase me. I can't swallow solids anyway. Yesterday when I got home, I just wanted to go to bed. I took my vitamins, a few sips of water, went lay down and fell asleep. A few minutes later, I woke up choking on slime. It came out my nose. Oh Yuck, that was a horrible feeling!!!!

Your price is very high. I had the surgery July 07 for 14,500 with a year of fills. New Orleans area Google: whyweight, that's my surgeons

mango24 replied to Apples2's topic in Rants & Raves
Apples - Please give your son a hug, and tell him that is a thank you from me and my family for everything he has done for the country that I was blessed to be born in. Thank God that their are people like him in this country that are willing to do what it takes to protect our safety and freedom. God Bless Him, and God Bless You for raising a fine young man. I pray God will give him whatever he needs to heal. -
Also, when I started having panic attacks I went to the library and got books about them. It helped me just to read that what was happening to me was common, and to read different philosophies on why they happen.

When I went for my pre surgery work up, I met the aneiste..ologist (sp?) Hell you know the guy who puts you to sleep. Well anyway he said I could take a Xanex if I was really nervous. One of the things I am terrified of is medication, so I was really afraid to be put to sleep. I can't really remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure he said to take it the morning before surgery. They'll tell you when you go for pre- admitting.
-
Benhangal - I have been on anti depressants for 17 years for panic attacks. I have an occasional attack now usually brought on by hormones, and usually in the middle of the night. My doctor gives me 30 xanex a year. 30 period!! He does this, because he knows I have to have them with me at all times because of the horrendous fear of a panic attack. He knows I don't take them. The reason I say this is because Xanex is a highly addictive drug that is not presribed to be taken on a continual basis. So one doctor is giving them to you, and another lapband doctor knows you take them continually. Unless the Xanex from your area is different from here I can't believe someone is prescribing you this. If this is what you are really doing, I think you should get your panic attacks controlled with the proper medication before you get a lap band.

I have a question for the girls who've said the've had a breast reduction. Should I order a compression bra?
-
Janet - I hate the wind too. Unless we are flying our stunts kites, but we don't do that much anymore. Yesterday I went swimming, the wind made it a little chilly. Phyl - Rust :cool2: Dat was a Hoot !!!! From now on I'm gonna say, "I'm gonna go lay by the pool awhile and rust." I think I shall rust a bit this afternoon. We are supposed to hit 90. Last full day of school. Hooray :thumbup: Lunch in 20minutes. My last lunch duty with these hethens!!!!!!

The Victoria's Secret catalogue just came today. Unfortunately for my daughter not me. Any who, they are in the cataloque.

I vote Metamucil. A teaspoon a day keeps me fine. It's a nightmare if I forget. And do not take it with any medication. It binds to the medicine and washes it right out of your system. I also like it because it gives me the fiber I am supposed to be getting everyday.
-
Phyl- That picture is gorgeous!!!! You look absolutely radiant! The grandkids are lovely too! Peaches - That was a hoot!! I didn't know what it was until the cooking channel. It's what Rachel Ray calls it. I say extra virgin olive oil.
-
CoolCrystal - 800cals a day is restriction. I eat, I puke! It is working at a lovely pace of 1.5 lbs a month. I want it to work faster!!!!! Eating 800cals or less and exercising, I should be melting at an alarming rate. Don't tell me to eat more calories, been there done that. This does not work the same for everyone.
