Evening everyone! Niki~ I'm so happy to hear you're doing so well. I've had you in my prayers. Its good to know you bounce back that quick. My mom is planning to be with me too when my DH can't.... Isn't it a blessing to have a good momma? I thank God every day for mine. Sue, Kathy and Greg~ you guys have been in my prayers the last couple days. I can only imagine the jitters you are having right now. I went to the siminar at Mt. Carmel on Wed. Dr. Choban was the surgeon speaking that night.... she was very nice. I spoke with David after the meeting and told him my situation. He said I should write a little note at the bottom of each page of the application explaining whats happened with Barix. I did that and went one further...... I wrote a letter and attached it as well. David said he has heard my problem so many time with Barix. He said so many people agree to do the "payment plan" because they are so tired of the process and they are desperate to have the surgery by that point. I can understand.... Well, anywho, back to the waiting game. Hi Debbie.... Haven't heard alot from you lately. Hows it going? Lady..... Oh My Golly!!!!! I can not believe they allowed her to keep that dog. I thought they automatically took an animal if it bit someone. Sadly you hear things like this all the time. People not taking care of their children or their pets is such a problem. I agree with Sarah..... take the dog AND the kids away. That poor little boy. I will keep him in my prayers. You never said how the boys BB team did. DH and I are huge high school football fans.... LICKING VALLEY PANTHERS!!!

Only 2 days Niki. This has been a long journey for you to get to this point. How excited you must be! Sue, K & Greg you guys are just around the corner. Its funny how everyone got their dates about the same time. Mt. Carmel is gonna be hoppin for the next couple weeks.

Hey Niki~ glad your home safe... how was the trip? I hope you got rested up. Your big day is just around the corner now. How wonderful to have a DH that loves you enough to be concerned for your safety. Give that boy a big hug! I hope everyone stayed warm and safe this weekend. My DD, her DBF, and DGD stayed with us. They live east of Zanesville and work in Hebron so we were alot closer for them. It was so nice having my little grandaughter here with me.... (but she is a bed hog :biggrin2:). She just turned 5, and she sure can brighten the worst of days. We made french toast for bk and then spent the morning in my craft room making an easter door hanger for her papaw. I think little ones that age are so funny, she had me in stiches showing me how she learned to wink and cross her eyes..... though her wink was more of a fast blink with both eyes. After the day I had Friday, I think God knew I needed some grandbaby lovin's to lift my spirits. I hope everyone has a blessed Monday.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. Its nice to know your not alone when things like this happens. I contacted Mt. Carmel this afternoon and there is an "educational forum" on March 12th so I got signed up for that. Barbra, the lady I spoke with, said she couldn't answer many of my questions, but I should bring everything I've done to date with me to the seminar and they will be able to answer everything at that time. Funny, I'm not as excited to attend this siminar as I was the last one :tea:.

I got a call from Barix Clinic to set up for my pre-op testing. They will do it next week, but still waiting for an EKG report. I made a call and got that ball rolling AGAIN. I did my dance cause its so close now. The phone rings again, its the insurance dept calling to let me know how much I will need to bring to my next visit....get ready for this.....$11,460.00. I just about fell over. When I first contacted them they said they were in my net-work, and my insurance said the same and Mt. Carmel wasn't, now THEY ARE NOT!!!!!!! If I cussed I would be doing it right now!!!! I have cried for about an hour. Take a guess at who is in my net-work now...... Yep, MT. CARMEL!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRGGGG!!!! ALMOST ONE FULL YEAR LATER!!!!!!!! I am so angry!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to start over again at Mt. Carmel where I wanted to go in the first place..... This is a very sucky day!

ndwife~ I have a CPAP and I thank God for it. When I wake up I feel like I have finally gotten some sleep & I don't feel tired during the day anymore......thats a huge plus. I pray you DONT have sleep apnea, but if you do, the CPAP will make you feel so much better.

