BIG MISTAKE! I should have delivered that one as well. It took almost 2 months for them to get it to Charlene. IMHO I would make a trip to each doc and insist on taking it yourself. You will know for sure that each clearance is in Charlenes hands and it will relieve the stress you are feeling right now. Best of luck to you. Hi everyone!! Niki and Kathy~ WOOT!! WTG!!! Hi everyone!! Just checking in. It was 4 weeks yesterday that I had my surgery and I am down 32.5 lbs. It blows my mind. I have so much energy now. Last night I was on the floor with my grandson playing cars for over an hour and still had the energy to go for my nightly walk. That never would have happened 4 weeks ago. I am loving my new life!!! Kathy~ congrats!! I'm sure passing that test takes a load off your mind. I'm doing pretty good. I had a nasty night Monday with that darn drain. I must have turned funny and it moved and was pushing on a muscle wrong. It hurt so bad I couldn't even take a deep breath. I had it removed on Tue. morning, but man oh man that baby hurt. Dr. Miller was very happy with my progress thus far (21 lbs in 2 wks). I see him again in 5 wks for labs and follow up. I had my nutrition class yesterday. YEAH!!! I get pureed foods now!!! I was so sick of creamed soups. I'm heading out the door to see my cousins son play football so everyone have a blessed day!

I'm so happy to see this thread here. I have been a member of LBT for well over a year and love it here. I had open RNY on Aug 27th. No revision. I serously thought about the band for over a year and then decided RNY was the way to go for me. So far so good. I have my drain removed on Tues. (I'll be happy to see that thing go). I can't wait to hear everyones stories.

Hi girlies, I'm home. Sorry its taken so long to post, but I don't think straight on pain killers, and I've had quite a lot of that lately. Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. Surgery went great with no complications. I had open RNY so I have an incision thats 4" long and a drain. I couldn't believe how good my incision site looked. The drain will come out this week (thank God). I was on clear liquids Wed. and Thur. and then went to full liquids when I came home Fri. I have not been hungery at all..... that sounds so strange to me. I am having trouble getting in more that 45 to 50oz of water a day, but it's getting better every day. I have been walking about 10 min. at a time on my treadmill 4 or 5 times a day. It really helps with the soreness. I get tired pretty easy, but I understand thats fairly normal. Everyone at Mt. Carmel treated me wonderful, from the girl that checked me in to the student nurse that pushed me to my car when I was leaving. I couldn't have asked for better treatment. Patty~ Good luck tomorrow. Thanks so much for the prayers and well wishes! You guys are truely the best :thumbup:. Dr. Miller said he expects me to be home by Friday evening, so I will check in as soon as I can. DH and I just spent the last hour deep cleaning the kitchen. He has a touch of OCD and HAD to pull out the stove and fridge TODAY to sweep and mop. Oh well, it is helping the time pass. Welcome oktoberfest. It's always nice to have new people join us. You should be hearing something pretty soon. I think it took 2 weeks or so. Charlene my have a helper now, so that may speed up the process for you. Kathy~ how did your walk go? Sarah~ glad to hear your feeling better, even with the slight gain. Heather & Sarah~ Sorry to hear about your "glitches". I have read on other threads about people going through this very situation. How scary for you guys. BTW~ 60 & 70 lbs is AWESOME!!! WTG!! I had my pre-op testing yesterday. I was in a group with 3 other ladies. Everything went very smoothly and I was out of there by 1:30. I see Dr. Miller on the 14th and then surgery on the 27th. Melissa addressed the problems with the office staff. She said that they were just approved to hire someone to help Charlene (can I get an amen anyone??). Everyone have a blessed day!

Thanks Kathy and Sue. I cant wait to finally be on the losers bench with you. Lynn~ I know from past experience I could tell in my face first. (I worry about my boobs, they are to small already :thumbup:) Lady~ its great to hear from you. You are right on with why I had to wait. I know that in my spirit, but you know the head takes over and tries to run things . I have learned so much from this journey already.

All I have to do is bend over sometimes and I'm down for days. I find a long warm shower and a couple vicodin are the only relief when it's really acting up. I'll keep you in my prayers. Trust me, I'm calling everyday. I have left message after message and still no return call. Whats up with that? I know they said they will return calls within 48 hrs. I really think something needs to change in that area of their practice. I try to be understanding, and I know they are busy, but come on!! It is just rude to ignore phone calls and voice mails. :thumbup: OK, I feel better now.:confused:

Hey Sarah~ WTG with 50lbs!! You are doing great now. I'm still waiting for a call from Charlene about my date. I called last Tuesday and left a message, but no reply. I call every day and get her voice mail. I'm begining to think she is not returning my call just to torture me!!! I turned 40 on Saturday. I really thought I would have had surgery and been on the mend by then. My DH had a nice party for me, but I was still sad. Hi Kathy, I'm still here, just nothing new to report I guess. I called Charlene yesterday to see if she knew anything about my date yet... yep, voice mail again. She usually returns my call the next day so I expect her call today WITH MY DATE :} Hi everyone!!!
