Hey livn4thm :welcome:. I'm in Ohio and doing my 6 months dietician visits now. I did 6 months supervised diet with my PCP and then the insurance told me this . The center I am using has a dietican on staff so I just went with her. I did have to pay $200.00 out of pocket but it really is worth every penny. I have 2 months down and 4 to go. Good luck

Hey girls, I'm up late and thought I would check in. I had my appt with Katie Tue. I asked her about the difference in band sizes. She said it depends on the size of your stomach which band size you get. Currently Dr. Vig uses a 4cc (holds 4cc of fluid) and 10 cc (holds 10cc of fluid). She said that the Dr. might give a fill of .5cc to 1cc for a 4cc band and with the 10cc band he might give 2cc to 2.5cc. In the end it all works out the same......just depends on the size of the stomach. Sue, Hon if I could I would give you a hug right now:hug:. I am praying that this gets worked out NOW. There must be something that can be done....maybe a 3 way call?? Ok, now here is my major rant ....after working my butt off, keeping my carbs below 20, walking 45 minutes a day, passing on the cake that I love so much...........I have some how managed to gain back the 6.7lbs I lost and added more to to it!!!!!!!:think I have been so sad for 2 days. I really dont understand whats going on here. TOM isn't for 2 weeks, and I have been taking a Water pill for over a week now. I have NEVER been this big NEVER. Seems the harder I try the further behind I get. :frusty: Just wondering if the band will even work for me?:cry

Tracy.... I just love you. I was a lurker on LCF forever and saw your posts about wanting to be banded. I was considering the band myself and followed you here. I have finished my 3rd of 7 monthly dietician visits and I pray I get a date sometime in Feb. You are a huge inspiration to me (Ok, now I sound like a stalker..... ) Anyway, you may be able to help this employee. God knows the crap we have to go through to get this tool. Rastis100- Crystal Light is a mix you add to water to flavor it. It comes in all kinds of flavors, ice tea, lemonaide, fruit punch and on and on. Very good.

Lady.... I'm so glad you and Debbie share with us. I want to know it all. I really do. Please don't feel like you cant share those things. I have read all the sorted posts on this board and know that some of them will more than likely happen to me (PB & sliming) but I am more than willing to take the bad with the good. Please post everything.....I have a need to know it all.

(should have been last week, but got rescheduled) I am kind of glad because we are going on a cruise the first week of Feb. and I guess its the last time I get to eat like a horse:hungry:!! :ranger: Morning ladies. I hope you are all having a good weekend this far. I woke up early and started my laundry and thought I would check in. I think I may be addicted to this board. I cant wait to see if there is anything new My panthers won and I'm very happy about that :clap2:. I love going to the games, it gives me such a warm and comforting feeling. I see people I have known most of my life......very small and tight knit town. I think I forgot to mention that my appt. with the dietician had to be rescheduled for next week:pout:. I feel like it is taking for ever (even though its only been 6 months) I know some people had to wait for a year or more :woot: I would just die. Debbie, it's great that you are loving your life right now :love: Good for you. I'm sure its going to get even better as the pounds continue to drop off. That being said, from what I have been reading, most people really start feeling good restriction after their second fill. I hope that's the case for you. Great info. My DD gets a runny nose when she's full, and she isn't even banded......strange how the body works.

Hey girls, I have been so busy with work that I haven't posted for awhile. :ranger: I hope everyone had a great weekend. My oldest grandson came to visit. He's 2 and the cutest little man that ever lived! He is starting to put 2 and 3 words together now. He said "Memaw, get cuppie NOW." Even though I thought he was being demanding I was so proud of him. I thank God everyday for my babies (and I thank God that they get to go home to their mommas after a few hours ) Sue.... I am having all kinds of emotions. I am so afraid that I will be the one that loses like 10lbs in a year and then the weight loss stops. I'm worried that I wont know when I'm full, over eat and hurt my band. What If I fail again??? :cry On the other hand, I am about to get a tool thats really gonna change my life forever. I'm not going to have to deal with that out of control feeling anymore. I struggled for years (early 20's) with bulimia, because I needed to "control" something.... now I can truly let that go. We are going to be fine I just know it. Debbie.... you really are an inspiration to me. :hug: You always have supportive words for us babies. :baby: Thanks!! Lady....When we moved into our new house this past Jan. I gave all my "skinny" jeans to my DDIL. I wish now that I had kept some of them. I love to shop though, and LOVE getting a bargain. I go to Reynoldsburg about 2x a month and shop at Just Plus on Brice Rd. Its a consignment/thrift shop and they have sizes lg-7x. Last week I got a pair of Liz Claiborne jeans for $5.99. BTW...how awesome for you not having to get an entree!! Look at the $ thats being saved!! Dorothy, How are ya doing?? I know the time seems to drag on when your in the "pre" phase. I feel like I have been waiting forever! I do see the end around the corner though. I have another nutrition class tomorrow!!!! :clap2: 3 down 4 to go!!!!

My doctor has me keep a daily food diary. He wants me to be eating 1500 cal/day and 64g of protien/day. He wants me to do some sort of exercise everyday as well. He is an awesome doc... more like a family friend and he knows the struggles I have had with my weight over the years. Good luck hon.
