Missy, I'm pre band and can't help with the meal plans. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I lost my dad about 2 years ago and its starting to get easier, but I still miss him everyday. I will keep you in my prayers. Ang

Lady, I so can't wait to be banded. Sue and I will be the babies of our little group. It's almost very "unreal" right now. I know its gonna happen, but in the back of my head wls is something that other people do. I can only dream about it, and it will never happen for me. Kind of like when I saw my grandson being born, very "unreal". -

Sue........6 days till 1st class:whoo: Angie.....2 classes down, 5 to go:clap2: Debbie, thanks for the info on what you eat. I guess it just seems like so much when you can only eat about 1 cup (or less) of food at a time. I hate fish. I truely wish I could force myself to eat it, but I get sick just smelling it. Oh Lady Q T, how terrible for you . I feel so bad for you. I'm glad your ok and at least you can laugh about it. Did it hurt? I've had a ton of blood draws in my day. I can deal with that with no problem, but your getting stuck in a very tender area for a fill :fear:. Well my 1st day back to low carbing has gone ok. I was so busy at work and then I went shopping so I didn't have much time to think about anything today. I know from past experience that the cravings for sweet things goes away after the first week . Well I hope you all have a blessed day tomorrow. -

I'm gonna try to jump start my weight loss. I know I have at least 5 months to go, but there is no reason for me to be sitting back and packing on the pounds just because I know I'm gonna have WLS. I have PCOS so the only way I have ever lost weight is to low carb (problem is it came back as soon as I added in a few carbs) This time I wont be able to add in carbs, I will be getting the band. The dietician said she wants me to start eating like a banded person now as well. She suggested I use a toddler spoon and fork set, and gave me a food diery to keep. She wants me to get at least 63g of protein and limit my calories to 1600. That is some major protein!!:omg: How are you girls doing that?? I know that shakes have a huge amount, but I am having a hard time picturing how you can eat anything except protein and drink shakes. PLEASE SHARE YOUR SECRETS. So anywho, just thought I would get a start at moving my ticker over alittle. Debbie, I'm so glad to see your ticker:bounce:, and its very pretty too. If you find anything out about Omnipaque PLEASE let us know. Hope you all have a blessed Tuesday! -

Sue.....7 days till 1st class Ang.....2 classes down...5 more to go :bananapowerslide:This is us doing the insurance dance. (its really not that pretty when you see it in real life LOL) I hope everyone enjoys the holiday. I'm not going to do much of anything today. My husband has to work, so I will be catching up on some much needed house cleaning . I love it when I'm alone in the house and can actually accomplish something. I hope you all have a blessed day. -
Glad to hear you're up and doing well!

Deb, I think I know what your problem might be. It looks like you might be pasting it somewhere else. Mine did that at first when I pasted it on my MS works word processor. Try pasting the image not the web address. Thats what I did. I know I will have to go in and edit my ticker and repaste it, but oh well..... Hope that helps -

Hang in there Sue . I know the frustration is hard sometimes. I have been waiting forever it seems, and I'm just now seeing an end in sight, even though its 5 more months .... it is an end. I started this process in April and started making myself CRAZY. I finally had to stop and say to myself "it is gonna happen, maybe not in my time, but it will happen for me too" I think you and I should start a count down. Sue.....9 days till 1st class:whoo: Ang.....2 classes down...5 more to go:clap2: Hang in there hon, we will get through this. -
Hey Barbara, just wanted to say welcome and congrats on the date.

Taking time to introduce myself
Thinner me replied to tree's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Tree, You asked my story, so here goes. I'm 39 and married to a wonderful man. Combined we have 3 grown children and 6 grandbabies. I am still pre band, but working on it. Everything is finished now except 5 of 7 nutrition classes. I researched and prayed for over a year about wls and finally decided on the band. I really feel it is the best tool for me personally. I have my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted. -
Welcome Julie, You have come to the right place for info and support. I'm not banded yet either, but learning so much from everyone here. Good Luck!!!! Ang

Sue, That's what my insurance (Principal) requires. I would say you're better off contacting your insurance provider and asking them for a list of requirements that need to be met. That's what I did after Barix sent me their requirements. I wanted to be double sure with no misunderstandings. Don't get yourself worked up until you find out from them what they require. Good luck, and let me know what they say. -

Good Morning Ladies!:ranger: You are welcome for the ticker info. Trust me, is was a freak accident that I was able to figure that out. I am usually calling one of my kids to figure out anything technical:noidea:. Lady, I have attended 2 dietician meetings so far. Katie (the dietician) has a set program for 3 month classes that meets every week, but she just stretched it out over the 6 month period. I am so thankful that she was able to get me into a group that was already in progress for August. If not it would have pushed my date back another month . I have to agree with you, our little group is very cozy, I love it here. . Sue I'm feeling your pain hon. There is so much involved in all this, unlike the mindless effort it took to put the weight on :hungry:. Feel free to complain anytime you want, I'm all ears....Lord knows you to may have to return the favor sooner than you think. Deb, :waytogo: Woo Hoo to you. 43lbs is way cool!!!! I so can't wait to be on the band wagon. It seems I have been waiting forever. You are such an inspiration :hail:. I hope you all have a blessed Day!!! -
