Welcome Monet. I can't help you with the fill problems (not banded yet). You have come to the right place for support though. Everyone here is very suportive and always willing to help. Try posting over on the lapband support board, maybe someone will see you. I wish you the best of luck finding proper restriction.

Good evening Girls . Thanks Lady. I know 4lbs isn't alot but its moving my ticker alittle. I know the lazy feeling. Its usually all I can do to get off the sofa after work. I have forced myself to walk the last 2 evenings. I really do feel so much better when I exercise, its just getting started thats the hard part. Hey Sue, my dad taught me how to use power tools, so I think I can build us a bigger bench if we need it. WE ARE GETTING ON THAT BENCH!!!!! Any news yet about your paper work? I know its just been a few days, but sure do hope it goes quick for ya. Debbie, Good for you only having one piece of that cake . I have actually made a chocolate cake and eaten the entire thing by myself in less than 2 days just because it was there and I couldn't stop. I haven't done that in such a long time (thank God) but I have done it. I have always had issues with carby foods. Not so much super sweet, just cakes (no icing) and breads. I guess my days of stuffing myself with those things are almost over :nervous. Hey Dorothy, You haven't been around for a couple days...... everything going ok? I'm going to take my mom to the Backwoods Fest in Thornville tomorrow. They have some of the coolest hand made crafts and MAN OH MAN do they have some really good food.... soup beans and corn bread, kettle corn, beef stew, and the list goes on & on. I am gonna need some strong will power and a few prayers to get through the day. I hope you all have a blessed Friday :rainbow:

Sue, I know the out of control feeling. When I quit smoking I gained 22 lbs in just a couple months. I was eating everytime I wanted to smoke. I felt like I had gone crazy. Hang in there, we will be joining Debbie and Lady on the losers bench pretty soon.

Welcome. Keep in mind that not everyones experience is the same and most people do great with the band. Don't be afraid to ask specific questions if something is concerning you, just about everyone here is friendly and willing to offer their help. I wish you the best of luck in your decision.

Good afternoon girls!! I had my weigh in with my PCP this morning. I lost 4.7lbs in 2 weeks. Not a huge amount, and I would say it was water weight, but I'll take it . I have to get back to work, but wanted to share that tiny victory :lost4lbs:122 to go:omg:

Debbie, thank you for your kind words. You are so right, I have a great life. I know I'm blessed. Not much longer and I'll be on the losers bench with you guys. Sue... :clap2: I'm so happy for you. You are right, one step closer. But for now we wait again :rolleyes Your cookout sounds like a blast. Isn't it fun to just be silly and play in the rain?? Dorothy, it sounds like you have been through the mill with those spurs. Has your dr suggested having them removed? My SIL had hers removed and she said she wished she had done it long ago. I don't suffer that bad with mine, just when I ware "girlie" shoes. I have to say though that the older I get, the more I tend to choose comfort over looking cute and girlie:girl:. I wonder if it will be any better once you start losing weight. I see my PCP tomorrow for my monthly weigh in. I'm praying for a loss. I have not cheated even though I wanted chocolate bad enough to take it from one of my babies! I'm off to bed now. I hope you all have a blessed day!

Debbie, you almost made me cry! I feel like being over weight has stopped me from doing so many things. I want to be able to get down in the floor and play with my grandbabies, and I just don't have the energy. I want to put out flowers in front of our house, but there is no way my knees will allow that. I want to be able to get on my knees to clean my house, but lets just say that the corners are alittle dusty. My DH is very active and loves to ride bikes and swim, but I refuse to even think about getting on a bike right now, and we are going to get an in ground pool next spring because I refuse to even consider going to a public pool. That has really limited the things we do together and it bothers me so much. I now have hope for a much brighter future. (we're still getting the pool though ) Dorothy, The YWCA is a great place to join. When I was a kid my mom was a member and we would swim there every weekend in the winter. I know your pain with the spurs:eek:. OMG do they hurt. I notice mine tends to hurt more when I ware flip flops (my fave shoes!). Lady Q T, Girl thanks for the prayers!! I knew someone was calling my name out cause only God could stop me from eating that food yesterday. TOM just about gets me every month. I will keep praying for you if you will for me. Sue, your count down is almost over!!!! Sue.......1 day till 1st class (somebody say:amen:) Angie....2 classes down, 5 to go:whoo: Hope everyone has a blessed Monday!

    Just beginning....questions

WELCOME to LBT. I'm not banded yet, but I did my sleep study already. I spent 2 nights at the clinic. Both nights they hooked up to a machine to see if I was breathing normally or if I would stop breathing in my sleep. 1st night was without a cpap machine, and they said I stopped breathing 10 times an hour. 2nd night was with the machine. I didn't stop breathing one time. I can honestly say I have not felt more rested in years after the night with the machine. I now have my machine at home and use it every night. It took alittle time to get used to having a mask on my face, but it really isn't that bad. Good luck!!

Sue.....2 days till 1st class:whoo: Angie...2 classes done, 5 to go:clap2: Morning girls! :welcome: Dorothy. So nice to meet you. As Lady Q has already told you this is a great little group. Please feel free to jump right in and make yourself at home. We'll just call you :bandit . LOL!! Lady, I did think you were seeing things.:laugh I went back though the whole thread and couldn't find anyone new :Banane20:. LOL!!! How are you girls doing with restriction now?? I read on another thread that sometimes it takes a couple days for you to actually feel the effects of a fill. Debbie, almost 50lbs?!?! Girlie you rock . Hey Sue.....almost time for your class!! I'm doing good with my "jump start". I hate the sugar with draws though. :Banane20: They only lasted 2 days, but OMG my head hurt!!! :dizzy: Not sure if I've lost anything yet. I have an appointment with my PCP on Tue. for my monthly weigh in. My family is going to be here today to watch the game. (DH and I have direct tv) This means we will have about 20 people here and good carby food of every kind. My family knows how to cook and boy do we know how to eat! I'm usually fine with all that, but I am having some major PMS right now and the only thing that will help is chocolate. SOMEBODY PLEASE PRAY:pray:. Everyone have a great afternoon. :cheer2::cheer2:GO BUCKS:cheer2::cheer2:

    starting the process

:welcome: I'm waiting to be banded myself. My dietician has suggested that I start eating like a banded person now (just larger portions). I have to get 63g of protein a day, no drinking with meals or for 30 min. after, chew every bite at least 30 times, and eat with toddler fork and spoon. The only thing I'm having issues with is not drinking with my meals. It is getting easier though. Ang
