My friend asked me to join facebook, so I signed up today. I don't think I'll have time to participate the way she wants me too. But at least I'll look at her page. Now that ya'll all are talking about facebook I'm thinking ya'll are gonna move over there and dump me. I'm already depressed today, now I got more worries. So on to a funnie. This afternoon I asked DH to come play Wii with me. So he says, "You can play with my Wii." Smart Ass!

We don't have samples at Target. Is it a super Target? Cabbage and blackeye peas together. Yuck, Can that actually be done? I cooked peas with ham hocks, and smothered the cabbage with some ham cubes.

Hello Everyone, Me and DH stayed home NY eve. We went outside at midnight to watch the fireworks. The people a few doors down popped fireworks like Disney World. They had a stack of garbage 8' wide by 6' high when they were done. They musta spent a fortune. I cooked my cabbage and black eye peas yesterday. DH's mama taught me that. My family never did that before DH came along. I've been painting on my Santa face for several days. I hope I finish today. Janet- don't forget if you take down your decorations before Jan. 6th, King's Day, I will egg your house.

I'm thinking about getting a used treadmill on Craig's list. I still haven't started painting Santa. I don't know if it's harmones are what, but I'm dealing with a little depression this Christmas.

No, I can't eat bread. DH got an oyster poboy. DS got a seafood muffalata, with fish, shrimp, and oysters. I got a shrimp salad and ate a few of the shrimp. I am terrified of getting stuck in a crowded resturant. They had a line for the bathroom. We went to the French Quarter 2 weeks ago and ate at a hole in the wall. I had a few fried oysters and they were devine.

Hello Everyone, We spent the day in the French Quarter yesterday. I wanted to see the Ritz and have hot buttered rum. So we go to the bar, and I say we would like a hot br but we'd like to share cause we don't know if we'll like it. That was code for..... we are poor white trash sitting in the Ritz and we know damn well this is gonna cost. The waiter says...no you don't want that, it's not good, the worst drink in the world. So he talks us into some tea with Grand Mar.... however you spell it. Me and DH shared one, and DD and her beau shared one. So I pull out 20 to pay and I'm thinking this ain't gonna be enough. 27 dollars. We coulda bought a bottle of Grand Mar..... for 30. Well that was something to cross off the bucket list. Then we go eat at Johnny's, voted best poboys in town. They only take Cash. Good thing I brought cash. If you ever come to NO, some of the famous establishments only take cash. Who ever heard of such a thing. I mean a debit card is cash. Duh!!!!! Weather yesterday, lower 80's and high humidity, frizzy hair Today- jacket weather 58 Anyway, yesterday was a fun day with the family The gingerbread house at Harrahs was nicer than the one at the Ritz. We also walked through Saks, once again feeling like white trash. I coulda got a pair of dancing shoes with real leather soles on sale for 358.00. I passed, I'll buy the family food instead. Well I guess I'll go finish painting the Santa Claus I starte last Christmas.

You have lost a lot of weight in 6 months. You're doing great. You just need to get a fill to tighten you back up. You were too tight, and it sounds like they took out too much. Once you start eating sweets, it's hard to stop. Sugar is an evil drug. It's Christmas, sweets are EVERYWHERE!! I bet you they may even be under my pillow. AHHHHH

Hello Everyone, I'm using my daughter's laptop right now cause mine is infected. I have spyware guard, a nasty malware, on it and I can't get it off. It's a pain in the @#*! It keeps reinstalling itself. I got my ultrasound for gallstones this morning. My rightside hurt just when she lightly pressed on it. If it's not stones it's something, cause I'm having some problems. Janet- You asked about the weightloss. The scale finally moved last week. It had not pudged for over 5 months. I think the weight loss is starting again. Praise the Lord. I haven't gone for a fill because it has gotten tighter. I'm cleaning the house today, and finishing the wrapping. Did ya'll ever notice when I type "I'M" I forget to put 'm a lot?

Hi Everybody, Computer not letting me change fonts again. Yesterday me and DH spent the day in the French Quarter. It was lovely. N.O. is a beautiful city. We went to Christmas shop. I got nothing, except a few things for me, as usual. Then we went to the mall. I got one thing for DS. One thing DD wanted was sold out. I freakin out, I have so many presents to get. I can't think of, nor find anything. I'm overwelmed. I can't remember a Christmas were I couldn't find presents. We had light jackets on yesterday. Today, I had to put on the AC. I cooked one of my pumpkins from Halloween. My brother was over, and he kids liked it. So I gave them some. So I chopped up the other big pumpking I had and cooked that one. It just finished. Tomorrow I have a Dr. appointment. I think I have gallstones. The pain started about a month. ago. I thought it was my boob. Then it moved to my back. Now my right shoulder blade on my back hurts all the time. I have had to take a sip of my Loritab everynight to sleep. I'm off to take a bath and wrap the 2 presents I have. Lord this Christmas shopping is stressing me.

