I like #1 the best. It is the most artistically pleasing one to me.

Doesn't anemia make you cold? You may need iron.

New Whey Liquid Protein or protein bullets?
mango24 replied to soniacan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I use them. I buy the 42grams and put half of one in a glass of something like Crystal Lite. If I mix it with a drink mix, I can drink it. Alone, they taste like crap, salty jello, icky poo. -
I agree that something sounds wrong. You should have restriction. I would insist on a barium test. I read a thread where one girl's lapband was never closed properly. If nothing's wrong don't worry, I have heard the bands hold more than what you think capacity is. Insist on fills untill you feel the restriction you want.
-
What do you mean about last fill at capacity?

I'm playing hookie from work. On Monday I prepared to be out today for a workshop. At the very end of the day, I found out the workshop is next Wed. not today. So everything was ready for me to be out, why not take advantage of the situation. Besides, I'm celebrating change.
-
Hey Everybody, what in the hell is going on? When this guy said CHANGE he meant it. Everything is changed!! I'm playing hookie, and now I'm afraid to go outside.

Hey Everybody, Phyl - You're doing great with your weight loss. Janet- Great compliment from the gym lady Steph-Lovely pups, my boys getting old, it makes me nervous, seems like we've always had him This year I finally fit in my old lady Halloween Costume. It's an orange polyester pants suit I got from good will 20 years ago. Now sit down for this cause you ain't gonna believe it. I also have orange patten leather shoes with a big orange flower on the front and an orange patten leather purse to match. Can you believe all from the good will, it's just to good to be true. I would love to meet the lady who sat down and made that Orange Pants Suit.

Phyl - Great news about your son! Didn't you show us a picture of the plane awhile back? My baby boy just left to go to his first dance, Homecoming. He looks so handsome. I got up this morning to bring him to get something to wear. Right before we leave, he tells me the girl's mom won't let her go cause she's sick. Then after noon, she decides she can go. So my daughter took him shopping. He got shoes that look so ridiculously big, it looked like me wearing my daddy's shoes. So my DH tells him to try on his wingtips. They fit pretty good, so he wore his Daddy's shoes. It's just too darling for words. Janet - Was she G....L....A.....M.......O..R........O....U....S,, glamorous, flouncy, flouncy, glamorous?
-
Steph - That's what I wonder. Is it just the age I'm at? Is it because our world is bigger? So many people dying, it's scarey. I'm scared that I become obsessed with praying or something will happen.
-
Janet, so happy to see you back. I am so sorry about your brother. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. My thoughts and prayers have been about death so much lately. Janet's brother was first. The same day my cousin's, husband died. This cousin is my Mom's oldest sister's daughter. My Mom has been really close to her since she took care of her Mom while she was aging. Yesterday, a co-worker and also a friend committed suicide. I have been friends with her and her husband for several years. She worked at another school. Her husband works with me. It was horrible. I'm sure it will be horrible for a long time.

crazy questions about constipation and such...
mango24 replied to MEJONES's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I go just about everyday. I drink a lot of water too. It doesn't matter how much water I get, that doesn't work for me. Metamucil is the only thing that helps me. Also, if I take any laxative like mom, it will make me more constipated the next time. So if I have to resort to a laxitive, I double up on the metamucil after. I juiced years ago. That definitely works. That works like Xenical; it causes leakage. Carrot with a little apple is some serious laxitive. -

To me the "get a lot of water" advice is a crock. It does NOTHING for me. I have to have a least a tsp of Metamucil daily, or I'm in big trouble. I also always have enemas handy. Nothing else works for me. -
For anyone needing the liquid protein bullets...
mango24 replied to crzytchr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get the 42 and drink half of it with a diet drink powder. I save the other half in the fridge. I just had the fruit punch with Walmart's Great Value Cherry Limeade powder. I have also had the orange with orange drink powder. They are quite gross straight. They taste like salty jello to me. -
I've been taking the capsules. I tested them to see how fast they dissolve. Hold one in your mouth with some water. Mine popped fast. I have the liquid, but it is 70cals a tablespoon. That's too high. Fish Oil for migranes, wow. It really is a miracle supplement. Good for joints, spine, PMS, heart, now migranes. Wow! However, my Flintstones chewables have changed to a dark color and taste like crap!

