I am nearly 2 weeks out and struggling to get 500 a day, more like high 300s a couple of days, mid 400s..The doctor's office didn't really give me a target range..so, like you, I'm interested as to what I should be taking in at this point.
I was also sleeved on the 26th! I just went for my check up yesterday and my Dr released me to do part soft food early..I think I wanted to kiss the man! That last week was seriously making me crazy! Now that I've had some real food its like night and day..Hang in there!
Im new at this and all but I keep hearing that if you are stalled you should raise your calories and that helps get the scale moving back down..so maybe it will be a blessing in disguise!
Thanks guys, this makes me feel so much better! Its always good to hear from others going through the same things! Many Blessings on all of y'alls journeys!
This morning was my 2nd day on soft solids. I made 3 small (whole)eggs with softened bell pepper and onion and a little mild salsa on the side. I figured I wouldn't be able to eat all but I have no clue how much I can actually eat. I ended up eating a little over half and stopped as soon as I felt any signs of being full. This seems like a lot..I have read about those who can only eat two teaspoons.. Yet I don't feel any discomfort at all..I just don't want to be doing anything wrong. Do the amounts vary from person to person? or should I be restricting more on my own? My doctors list on what to eat and not eat is minimal..so I feel a little lost.
I am in the same boat! I was sleeved on August 26 and today I was roaming around the kitchen like a crazy person! My family thinks it is quite comical...anyway I finally gave up and drank some hot decaff tea, it really did help! I'm ready for some real food so I feel ya!
