  1. I'm new to the forum (I've been a lurker though). I had my surgery three days ago and am pleasantly surprised at how good I feel just three days out. I haven't had nausea or vomitting. My abdomen doesn't really hurt - it just feels a little tight and sore when I use my stomach muscles. I am following all of my doctor's recommendations regarding eating slowly, taking small sips of Water, taking Vitamins, eating Protein, walking, etc. In the three days post-op I've lost about 9 pounds. I don't expect to lose this much normally though. I didn't eat any solid food on the day of surgery or the two days after surgery.
  2. Yep, you're right about feeling dizzy. I have twin 8 month old girls. I put them into daycare full-time, until I get approved from doctor to lift over 20 pounds. My husband lifts them in the meantime. Honestly, I was expecting to be much more sore and achy post-op. My c-sxn was really hard to recover from and I guess I was worried that it would be just as difficult with vsg. I think it must be because it was done laproscopically. Too bad c-sxns can't be done laproscopically, then I might consider having one more child!
  3. Mamamckinzie, where did you have your surgery? Are you at home now? I Had some upper back pain for a few days. I thought it might be gas bubbles traveling upwards
