Hi Ladies!!! We just got back from our cruise and I haven't had time to read yet.... just wanted to say Hey.

Ladyroz~I just wanted to say way to go!!!! 30lbs is wonderful. I think Debbie will be able to answer your questions about fills she's a seasoned pro now. And your are right...To God be all the Glory!!!

I've got my fingers crossed and saying a prayer for ya SpecialK. I have my last dietician appt. today, and then they will submit everything to my insurance!!!! I am praying for an approval when I get back from vacation.

Oh Lady QT, your family has been through it the last few months. I will keep your mom and your whole family in my prayers. And your right, God is good, all the time.

Morning Ladies~ Welcome Ladyroz, and congrats on your band. I'm in Heath.... so not to far from you. 27 lbs is awesome. Debbie has had a few fills now, I know she would be happy to answer any questions you have. Debbie, you poor thing. I'm glad your feeling better now, but how scary for you. Niki~ I noticed last night that Meijers has some suits out, but I really didn't look at them. You could check out Fashion Bug or the Avenue on line, they could ship to you in just a few days. They both have some really pretty things. I know your babies have to be excited about these trips. My babies, (22 and 25) are counting the minutes now. My DD calls everyday and says "Hey Momma, just wanted to say "X" days till we leave, and "X" days till we cruise". (I'm more excited than they are:lol:) Our cruise last year was so nice, but there will be 16 of us this year and they are all so much fun to be with. SpecialK~ I use fitday, and I've had a few of those Oh my Golly moments over the last couple months. Isn't it crazy how many calories are in processed foods????? The problem is, they're fast and taste so good. Sue~ Hang in there hon, I know you will get good news this time. Ok, I have to get something done today. I hope you all have a blessed day.

Hey Angie~ I am feeling your pain in wanting to get it over NOW. Once I made the decision to go forward with the surgery I wanted it done right that second. After I did 4 months of PCP weigh-ins, my insurance (Principal Life) said they also needed 6 months dietician visits...... I couldn't find anyone willing to do a 6 month class. Thank God Katie was willing to extend hers to once a month. Oh well, I guess things work out the way they are supposed to. I am praying that my insurance just approves me and I get a date, SOON! I don't know what I would do if I had to pay up front. I guess I would just have to take out a loan..... that really sucks. I know there's an insurance thread on the main board, maybe someone else has the same insurance and could answer those questions.

Welcome Angie!! How exciting, I'm going to Dr. Ramos @ Barix, and my name is Angie too. I have one more visit with the dietician, Katie, and then I'm ready to submit to insurance. Its been about 10 months, and I am finally seeing an end in sight. I usually post on the NE one been banded at Mt. Carmel thread. Feel free to join us over there, everyone is very supportive.

Good evening girlies!!! We got wonderful news yesterday!!!! The oncologist said he wants us to see a surgeon and have an ultra sound done, just as a second opinion. If all turns out good there he said we will just do follow ups every 3 months for at least 3 years then every year after that and consider it cured. If anything is found during the ultra sound, then we will have to do surgery and then chemo and radiation (NOT GONNA HAPPEN!) So, all in all, great news. We left there thanking God! Sue~I'm so glad to hear from you. I am praying with all my heart that you get good news this time. I just know they are gonna approve you this time. I would love to do a scrapbooking get together. That sounds like so much fun! I really want to do the Columbus meeting, but we will be gone during that one. If it can be scheduled after I get back (Jan. 31-Feb12) I will do my best to be there. Or maybe do another one after that. I just started scrapbooking around Thanksgiving, but so love it. My sister is into it too (she is planning on being banded at OSU). Just let me know when and where. SpecialK~ I love Maxine, she just says it like it is. Very funny. ginnee~ I've heard Riverside is very good. My PCP has 2 pts that have had WLS there, and he just raves about them. Ok, time to see whats on the tv. Everyone have a blessed evening!

I would love a "crafters vacation" I'm taking some small cross stich projects to do on the way to Fl..... once again, not the best at it, but LOVE it :pray2:. Debbie~ I'm missing Sue too. SpecialK~ your in my prayers today! I understand her concerns about RNY. Its very scary, even now. It sounds like she really is concerned about your well being, not just your money. I'm so happy my PCP is my friend... I talked to him as my friend first, and then asked his medical advice about wls. Everyone have a blessed day.

SpecialK- Yeah!!! You're not crazy!! I don't quilt, but I would love to learn. I found this quilted pink material at Jo-Anns and thought I would make a bag out of it. I love to sew and craft..... I'm not very good at it, but I love it. I have forced all my loved ones at one point or another to accept one of my "creations" LOL. I was reading that they even offer scrapbooking cruises. I never would have thought they would have those. That's pretty cool. I would love to take one of those Donna Dewberry classes. One stroke painting looks like so much fun. Ok, off to bed. Afternoon girlies! Niki, I do feel your pain there. My DH really is the greatest, but I still dont want him to know exactly what I weigh. I used to be pretty uncomfortable in most situations. Then I got cancer and had to do chemo. After being bald, no eyebrows, AND FAT :tongue:, I learned to not care to much what people think of me!! :eek: I'm pretty busy sewing today. I'm making a very cute quilted bag to take with me on the cruise. I love bags and purses. Its the one thing I can buy and know its gonna fit :cool:. I usually pass them down pretty quick to make room for new ones though. My DD, and DIL love when I call and say first one here gets her pick. They have their choice of any one they want except my Longaburger baskests. Alright, back to the craft room. I'll check in later..... maybe, American Idol starts again tonight! Finally something new to watch.

That is so freaky!!! I know I'm way to free with the info I share. Funny thing is I drive my kids crazy with what they should and shouldn't share on their myspace pages, and they are grown with babies and living on there own. My DH would be just like yours, especially if it concerned my kids or grandbabies. I know I feel safer here for some reason.... We share our deepest darkest secrets here...our weight,:eek: that's something I don't even feel safe telling my DH and he knows everything about me!

Good afternoon ladies. Niki, I just heard from my PCP today. He is sending all my paper work in and wanted to be sure he had everything. I am so praying I will hear from my insurance company when I get back from vacation. I just want this over with now. I am so tire of waiting..... that has to be the worst part of the process. I know for sure I can do a liquid diet, been there before, I have had major surgery so pain is no big deal...... I just HATE WAITING!!!!! Its been 10 months now ARRRRGGG! Ok, now that I have that out in the open, I can move on. :smile: How is everyone else doing? I saw over on the Columbus thread that there will be another meeting Feb. 9th. I will be on vacation then, but I really want to meet up with everyone. I think it is such a lift to your spirit to be around other people going through the same experiences you are. Hey girlies, Debbie, I am so happy for you. I know you have to feel like a brand new woman, and just think its only gonna get better for you. SpecialK, hon you are moving right along. That bill sure does hurt the pocket book though . We went to the James yesterday to see the oncology surgeon. She said she sees no need for further surgery (THANK GOD), but she still wants him to see the oncologist for his input on treatment. We see him on the 17th. So, we wait some more I had my last monthly weigh in with my PCP today. Down 6 lbs this month! I am so happy about that. Now I have to see Katie (dietician) on the 30th for my last visit before Barix submits everything. It feels like its been forever working on this stuff, but its almost over now. Hope everyone had a blessed week, and have a great weekend.
