Hey all movie lovers.... we are having a movie night at my house on June 25th, that's a saturday night for all of us calander challanged people...lol Here is the info... What: Movie, outdoor movie, like a drive in, except we will be in lawn chairs.. When: Saturday June 25th 8:30 PM Where: 3805 Mitchell Court Sachse, Tx 75048 (this is a suburb of Dallas, NE of Garland) Who: All Lap Band people, their family,yes including kids ( If you bring your children please know that I do not have a fence and you will need to watch them closely), friends, neighbors, Just no hitch hickers please, we don't want to give them the wrong impression about us you know..lol How: 75 central expressway to George Bush freeway, 190, go east. 190 will end , you keep going, you will pass a new mall under construction on the left (I'm happy about that one), keep giong, get in the left hand lane, at Pleasant Valley turn left. ( there is a light at the intersection and a Tom Thumb on the right) Stay on that road untill it widens, get in the left hand lane, the road is now named "MILES RD" at the light "Hudson" turn left, take the 2nd right, and my house is on your right. If you get lost: 972-414-3353 "rules" at my house..... You knew there would have to be some.... No alhocol of any kind, to tobacco of any kind, no glass containers, bring your own lawn chair and bug spray. Bring any munchies you want to have or to share, just remember who we are so make sure you bring all the really fatty bad for us stuff M&M's, hersheys bars, marshmellows and graham crackers to make somores, brownies, homemade icecream....haha I look forward to seeing everyone there!!! thanks for giving me a chance to do this It will be really fun!! Sorry, no gory, crude or "R" rated though, it is outside and the neighborhood kids usualy end up in my yard to watch...

My wedding was WONDERFUL!!! It all started on Sunday, December 21st. Steven and I were in the car and he asked me what I would say if he asked me to marry him, after much convincing that he was serious and not kidding around I said yes. So the we went to tell our parents, We told him mom first because she would be going to bed soon, when she asked him when he said Christmas eve. I thought NEXT year, he meant in 3 days!! So we then go tell my parents who only lived 2 miles away from his mom. My mom was very happy and my dad took Steven out side to talk for a couple of minutes. to this day I do not know what they talked about but I do know that my dad liked him. A friend made my dress, (the same friend also mad our daughters christening gown with the left over material 5 years later!!) my best friend was my Matron of honor, his brother in law was best man. We got married at his sisters house, The Christmas tree was lit and they had a big fire in the fire place not for warmth though, We did not even have to wear jackets that day!! There were only 30 people there including the wedding party. It was the perfect night for me. My family and the man I love.

I'm looking forward to meeting you too. My son has invited some friends also so we will have several people her. It will be fun no matter how many people come!!! Hitch is a FUNNY movie!!! Bring your bug spray!!! Mosquitos are here again this year. I bought new tiki torches lastnight and the citronella oil to go in them, I had to buy new ones becaue my youngest son and soon to be x-hubby used moy old ones to tie up the sunflower plants they put in...lol See you tomorrow!!! same thing for mine also. My incisions did not bother me at all but i haave sens. skin and the steri strips made me break out. I could not stand it any longer and finally started peeling them off myself. My dr said it was fine after i told him what I had done...

So where and when is a support group meeting in the Dallas area, hopefully in the Plano, Garland area?? I need some serious help!! I am so depressed right now I'm wondering why I even did this!! I went for my 2nd post op apt and have gained weight, Now I'm only down 8 pounds total!! on top of that I have been feeling very uncomfortable since Tuesday, feel like if I could just belch it would feel better. any suggestions anyone??? Please let me know where a support group is and when..

Becky, Thank you sooo much!!! That is right in my area!! I will be out of town meeting my new niece that weekend and will be in DC for the Aug one but I'll put it on my calendar for Sept. Plus by then I'll be thinner!!! Have you ever gone back and read a post you made and thought "MAN I TYPE BAD!!" ? That was my thought after seeing all the typo's I made in this original thread post...haha

Porc, have you had your first fill yet? We got banded the same day and I'm scheduled July 8th for my first fill. How have you lost 40 lbs!!!! I have only lost 20 I know, I'm pouting, my weight loss will come but I'm just impatient!! Glad you were able to eat diner without that feeling, it's probally the worst thing about all of this..

