Morning Girls, I'm off to see the deitician today..... I'm over the 1/2 way mark and so happy about that. Nothing really new to report on my end, just wanted to say morning. :ranger: Lady, you can choose the location and time. I'm fairly flexable..... though I am from the Newark/Heath area, getting to Polaris isn't a problem as long as I have directions. (BTW, I lived in Reynoldsburg years ago with my ex-husband.) Don't let the red tape get you down, its gonna happen, just keep your head up and know that the end is in sight. Sue.....WHERE ARE YOU MY FRIEND? Sue......ugghh!! the waiting, I really think we should get some sort of award for actually surviving this waiting game :first:. I have my 4th of 7 dietician visits this Tue, then another one in 2 weeks. I have passed the 1/2 way mark, and have been trying to focus on other things to pass the time. My dd and dgd just moved out, and I am redoing those bedrooms. (as I type I am in what is formerly known as the babies room and is now my office/workout room) My weight just keeps going up. I have been on a strong dose of steroids, and I have had some major edema in my legs and feet. I am taking lasix now and some of the edema is letting up (at least I can get a pair of shoes on now, I have been in my flip flops and boy have my toes been cold) I have been really trying to stay on plan, but I am just not getting in the walking or exercise that I was before. I will be happy when this issue is resolved and I can get on with my life. Special K..... It sounds like you are doing all the right things to get the ball rolling. I agree with Lady though, get your psych evaluation set up now, and any other requirements that your insurance company my require. I should be getting banded this month, but found out my insurance co. required 6 months dietician visits!!!! :eek: Oh well, I will be banded after I get back from vacation in February....:pray:I pray. Thank you Lady for the count down :faint: We are having a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom next Saturday (after the game) about 70 people have sent a rsvp, so I have been really busy getting that together.....Thank the Lord my mom does Thanksgiving at her house cause I don't know that I would be able to get it all done. Usually 40-50 family members show up for ANY holiday at my moms....God love her, she so enjoys having everyone in. We eat like horses, play games, eat like horses, watch football, did I say we eat like horses?? I wonder could this be why I'm so fat??? BTW Lady.......:woot:WAY TO GO!!!!! 15lbs is great!!!!!!! You and Debbie are doing so good. I would really love to have lunch or coffee or what ever. Just give me the word..... and directions :nervous I am gonna hit the shower and get ready for a long day of shopping.... Wal-Mart, GFS for the birthday party, fashion Bug (trying to find things in a LARGER size to take on the cruise in Feb.) and then try to be home by 3 for kick off I wonder if it can be done??? Deb....Try "NourishHair" from GNC. It works wonders. I lose hair d/t hormonal inbalances. It took about a month, but I have really nice hair now. BTW...thats what I am reading causes the hair loss.. hormones being released from the fat. Its worth a try. Sue.... whats the good news??? Is sleep apnea enough to get you approved? My fingers are crossed for ya sister. Dorothy... Hey, hows things going?? Lady... How are you and your family doing?? Your family has been heavy on my heart. I know the pain of losing someone close to you. I lost my dad 2 years ago, then his brother died very suddenly (police came to say they found him dead in his work truck...his heart) The day after his funeral, my dads sister died of cancer. This was all in 10 months. Thank God we had the assurance of their salvation. That really is the only thing that kept me going. You and your family are in my prayers:girl_hug:

Hey Ladies!!! I have been so busy with work and dealing with some health issues that I haven't had time to post in along time, but I think about you guys all the time.... Lady...I am so sorry to hear about your Brother-N-Law. I will keep your family in my prayers. Sue....Bad news is good news!!!! I got my C-Pap machine about 2 1/2 months ago and I don't think I could live without it now. I actually feel like I am getting real sleep now. You and I will be in band land in no time. Debbie....I'm glad to hear things are moving in the right direction for you. I wish I could have been with you at the QVC store.... I buy tons of jewlery from them. Where is that store?? I am feeling a road trip coming on. I promise I will try to find more time to check in with everyone. I really do miss you guys.

Hey HunterCol, I am in my 3rd month of supervised diet and dietician visits. DH and I have a cruise planned for the first week of Feb. so I hope to get the liquid diet rolling right after we get back.

Sue, I agree with Debbie, Don't give up yet! Fight, you have nothing to lose at this point. What are they saying you have to have to qualify??

