My surgery is September 1st. For some odd reason, no one talked to me about the two week pre-op diet. I just happened to call in two days ago to ask about another concern and they asked me how I was doing on my two week diet. I had no idea what they werre talking about. They called the surgeon and he said if I stay totally on protein drinks only for the following 6 days he could still do the surgery. I will say I have lost 60 pounds on my own, so I know my liver has to be smaller than it was. Does anyone know if I can drink something like Crystal Light as well as the water along with my 5 protein shakes a day?
