From the album: Run For Your Lives
Me with the scared sh@#less look!! Ha ha ha!! -
I am definitely what you would call a "slow loser", 11 months out and only lost 79lbs. I've been exactly where most of you are. Sad and upset that the scale isn't moving fast enough like it does for everyone else. But maybe this will put things into perspective before and after pics of me. This is what ONLY 79lbs. in 11 months look like and you know what I'll take losing that then gaining that any day! =) I'm very happy with my sleeve! We always want more which is what got us in this mess in the first place. Give it time.

I Did It! Before/after Pics
DisappearingDivis replied to DisappearingDivis's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yup! You get 3 flags (like flag football) and the zombies chase you trying to take them. If you cross the finish line with even 1 flag you survived! Some zombies just stumble past you but others will chase you for yards and since this was hiking terrain it was a killer!! LOL!! I bumped into a zombie clown that made me run the fastest I've ever run in my life! That guy never even got close, ha ha ha!!! -

Ha ha ha! It was a zombie infested, obstacle mud run. Out of 4 runners I was the only one who didn't survive the zombie apocalypse and became one of the undead at the finish line! -

10 Months Post Op And Sad Changes
DisappearingDivis replied to imawhodat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm sorry your going trough such a rough patch (HUG). I have to admit that one of the first thoughts through my mind when someone is divorcing after WLS is because of losing weight. But I don't think that applies to every marriage! Some have issues well before and unfortunately the emotional strain of WLS brings out every imperfection in our relationships. I've noticed that is even true of friendships. I know it's hard to ignore the BS people say but PLEASE don't let it hinder all the hard work you've done! Try and find another emotional outlet for your feelings. You've done do much in such a small amount of time. The fact that you're seeking therapy shows you have a good head on your shoulders and an open mind. Good Luck!! -
Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced a migraine headache after a tough work out? I've noticed the last two weeks have been tough on me. It started after I began taking harder classes like Boot camp, Body pump and Step. I've made sure I had enough Protein before the gym and I do well with my Water but I can always up the amount. Other than that I'm not sure what else I can do other than dropping the amount of classes I take a week but I really don't want to do that. I've always been prone to migraines but this is just getting ridiculous!! Any suggestions? Any advise would help. Thanks

Massive Migraine After Hard Wourkout
DisappearingDivis replied to DisappearingDivis's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Thanks everyone for the great advise! Specially for the article BenisaMartim! I'm going to make sure I warm up for at least 10 min before a hard work out and if that's not enough I will increase my carbs. Hope it works! -

Relationship With Hubby..better Or Worse After Sleeve Results?
DisappearingDivis replied to betterthanbefore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I spoke about this subject in depth before the surgery and came to an understanding. If at any point any one of us felt insecure, left out or unappreciated we would go to counseling without fear that the other would get defensive. (Hubby and I enjoy the neutral third party perspective) We are both very competitive so of course he started the gym with me! He's eating anything healthy I make and not only did I get him to sign up for a 5k with me but 4 other family members too! So far it's been great but every now and then we have to remind each other to make more of an effort to be more "lovey-dovey". (we have never been too mushy!) I always tease him that he's a "chubby chaser" but the truth is he was with me when I was thinner and stayed with me when I got fat so I know I have someone who loves me for me. I couldn't ask for a better man, he doesn't exist! -
Not Sure Where To Post?
DisappearingDivis replied to Solo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so sorry for the hoops you have to jump through Solo. I was wondering where you live (State & city)? -
Just wanted to post my first before and after pictures. I was suprised when I saw the pictures since I've been avoiding cameras for many years now, lol. It's been 3 months, 49lbs total (41lbs since surgery), 3 dress sizes and countless inches! I'm loving it! Hard work finally starting to show! Around 280lbs. 231lbs.

Try not to ger stressed, my surgery was scheduled 3 different times! All that time does help you take a good look at your behaviors and how you got to this point. So try not to get discouraged. Good luck, if I can do it anyone can! -

I Had My Sleeve Done December 15Th 2011 Im 3 Months Post-Op Is Anyone Else 3 Mo Post-Op If So How Are You Doing?
DisappearingDivis replied to Lucky Lady 702's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Lucky Lady! You are doing great! I had surgery a day after you on the 16th of Dec. and I've lost 41lbs. I know it's a little compared to most but its a lot in my world! I to had a fear of stretching out my sleeve but now I'm a lot more secure that what I eat and how much I eat is okay. If you follow your Dr.'s guide lines you should'nt worry too much. Good luck and keep up the great work!