MOVIE NIGHT UPDATE!!!! OK so last night I was standing out side at 8PM and it is not dark enough t see the movie yet sooooo Arrive at 8:30, we will start the movie by 9PM remember to bring your lawn chair and bug spray, I usually wear a light weight long sleeve shirt and that keeps the skeeters off.. Bring your munchies and sense of houmor. We will be watching "Hitch" and laghing loud enough for the neighbors to hear.. I look forward to meeting everyone.

I wonder if Starr Jones is quiet about her weight loss because she does not want to fall into that Oprah syndrome, where everything in her life is about her weight. I'll bet she did have WLS to loose that much weight. I don't think anything else would have helped.

I am with Karen, How bizarre this topice came up!! I was also thinking about the group Heart jsut the other night. Could it be because of that new show Hit me one more time or something like that, where ols rock stars get to sing their hit and then one of todays hits??? I did not know Ann had WLS. I did know Carnie had done it ( who didn't know about that one- televised and all..) Carnie looked good the las I saw, then she had the baby and did gain quite a bit, I also have not heard how much she stillneeds to loose..

Kathy, I have been on solids for several weeks now but this feeling has only been for a few days....I told mu surgeon about it but he did not seem concerned. I put myself back on liquids today to see if it helps but so far no change... I have not had my firs fill yet, it is schedule for July 8th and I am looking forward to it so tha opefully my weigh loss will kick in!!

I agree with everyone else, things happen for reasons we do not always understand untill later. In December I turned 40, my husband told me he wants a divorce, had my 18th wedding anniversary- no celebration as you can imagine- and then I lost my job. I thought life was pretty much over for me. Now here I am 6 months later, marriage is no better, he moved out and has filed for divorce, but I have a job that is actually fun- what a nice change- am finding out things about myself and am begining to like myself again. 30 years of marriage!!! GO TO HAWAII!!! Spend the $$ you will get another job and there will N E V E R be another 30th anniversary. Plus you can get one of those coconut bras there.... (that was ssooo funny penni!!!)

For those of you in Dallas you may remember the fountain at Park Central..(that is right on the interstate for those of you not in Dallas) Welllll 10 bottles of Mr Bubble liquid bubble bath when put in that fountain will bring bubbles all the way over the service road and onto the highway....Of this I speak from experience... Stina is the name my soon to be ex husband calls me..(maybe I willhave to change that part..) But Bubbles has been my nick name for a LONG time with people who know about the fountain experience way back when...

OK Movie night up date here!!!!! We will be watching "Hitch" With Will Smith. IF you have not seen this movie you are in for a treat!! It is slap you r knee funny, actually parts are slap you r neighbors knee funny!! I need a head count so I will know which part of the yard to set up the prijector in and how many stereo speakers we will need to drag outside. We do need to change the time though... 7PM it is not dark enough yet so time change to 8PM 8PM all movie goers, be at my house or be square!!

Dr, Maese also has an office in Ferris which willbe closer to you than Dallas. I can't find the # right now but it is listed under cardiology because he is actually a cardiologist, I am going to be using him for my fills after my surgeon releases me. Dr. Maese is WONDERFUL!!! He is VERY busy though so do not be offended if you feel like he is not taking a lot of time with you, If you voice your concerns he will actually stop what ever he is doing to talke to you untill he is blue in the face. He has given me a hug each time I have been there and last time, right after I hadmy stress test done he said he ws very excited for me and gave me a big hug and peck on the cheek and told me everything would work out great and he would be there to help get me nice and healthy!! He concerned about us being healthy, not just looking good. Go see him he is a ture god-send!!!
