Morning everyone!! I posted yesterday and for some reason it never showed up??!!?? Quick recap... I met Andrea at Mt. Carmel for my one on one nutrition appt. She is a very nice person. I just have my stress test today, pre-op nutrition class on the 1st, and then meet with Dr. Miller on May 13th. Niki~ hang in there girlie!! the 29th is just around the corner now. Kathy~ STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES!! You know you are dedicated and doing all the right things, so it has to be that your retaining Fluid. Hey ndwife good to hear from ya! I'm off to have my stress test........ I just love stress tests :redface:.

Even though my son is grown and has a baby of his own now, he is still a momma's boy and needs his mommy if he's sick. This is a great group of people. You will find lots of support here. I saw the cardiologist on Monday. He said he wants a stress test (April 24th) just to rule out any damage that may have occured d/t chemo. He thought everything looked fine beyond that:thumbup:. I have my one on one with Andrea on the 21st at the testing center.... anyone know for sure where that is?? I have a pre~op class on May 1st from 6-8p there as well. I am scheduled to have my surg. consult on May 13th with Dr. Miller at Mt Carmel East office. YEAH!! I should have the check list checked off by the first of the month and just be waiting on a date I HOPE AND PRAY!!!!

Hello Niki, Sue, Greg, Lady, Debbie, and anyone else I've forgotten to mention. I went to Barix and signed a medical records release on Wed. They faxed everything to Mt. Carmel as I waited.... I'm so happy they didn't give me a hard time about it. I made my cardio appt for Monday, and then I have my first nutrition appt with Andrea on the 21st. She said I could go ahead and schedule my pre-op nutrition class, so thats scheduled for May 1st. All I have to do is wait for someone to call and schedule the surgeons appt. I think things a moving along pretty good right now.:sad_smile: I am so excited about the fashion show and getting to meet some of you tomorrow. It will be so nice to put faces to people that are such a support in one of the biggest decisions in my life. Everyone have a blessed day!

Oh my Golly K!!!! I would be so angry with that kind of message on my office voice mail. I'm an open book and everyone knows I'm gonna have WLS, but that is private medical info. As a nurse I would NEVER leave that type of info on a voice mail, WORK OR PRIVATE!! I would have simply stated my name, number to be reached at, and that you needed to contact them concerning rescheduling your appt (NOT WHAT THE APPT WAS FOR!!!!) Thats very unprofessional and I would be shouting from the roof that something needed to be done about her NOW!! T Alright, I feel better now :}

Greg~ I will be praying for your daughter and grandchild. Sue~ What a mess!! Thank God you can get back to work now. I have spoken with Melissa a few times and my experience was always positive as well. I think she understands because she's been through this herself. SpecialK~ I heard the starving children story too. Sad thing is, I used that same story on my kids, my son refused to give in to the pressure and is at a normal weight.... my daughter is overweight because she was so soft hearted and thought she could some how save the babies by eating for them..... so sad. I received my 2nd packet yesterday, signed it attached a 300.00 check and took it to the post office myself. Now I wait some more. :thumbs_up: I have to attend (and pay for again) a nutrition class, a support group meeting and see a cardiologist. I am making the cardio appointment today. My grandbabies should be here any minute, so everyone have a blessed day.... you are all in my prayers.

Yeah Lisa! So glad your home and doing well. I cant wait for the day that I have to force myself to eat!! Sue~ sorry your having some incision issues. I would say use use an antibacterial soap and vasoline. My dermatoligist said some people have reactions to triple antibiotic ointments and the like. SpecialK~ My sister and I are gonna try to make the fashion show and meet up with the group on the 12th. She is planning on being banded at OSU. Niki~ glad to hear you visit went so well. I called Charlene yesterday and left a message with her about not receiving my 2nd packet yet. I didn't hear anything by about 11 this morning so I called her back.... voice mail again. So I called Melissa, she said it could take 3 weeks to hear back from them. I really dont want to make anyone mad at me and delay my wait any longer, but I am gonna bug the snot out of them if I dont hear anything by Monday!!!! I know they are so busy right now, but I have been waiting for 1 year now!!!!! I refuse to pray for patience because in my own experience, God will give me every oppernunity to learn patience, so I'm gonna pray that they hurry up!!! :}

Hey Sue, I'm still hangin in!! I can't wait to join you and the other cool kids with the band :tongue::ohmy:. I was busy last week and didn't get a chance to check in. I had 3 of my grandbabies (ages 2,3, & 5), so the only thing my computer saw was pbs kids.... I can still hear the Arthur theme song running through my head . DH and I were in your neck of the woods over the weekend. We went for a drive and ended up out that way (DH grew up in the Thornville/Mt. Perry area and has "step" family in your area). Greg~ thanks for the heads up. I haven't received the 2nd packet yet....but today is 2 weeks exactly. I have been stalking the mail box though. I have heard so many great things about Dr. Choban and would love to have her as my surgeon, but I marked first available. Lisa~ your in my thoughts and prayers today. Sue, Kathy & Niki~ girls, you rock! Its good to know someone is thinking about you. I am going to give them till April 1st (2 weeks) then I'm gonna call everyday till I get an answer. I don't want to be a pest, but waiting another year to get my life back is just not an option .

Hey Debbie~ I'm sorry you had a problem with your appt. today. Is there any way you could get in to see Dr. Price or Miller? Its kinda strange that should happen to you. At the siminar last week Dr. Choban was saying she had a pt that was going to have an unfill for her cruise. She said she was happy to do the unfill because you could get something stuck and not be near a doctor who understood the band and they could do possible damage to your port. When she was talking about this, I said to DH..... I bet shes talking about Debbie, and I'm glad to hear she's good with this because we go on a cruise every year. BTW~ Is this your first cruise?? I hear Disney is wonderful. What are your ports of call?? We are gonna do eastern caribbean next time. We have only been to the western caribbean... Grand Cayman, Cancun, Calica, Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan Island, Honduras. I LOVE IT ALL!! If I had it my way we would live in the caribbean...... but we have those darn kids and grandbabies. I never get to do anything I wanna do!