Hey girls! I would be up for a support group. I'm in the Newark/Heath area. I am being banded at the Barix Clinic in Groveport and they offer a support group.... but they do tend to favor GB. They said they are planning on doing a group just for banders, if they do I will let you know. My sister is going to be banded as well. She is just starting the process and will be banded at OSU. Ok....Where is everyone???? I had a really busy weekend. DH and I went to his awards banquet at Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark for work on Sat. Lots of fun. We had a great dinner under the big tent then went inside for casino night. DH and I don't gamble, so it made it that much more fun. They gave everyone 10,000.00 in fake money and we were able to just blow it. We played Black Jack and its a good thing I don't gamble....LOST IT ALL!!! DH ended up with 260,000.00!!! After church on Sun. we headed for Hocking Hills, there is a craft mart there that I have been wanting to go to. It was so hot, but we still had a great time. The leaves haven't really changed yet, but still very pretty there. I have been checking out the posts on the Cosmetic Surgery thread. Do you guys plan on anything after you reach goal? I'm thinking I'm gonna need something done.... TT maybe. If I had it my way I would have a boob job too. DH thinks I'm being silly, but my breasts are 2 totally different sizes, and very tiny. The right is an A and the left is a B. I'm really not into vanity, but it would be so nice to have a shirt or dress fit right. Sue, any news yet? I am praying they reconsider. Good Morning Girls!! Debbie, I think you are doing the right thing by getting back out there in the dating game. I must have missed what happened between you and your old BF, but IMHO its best to shake the dust off and just move on. After being married 13yrs, my ex-husband just walked in one day and said he wasn't happy and was leaving. No warning. I was totally side swiped. He left that night and I packed all his stuff the next day and had it waiting for him to pick up. Don't get me wrong, I did pitch one nasty fit when he was telling me he was leaving, and it hurt for along time, but I wasn't giving him anymore power over me then I already had. I decided to shake the dust off and move on. MOVE ON MY FRIEND.....MOVE ON. Sue, Don't give up hon. If your Dr. is talking with them I'm sure they will see the light. I would think that a BMI of 37 and high blood pressure would be enough. My ins. requires a BMI of 35 and one co-morbidity, of course thats my insurance co. If all else fails, gain a couple pounds and try again. I know that I could get flamed on the main board for that, but you have to do what you have to do sometimes..... just a thought. Lady, Sometimes things happen and we don't fully understand why at the time. One of my fave scriptures is Romans 8:28. How very true is that?? Big day today girls so I have to get on the ball. Hey Juli, I'm in Heath, just east of Columbus. I am waiting to be banded....still have 4 dietician visits to go.

Evening everyone. I have been way to busy to be around much the last few days. Debbie, glad to hear you had a good time at the Octoberfest. I would love to attend some of the events in Columbus. DH and I usually go to the Sweet Corn Fest. in Millersport and we go to the county fairs (we are such country folk) and the pumpkin show is just around the corner. I love country crafts and OMG the food is so good . Lady, DH and I talked about going to the air show last weekend, well, DH talked and talked about going but our nephews only turn 14 once in their lives! I would love to be a "house wife" God is so good and he works things out just the way they are supposed to be. I think you are doing great with your weight loss. You have lost 35lbs in just over 2 months???? You are doing great. Sue.....I agree with Lady. Call Charlene ASAP. Don't give up yet . Dorothy!!! COME OUT, COME OUT, WHERE EVER YOU ARE! Deb....you are so right. I am so happy that I can come here and let it all out. I know that all of you are going through/have been through the same things I am going through. I love that I can say I WEIGH 280LBS. I have never been able to say that to anyone....including my DH. I don't feel like I am being judged for my decision to have surgery......even my step daughter thinks I'm taking the easy way out and has even said so. She lost 25lbs after having my granddaughter and thinks everyone should be able to lose weight by cutting back and exercising. You guys understand! You have been there. I love hearing what you and Lady are going through because it lets me know what to expect in the near future. I feel a kinship of sorts with you ladies and I even tell my DH whats going on with you. For example..... he was just as upset as I was when he heard what poor Sue is going through with the insurance company, and he is very interested in your new bike Debbie. I am so happy that I found you guys. I have never been to the Octoberfest. I hear they have great music and food though. Let us know how it went.....Have a great time. I am getting ready to head to my twin nephews birthday party. They are 14 and could care less about the party.....they want the money and then will retire to the basement to play games. Hey Suzyq and Welcome. Im not banded yet. Still doing my dietician visits. I have PCOS too. Thats why I am getting the band. I have tried everything know to man to lose weight. Only thing that works for me is eating a lower carb diet. I can lose weight....its just keeping it off thats the problem. My endo dr. suggested having the lap band placed, and here I am. I quit smoking almost 3 months ago. I smoked for 20+yrs and was very concerned about my health, plus my surgeon strongly suggested that I quit. I wish you the best of luck with your journey.

First let me say:welcome: and congrats on your date. Second...... brother you have your hands full!!! I bet your life is so full of love with all those little ones. How fun for you.
