  1. I am 7 weeks out from surgery and one of my incision sites it really hurting. There is a marble size lump under the skin and it tends to hurt more when I bend over or move around too much. Any thoughts? Next, I have not lost anything for the past two weeks... How long has your plateaus lasted?

    Carbs vs. Protein

OK... So I have found something strange... I can eat about the same amount of carbs at one time as I did prior to surgery but only about 1/4 of the protein. What gives? I thought my sleeve was supposed to keep me from over-eating. I'm almost 6 weeks out and can eat pretty much anything. Has anyone experienced this?

    Carbs vs. Protein

Thanks! I made a huge effort to be educated about this whole experience. Now, being post-op almost 6 weeks, it's like I'm starting new!

    Hungry Gastric Sleevers!

I can totally relate! Prior to surgery there were two different forms of physical hunger "pains' for me; the weak, light-headed, and nausea inducing feeling and the stomach growling feeling. Prior to surgery, if I ate when my stomach was rolling and growling, it would make the growling stop with was a relief. Now... It doesn't matter what or how much I eat, my stomach is always growling. I'm starting to agree with the whole acidy stomach idea. I'm going to try the gaviscon and see what happens!
  6. Hi all! I'm new to this forum, so bare with me! I had my surgery on 6/20/11 and ever since I woke up from the anesthesia, I've been dealing with a constant grumbly seemingly hungry stomach! I understand that my stomach has changed and it's probably normal to be more aware of it's movement but, I feel like I need to eat all the time!!! Has anyone else noticed this? And what happened to the "not feeling hungry due to the lack of stomach hormone" situation? Help!

Why am I hungry all the time?

I have been eating solid protein and less the shakes. Maybe I need to up the Protein shake intake?
  8. I'm not as far out as you but I definately notice that if I sit for extended periods of time, my stomach muscles get very sore. To the point that I have to hunch over a little and take a few minutes to stand up straight.
  9. Awake and annoyed with grumbly stomach!!!