It snowed today!!!! It was fantastic. We were at school. The kids were amazed. It snowed hard for quite awhile. The temp wasn't freezing, but it was so much snow it stayed on the ground for over an hour. It was beautiful. Two days ago, we slept with the AC. Earliest snow on record in N.O. Over 100 kids checked out of school today. It was great!!!

Hello Everyone, Loved the Pictures. Janet, your mom and aunt's dresses were gorgeous, that is my favorite dress era. I Love Lucy clothes, Beautiful! Today was a nightmare at work. 2 fights first thing this morning, then another before lunch, then a darling little boy got succor punched by a psycho at lunch. I got to work at 6:48, I left at 5:00, and I never stopped. Did I mention I hate my freakin job. It is impossible for 1 person to do this job. The kids have been crazy. We have had fights daily since last week. I had the AC on last night, tonight the heater. It rained all day, it's still raining. BUT, ELF's on USA, if you haven't see it, you must watch it. I love it. I could watch it over and over.

Hi Everyone, I've been decorating, I still have Christmas boxes everywhere. It's a fright. Christmas lights are a pain in the @#%*! Wish I coulda been at Janets. How fun for ya'll. Heard some of ya'll talking bout the Wii. I want We Cheer, and DS wants the new paintball game. So I was gonna get them on Amazon. If you sign up for an Amazon credit card, you get 30 dollars off. I don't wanna do it on wireless, so I'll have to wait till Monday at work. I hope they still have it. That's a great deal. I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet. I'm starting to panic a little. Alan Jackson tribute is on CMT right now. P.S. - I'm probably gonna get pompoms too.

Hi Everyone, I still downing Nyquil down here. I stayed home from school Mon and Tues. Today was my first day back, and I hacked the day away there. I slept all day Mon. and Tues. Today, I got mildly dizzy a few times at school today. Some kid puked in the hall first thing this morning. Everyone's sick around here. YUCK!! I hate going to sleep at night and fighting the hacking. UGGGG I need a lung brush.

Me and DD spent yesterday at the mall. We got some Christmas presents. However, they are all for me and her. We didn't get any presents done for anyone else. How selfish is that? Oh well. DS almost went with us, thank goodness he backed out. He woulda ruined the shopping extravaganza..... "I'm ready to go, I wanna go, get me outta here, I'm gonna kill myself, I'm gonna run away, and on and on...... The amount of people at the mall was unbelievable. It's hard to believe the economy is falling apart. When stressed, SHOP! I have the Christmas tree half up. I gotta clean the dirty house. One and a half more days and I have to go back to the bowels of hell. I don't wanna go. AAAHHHHHHH DH just walked in, and I gotta go dry my hair. Talk to ya'll later. TTFN

Candice- Snow- Eeeek, me no do snow I have been in pain for about two weeks now, I guess I'll have to break down and go to the doc. Which doc is the problem. Last week my right boob near my underarm hurt bad. I had to take Tylenol daily. This week the pain has switched to my right shoulder blade on my back. It feels like someone is sticking an ice pick in me, and the skin is numb. Weird, why would the skin be numb. I had lipo much below that area, and the skin was numb. That areas not numb anymore.

Hi Everyone, I've been lurking. Phyl- Your stories are a hoot. You also have a lot more patience than me. If hubby told me something about a snack I'd say something like, "I'm sure I'll work off the calories trying to get my foot out your ass." If DH dared to count my calories he'd wake up with something super glued to his leg. I keep him scared, he knows better. I'ze Crazy!!!!! And someone pisses me off every single day One of todays gems.... This morning I had some crazy ass parent come to my office and go off for 20 minutes about having to pay for an ID. She went on continually about being poor, and don't everyone know LA is poor, and she can't afford no 5 dollar ID. So when she walked out, I asked her kid how much her shoes costs. She said 80 bucks, I said my kids are 40. Of course that was politically incorrect cause you can't say crap like that. Lord knows you can't hold parent accountable. So then she went off some more. So I called the cop. How sad is it to have to work in a school that has to have a cop.