Steph - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Janet - Can't wait to see the commercial. WoW!! Dionne- I talked to my friend in Kingwood yesterday. She lost power for 2 weeks. That's a nightmare. We only lost power for a week for Katrina.

I felt better the next day. It took a couple of days for the ear pain to go away.
-
Hello, I just got a pool this summer. I got a painful earache. I even started to have congestion in my head and phlegm. YUCK. I felt bad. I put alcohol in my ear and took a nap with it in. For the next couple of days, I put alcohol in my ears at least twice a day. It worked. I didn't have to go to the doctor. I was amazed.

Just checking in, Hi Everybody, Steph - WOW, that is a big freaking deal!!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!! :bolt::thumbup::tt1: Salsa - Sorry about your MIL

Hello Everyone, I'm just checking in, I'm still here hating my freakin job. I'ts only Sept. I hope I make it. Non stop yesterday, it was unbelievable. 2 fights plus everything else. I ate my lunch at 3:00. Steph, the last time I had a sinus infection it was not as bad as yours, and I felt like death. Hope your feeling better.

OOOHHHH WWEEEEE Honey Chile You look fantastic!!!!! I am so freakin jealous!!! I love all the outfits. If I had to choose one, which is very hard, I think I choose the first picture on the 3rd set. The short black jacket thingy, with the print black shirt, and the white pants.

Congratulations on all the good news everyone. Hate writing in this color and size, but I can't change the font again. It must be this computer. Congratulations Janet, and I also loved the green dress. We got a day off of school today. Ike gave us some windy weather and we lost power all over so they cancelled schools everywhere. Houstons gonna get it bad. I hope they don't have too much damage.

Janet - My aunt broke her foot exactly the same way. My daughter had a friend in her senior year that did the same thing at school too. If your foot hurts you better go to the doctor, it could be broken, hairline fracture, and you don't know it. Walking on it will only make it worse. Donna - Good luck, if your staying make sure you get enough food and water. You'll probably be out of power for quite a while. The wind here right now is serious with gust to at least 40. The clouds are flying by straight to the west. We actually have people here who lost power today and we're only getting outer bands. Our lower areas are already flooding. They just showed a fishing town whiped out by Gustav on the news. This poor old man who has worked his entire life as a fisherman and oyster fisher lost everything. The man is poor as dirt, but proud, and worked everyday for what he had. He has nothing now. He was crying. FEMA is not there to help him. It looks like a 3rd world country where he is. Then you think about all the worthless pieces of shit that never worked a day in their freakin lives that get everything free from the damn government. I'm just going to bed tonight after a day of dealing with the trash in my school, they are children who had no chance because they are raised by worthless trash, who were raised by worthless trash. And this is what our government pays to breed, while this poor man who worked like a dog everyday of his life now has nothing. But don't forget our candidates for president have promised change. Change it probably gonna happen too, and monkeys are probably gonna fly outta my ass.

My tummy is a disaster. It's always been my problem area. I had a mummy tummy long before I was even a mummy. My future plans are to get a tummy tuck so I'm not too worried about that. Still, it's fat. My inner thighs are floppy. I'm probably going to need surgery to fix those because they're saggy and no amount of exercise is going to do anything about that. I'm okay with my face. I am fortunate that that's usually the first place I lose weight. I worry though that if I lose too much weight I'll start to look gaunt and my eyes will look hollow and saggy with dark circles under them. I'm okay with my hands, they're not what I would call pretty, but I'm not worried about them. My feet I wish I could fix. They're short, but I have high arches, so it means I can't wear the really pretty sandals and stuff because my feet just won't go in them. They appear fat and wide. The ones that fit around my feet are an inch or two too long. When I read this, I started to imagine my hubby talking about himself like this. Do you think men ever think of this? Why are women cursed with being so critical? Why do we feel we have to be perfect or we're not good enough? And who the hell told us what perfect is supposed to be? What depresses me now is seeing myself when I try on clothes. Sure I lost weight but how in the hell did I let myself go? Why did I stretch my skin out so far? I feel I will always be sad about it because I will never get that 20 year old body back. Steph - You look great hun!! I would worry about being too skinny if someone can read the paper between your thighs. Phyl - What da hell? Your weight loss is fantastic. Snap outta it Candice - Congrats on the new SIL2B