Lady~ I do wish I could be with the group at Mt. Carmel.....that would be so much fun, and what a bonding experience walking the halls and singin' the song. Those who pass gas together.....well, lets just say you better be pretty good friends huh??? :cursing::scared2: BTW~ you are about 2/3 of the way goal now! WTG!!! You and Debbie have really inspired me over the last year. Thanks girls.:drool:

Debbie~ I love to read your posts about feeling free and happy!!!! They give me hope. Look at your ticker~ one more lb and your gonna be at the 80lb mark in 9 months!?! You rock girlie!!!

Thanks Greg~ I am feeling the jitters as well. I think its only natural though..... This is a life changing event WE ARE DOING TO OURSELVES! I only slept a few hours last night just thinking about all the changes that are about to take place, from the pre-op diet to the pain after surgery. I have had a couple major surgeries, and I can deal with pain thats not my fault, but this is self inflicted. ARE WE ALL CRAZY???? The answer to that lies in your post...... I want to "live longer and be here to enjoy my family and grandchildren". That my friend is worth it all. :thumbup:

Thanks Sue & Specialk~ I'm just so happy. It's really gonna happen now! It felt like just a pipe dream before, but now I have it in writing.

LJM~ You are such an inspiration! Your in my prayers for a fast recovery.

I GOT MY LETTER!!! I AM APPROVED!!!! OH MY GOLLY!!!! I thought DH checked the mail yesterday, and he thought I did...... He checked it this evening and there it was!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!!

Welcome Greg! It will be nice to have a mans point of view on things. Mt. Carmel is gonna be busy on March 17th.....you, Sue & SpecialK all walking the halls together.

Wow Sarah, that was so great of you to go into such detail. Thank you. I love hearing about everyones experiences, it really does help with the jitters. I'm still waiting for my approval letter.....ARRRRGGG!! I hate waiting, and thats all I've done for almost a year now LOL.

Hey Niki~ everything is submitted, just waiting now on insurance approval. They said its taking about a month once you get approved, so looks like the end of March or April. I would love to join you girls and be a Marchie too. (fingers crossed)

KTBugg.... did you go to the ER? I am praying for you. Hi Debbie! I almost forgot, but I think you are right on with a slight unfill for your cruise. I didn't go crazy, but I was so thankful I could eat.

First.............YAHOOOOOO SUE!!!!! :cursing: I am so happy for you!!! It has been a long fight, but you made it through my friend. I am so happy for you too SpecialK. Everyone will be banded around the same time (fingers crossed) Niki....Your vacation is just around the corner, I bet your babies are so excited. I hope your family has a great time. LadyQT.....girl your family has been under attach! Enough already! Thank God your sons ok, and that dentist rocks. DH and I have been fighting some sort of nasty bug for ever it seems. DH came down with it 2 days before we left for the cruise and started antibiotics. He felt better for the cruise, but ended up going back to the doc for another dose of antibiotics on Tue. last week and just went back to work yesterday. The day after we left I started having sinus issues and tried zicam and an otc sinus medication, that held me till the last two days of the cruise, and then I went to bed and didn't get out again until they made me leave when we docked in Tampa. OH MY GOLLY this is the worst bug I've ever had, and I got my flu shot this year too!! That being said, I had a wonderful vacation. It was so nice to be with my family (16 of us) in such exotic places. We went to Grand Cayman Island and swam with the sting rays!!!! Then to Cozumel Mexico....I got a very cute Coach purse and wallet there. Then to Belize, I can't even say how beautiful it was there. Then Roatan Honduras. I met a little boy in Honduras named Jeffery. He was 8 yrs old. He said "Miss, is there snow on your island?" I wanted to bring that baby home with me. I even tried snorkeling and LOVED it. I never would have believed that I would be able to say I have snorkeled in Honduras, but I have. I get so emotional when I think of how blessed I am and how good God is to me. 6 years ago the doctor said I had terminal cancer (5% chance of survival) I should go home and get my affairs in order..... I refused to believe that and I trusted that God would bring me through it, and here I am 6 years later doing things I only dreamed about. Ok, off to bed. I hope everyone has a blessed day tomorrow.
